CB - AF just arrived here this morning, my cycle seems a bit random at the mo. Would love to see Dom with a sibling...

Beadmum · 12/02/2008 14:52

Wallace - how scary, sounds like a very caring neighbourhood

hc - can dh not wait until the girls are in bed before going out, that way he can help then you can put your feet up and enjoy the peace. dh goes to the gym 2 nights a week but its after charlottes in bed so i dont mind

spin - sympathies with the rain, we have sun here too and its quite warm, not bad for scotland

cb and mae - better luck next month, we want to start trying too but want to hold off until the summer but if it takes a while then maybe we shouldnt wait, very confused.

soph & lys - glad pregnancies going well

Charlotte is just adorable these days, starting to understand some words but mainly still has her own language, constantly says wa, oo, 3, fo. Amazingly says number 3 very clearly and we understand the rest, she repeating words you say now too. Trying to pick up on when shes about to throw a wobbler and distracting her to avoid them as much as possible

Going to see another house tonight, dh has read the schedule over and over and seems so sure this is the one, im trying to be more realistic as we are not in a position to move quickly as new bathroom doesnt go in until week after next so flat cant go on the market until then. Hopefully if it is perfect they wont be in a hurry but if not it wasnt meant to be.

Have a good day ladies xx

TheGoddessBlossom · 12/02/2008 19:15

Toby has started becoming very attached to rabbit, only at bed time though. He's still a total monkey, throwing a complete wobbler one minute, shouting for what he wants till he gets it, then a squidgy adorable little chunk of lovliness the next..

So today's "Working at home" turned into:

a swim before 9am
lots of MNing
dash to the doctors for smear and depo injection - fun
back home for lunch
off to salon for nails
back for some phone calls
off to Guildford to pick friend up from hospital who had walked into a trophy cabinet at tumble tots and had to have 10 stitches
back to make boys tea then collect them, bath them, put them to bed.

So glad my bosses don't have CCTV!

HC - I am constantly trying to win the losing battle of telling DH that if I go out it is when all the work is done ie, boys are abed. When he wants to go out is the most labour intensive hour of the day, 6-7pm, bath and bed time. It's not fair. Agree with BeadMum, give him carte blanche but AFTER Emma and the Sophster are tucked up!

Right, photos and forms are done (again) think all paperwork ready, attempting passport check and send service operation mark 2 tomorrow. Will keep you posted..(bet you are thrilled)

Evening all!

Finding it much easier to stay in touch now we have a laptop- Can veg on sofa, watch tv and do MN all at the same time!!! What a life

Talking of which, I would be annoyed if DH went out that often every week too, HC. Luckily we're usually both too exhausted but he doesnn't get home till 7pm most nights anyway so I normally do the whole bedtime thing on my own!

Annie-Toby will be 3 in March so I do have my hands full! Just thought it would be really nice if they were all close together. I don't get my feet up that much but luckily Toby and Chloe both still go for an afternoon nap at the same time so I normally get a bit of time on my own!
Poor K with her skin- any chance she will grow out of it (her eczema not her skin!) as she gets older?

Mae- Chloe has a cow oomforter too- is it a Happy Horse one? her's is called Caro.
Toby has a sheep called 'sheep' and they are virtually inseparable. He often says, 'I can hear sheep crying for me' if he has misplaced him!

Spin- Chloe is just about growing out of her 6-12mth sleeping bag! And yes it feels great to have got rid of all that junk- still have LOADS of baby clothes to sort out.

Sounds like there may be a few more babies joining this thread over the next year! Good luck everyone who is ttc!

Am relieved that Chloe's speech seems to be much on a par with others here- was slightly worried about her but she has caught up massively in the last few weeks. She probably has 20-30 words but not very clear.
Have definitely started trying to make her say the word for what she wants rather that giving in to her screaming and pointing! Seems to be working a bit!

Goodnight all x

HumphreysCorner · 13/02/2008 08:55

Morning all

DH now going to help his dad at his sister's house on Saturday afternoon after work. I mean, when FIL was here blocking BIL didn't come and help. DH said I was being unreasonable (or words to that effect) when I said I was being left with the children again and the fact that BIL dion't come here. I do bedtime routines anyway as DH not home until 6-30/7.00 but he is going to all these activities straight from work. I do refuse to get him any tea when he finally gets in. Rant over again.

