Saw ITNG for first time today - pretty trippy isn't it! DS was entranced tho, thought it was hilarious

kbaby · 28/01/2008 22:19

Bloss- big hugs to you and dh, it is horrible losing a pet. Im really sorry

Spin - 9 yrs and you are still have frequent sex( dont tell my dh)

Annie you unstick it when you take the nappy off, roll the nappy up and stick the tag back round. It holds the nappy closed.

Ds is being like a dekyl and hyde at the moment. One minute he plays nicely with DD copying absolutley everything she does, she has a drink he has one, she sings, he sings etc very swet to watch them both chasing about and giggling but then it has its downside when were out as then tend to bounce off each other and get louder and more boisterous than they wouldve on their own. Not a good thing when your in a shop.
Then the next minute hes losing his temper about something and throws anything while watching for a reaction and sets off to find DD so he can pull her hair. He sure has a temper on him.

Oh by the way, DD went to bed at 10pm friday night after eating 2 slices of toast and watching endless cartoons, was also feeling ill last night but in no uncertain terms told to get back to bed. feeling ill my arse

ceebee74 · 29/01/2008 07:40

Morning all

Pixel - Josh doesn't attempt Upsy Daisy or Tombliboos either although he does blow kisses every time he sees Upsy Daisy . Macca Pacca is baba here - who knows why. Yesterday, I opened the Argos catalogue at the ITNG page and he sat there for at least 30 minutes staring and 'talking' to it - who needs toys eh?

Mae - it is VERY trippy at first although alarmingly it becomes quite normal after a couple of times - mark my words, Dom will become addicted

Kbaby - I am sure the moments when they are playing together are well worth the bad moments - it must melt your heart watching it!

Spin - belated Happy Anniversary

Josh has still got BAD nappy rash - had it for about a week now. He screams and screams everytime I change his nappy - poor lamb. Have bought some Drapolene which another MN recommended so fingers crossed.

Have a good day x

Beadmum · 29/01/2008 08:33

morning everyone, ive been really rubbish at posting lately but have kept up to date

impy - are you still working both jobs? hope it all settles down soon

bloss - to hear about alice

spin - happy anniversary and hope youre settling into your new house

annie - that would make me so dh doing that too. Does he realise how upsetting it is?

ceebee - baba is what charlotte is still calling me, hope it doesnt mean i look like macca pacca she is still refusing to say mama, just grins when i keep repeating mama over and over. As soon as dh arrives home though she runs to him shouting dada hope josh's nappy rash is healed soon, poor little mite.

pixel - hope the nursery change goes well

Since xmas charlotte is a bit fifi obsessed, got a talking fifi doll, takes her to bed and cuddles her lots throughout the day and gets so excited when she is on tv. quite cute to watch. Think she also says fifi more clear than any other word too so yes slightly obsessed

Our holiday is off now as we visited a mortgage advisor last week as our fixed rate is almost up and because we're planning to move this year, he advised due to fees its not worth getting into another one. We had thought about looking to move autumn time but not any reason to hang around really so going to forfeit holiday and get on with it. We're getting a new bathroom installed in feb but this was mainly to sell anyway so have to wait until then to put flat on market. Have started looking and we're viewing our first house tonight, very excited but hate the offers over system here in scotland, you never know if the house is in your budget or not, why cant they just have asking prices.

ok i'll stop rambling, have a good day ladies xx

anybody out there???

Not like this thread, normally takes me ages to catch up

TheGoddessBlossom · 30/01/2008 19:22

well I'm sorry but Toby got a light smack on his leg this morning. Not proud of it but that KID at the moment. Woke the whole house up at 5.11, shouts and screams till he gets what he wants "JOOSJOOSJOOSJOOSAPPLEAPPLEAPPLEAPPLEDUDDLE(cuddle)DUDDLEDUDDLE" constantly. Everything is a fight, getting him to relinquish a toy to put his shoes on (a huge Wiggles guitar, no way he can hold it and get shoes and coat on) then FIGHTS me all the way to his car seat, throwing himself from side to side, trying to launch himself out of my arms, hitting me in the face over and over, shouting NONONONONO at the top of his voice. So he got a swat on the leg. Jesus he is SO NAUGHTY sometimes.

Good as gold tonight though. Sweet as anything.

HumphreysCorner · 30/01/2008 20:29

Hey Bloss-don't feel bad about today. They sure know how to push our buttons.

ImpyChica · 30/01/2008 21:58

Hey pickles

Am slightly tipsy as have just been round to a mate's house for a girly peach juice and cava session...It was with all my current/old work mates - so had a good laugh/bitch which is always fun.

My last two days of doing two jobs coming up then I start my