Have a good day all. Shopping and haircut today for us.

HC which weight do you count - the one last thing at night or one first thing in the morning?

AnnieOleTing · 13/02/2008 14:50

Afternoon all

Was off yesterday as DH had his doctor's thingy, so I had a lovely day, walking around with Kayley while Joey was at nursery, then picking him up and eating the biscuits that he made!

Not a bad night's sleep last night. Skin the same, no better, no worse.

HC, YANBU!!!

Soph, I know what you mean, you are a brave girl going for the third! Joey is only 15 months older than Kayley, so very same age difference. I often thought when Kayley was 15 months old, this would be when the next one would come along OH MY GOD!! But I stopped there. You, my lady, are a hero!! Good luck with it, eh! They are great so close together, specially now at this age, they play together and Joey even reads to her, well, tells her what's in the picture! Sweet. He has long dropped his nap though, months ago, though he has the occasional one, and Kayley, well, she never sleeps if she can help it...

Bloss, passports are SUCH a palaver. Hope it works this time. I like your day's work...

Beadmum, how was The House??

CB Good luck next month though.

Best get back to those darned mozzies

Evening all

Have had a quick catch up,hope you are ok HC xx

Lysette hope Sam holds on for ages yetxx

Ds1's GF is away to the McGuire Project this week for her stammer. He bought her a card/teddy/love heart photo frame before she left for Valentines Day and has arranged to have a dozen red roses delivered to her hotel on the 14th.Thought that was really sweet awww.

DH is taking me to our favourite restuarant tomorrow for Valentines Day. We are eating at 9pm so that the girls are asleep before we go as ds1 is babysitting. Eeeek!! He is 16.5 and very good with the dd's and we are only 5 mins away if something should happen.Just woried about it but DH is sure they will all be fine. What do all of you think?? Are we being irresponsible or not??

Have decided not to ask my mum to babysit again. I feel that she doesn't do it willingly sometimes and am fed up with her always bringing one or more of my brothers dc with her.I am pretty sure she won't offet to babysit to let us go out for our 1st wedding anniversary/my b'day in April,so if she can't offer then i would rather not ask iyswim?

Is that being stupid do you think?

Better go and check whether mindee and dd1 have finished pudding.

Have a good night all. What are you all doing for Valentines?

HumphreysCorner · 13/02/2008 17:59

Bloss-I get weighed at night at WW so count that. If I used my morning weight I would be well thin!

Will catch up later as running late due to 3pm hair cutting and shopping to unload and dishwasher to empty and the girls' tea to get ready then DH's and my tea Mozzies sound good fun actually.

Ciao

hello!

Am SO tired tonight. Think I will just go to bed after this.

Chloe has been so tired this week. Today she was in meltdown at 10.30am- crying hysterically at every little thing- I couldn't do anything with her o had to put her to bed. She slept for 2 hours then had lunch with Toby then he went to bed so I didn't get my ME time !

Annie- it is sweet the way they interact now. Chloe adores Toby and is always wanting to play rough and tumnble or give him huge hugs- she normally comes out crying! Toby says things like, 'oh look, Chloe's walking- CLEVER girl!' and 'Chloe said 'baby' Good girl, Chloe!'
But then he is very patronising- he says to me, 'go on, you can do it, mummy' when I'm trying to park the car and then 'yay you did it!' when I'm parked! (and I'm quite a good driver)
When's Joey's bday then? Must be soon? Can you believe they will be 3 though! Toby's is 18 March (handy that they're both 18th), am going for April 18th with this one (dd is 19th so you never know!)

Soph x

MaeWest · 14/02/2008 09:24

soph - yes, it's a Happy Horse one . It was a present when he was a few weeks old, and I've always encouraged him to use it as a comforter but it's just recently that he's started 'using' it.

Bloss - I am attempting the passport thing today, am using Check & Send. Am determined to take Dom to visit my friend in Geneva before he turns two and I have to buy him a ticket . When I last did my passport it came back within a week, v impressed. DH on the other hand left it until he had to go away for work and so had to book a special appointment and go and spend the day in Newport (woo!) to renew his.

Annie - say hi to the mozzies for me

PixelHerder · 14/02/2008 22:46

Hi Girls

Just a quickie for now as I'm hopelessly behind...

All good here, Emma went to the dietitian today and has put on quite a lot of weight in the last month (though they did weigh her with her clothes and nappy on ) but she's around 24 lbs.

We're introducing dairy to her diet, but it has coincided with a horrible eye infection, lots of sticky pussy stuff coming from her eyelids, nice. No digestive repercussions though thankfully.

She's very funny, latest trick is to grab her toy mobile phone whenever one of us is on the (real) phone and pace around the room babbling intensely into her phone, pausing to 'listen' for answers, bless. Still lots of tantrums though...

Will catch up properly soon, have good nights all xxx

soph28 · 15/02/2008 13:04

Phew, both down for a sleep! Have been going crazy this morning, just finding it hard to tolerate the constant noise and following me around everywhere etc.- do you ever have days like that? I feel tired despite going to bed at 8.30pm last night and sleeping till 7.20am!

Mae- that's cute that they have the same comforter! Chloe loves hers now- she took to it a few months ago which I thought was quite late cos Toby took to his by 4-6 mths! Chloe seems to call it 'baby'

Have booked Toby in for his first ever haircut at a hairdresser this afternoon. I normally do it and it always turns out quite well but thought I should really get it done properly- he has really thick hair. We are going to a kids salon where they (apparantly) can sit on tractors and watch DVD's!

Hi Pixel- does Emma have food intolerances/allergies? How are you coping with that? It's great that she seems to be coping with dairy so far! Poor thing having a horrible eye infection though- hope it gets better soon

Can't really be bothered doing anything today but have to- post birthday present to neice which is now late
buy milk, yogurts and few other basics (though really need whole food shop, can't be bothered
buy birthday present for Chloe to take to party tomorrow (her first party )
put cheque in bank
get Toby's haircut

Going to have a cuppa and a biscuit!

HumphreysCorner · 15/02/2008 13:37

Pixel-Sophie is about 23lb with her clothes and nappy on. Just remind me why Emma is under a dietician.

soph-I have can't be bothered days most of the time.

Had a great time last night at the Bistro we went to. Will have gained stones with the amount consumed. Only problem with having big meals is that it makes me ravenous the next day-doh!

soph28 · 15/02/2008 13:47

Chloe is just over 20lbs with real nappy and clothes on!

HC- I know most of my days are 'can't be bothered'- just today was worse than usual

Glad you had a nice meal last night!

Right must get myself together before the little monkeys darlings wake up

AnnieOleTing · 15/02/2008 16:50

Hello girls!
Another week down... nearly...

Joey has chicken pox... quite mild so far, I didn't even think it was it to start with, as he hadn't been ill at all, just a few spots. So poor Kayley is bound to catch it now, so we have to take her for some anti-viral treatment when she gets it...
It means we are stuck in the house for a while though...

HC, you deserve a nice treat every so often. Otherwise how would we cope?! Was it just the two of you last night? Was it all rose-mantic???

Soph, also get lots of can't be bothered days!! Most days in fact... At least you have a very valid excuse!

Pixel, Emma's such a doll. Hope the dairy thing works out. We've given up trying to switch to soya now, K just won't take it, so I'm going to wait for the allergy test results, and then get a proper one done!!

Mae, the mozzies say 'bzzzzzzzzz'

Must go dahlings, finish off, then home to the invalids...

AnnieOleTing · 15/02/2008 17:17

Hope the chicken pox aren't too bad- we've not had them here yet either though I keep expecting it!

Have updated my pics on profile if any of you want to look!

TheGoddessBlossom · 15/02/2008 21:34

evening ladeez.

Took boys for a walk with BF this afternoon, she hadn't seen H since Xmas due to him being at preschool when I normally see her etc, she couldn't believe how grown up he looked. Soph, if I remember your babies are little blondies too, well H and Toby are white blonde and I have grown H's hair for the last few months as I can't bear to cut it it's so beautiful, so now he has shoulder length white blonde hair, and looks like a right surfer dude....

Toby gets so frustrated when he can't make himself understood, I have to be pretty quick on the uptake to avoid a tantrum. They usually get one meal a day that's finger food (sandwiches etc) and the other meal is their hot one. Well I have now realised that he is screaming for a spoon, whether it's sandwiches or not. It has also dawned on me that he is shouting HELP HELP when he wants me to hold his milk bottle for him and doesnt' want to tip it up for himself (when he is going to sleep at night and we are having a cuddle). Other revelations include the fact that he is asking to watch Higgledy House when he passes me the remote and shouts HowHowHow over and over again....and he doesn't want to WEAR his Postman Pat socks he wants to HOLD them.....all day....silly me.....it's exhausting....

HC - gutted. I'm 9.2 at night and 8.12 in the morning. I'm going with my morning weight, screw WW

Dh has a cold. Guess that means no lie in for me tomorrow. Bummer.

Hi to all of you. Big love from me.

Bloss

kbaby · 15/02/2008 22:19

Sorry not been on for a while, ive discovered the art of photography and have speant hrs every night trawling the internet looking at forums etc.

Ds has had a temp the past 2 nights so im knackered from keeping him cool, spooning in calpol and being a cuddler! I feel I could sleep for a million yrs but then cant go to bed early as its the only me time I get and I feels that if I go to bed then I cant do things I want to do Ie surfing, reading etc.

DS seems to have learnt about 20 words all this week or maybe we can just understand them now. He says on, off, 123, no, yes, moon, book etc he also loves baby einstein and keeps going to the dvd stand pointing at them and saying 'dat' then he takes you to the tv, opens the dvd player and puts the dvd in. I blame DD for his TV obsession.

I feel so sorry or him as he loves playing with DD but she is so bossy and keeps saying to him that hes been naughty so to go on the naughty step(which he does) or that if he doesnt tidy up andy the elf will take all his toys away.
She's been really trying at the moment, shes been like it since xmas, tantrumming all the time, you cant get her dressed because she screams and gets hysterical, wont eat any food. Tonight from 5pm to 8pm she has just cried about everything- she didnt want a bath, then didnt want to go to bed, then after finally getting her into bed she started kicking the bed and crying because she didnt want the story that I was reading, so I stopped and left her and then shes crying because i'm not reading her a story. I cant bloody win. In the end I let her cry herself to sleep which ive never done before just because nothing I do seems to be right for her. Even mil complained about her today and she never does because DD in her eyes is perfect.

btw ds weighs 11.8kg and is a shorty at only 80cm infact hes still in 9-12m clothes.

kbaby · 15/02/2008 22:26

Sorry reading that back I can see that my spelling and grammer is terrible and ive jumped topics, sorry.

Thought i'd post a new pic of DS

AnnieOleTing · 15/02/2008 22:33

Evening all

Gosh i have no idea what Kayley weighs. She's lighter than Joey (only just though) and heavier than her toy dollys. No idea...

Also tantrums on occassion, for no particular. For instance, I put her bib on for her dinner this evening and she went off on one cos it was 'Joey's one'... He was quite happy with his purple one though. He went off on one later when he wanted his yoghurt out of a bottle but I accidentally opened it for him... obviously he usually opens it himself...

Oh and she has a cuddly bear that she has just recently taken to. Since she went to Ikea with DH and his BF. And picked up this bear. And walked out with it. Little Teef.

Bloss, you skinny minny. Would love to see a photo of your little surfer dude!
I was going to get a friend to cut Joey (Paul Weller)'s and Kayley (Russel Brand)'s hair tomorrow, but best not as she has a young baby too. oh well

Soph, what gorgeous blondies!! D'oh about your dd!!! Makes sense now, I'm just thicko.

Well, night all! Let's see what tonight brings...

AnnieOleTing · 15/02/2008 22:35

Lots of missing words there, whoops! I'm sure ye'll work it out though!
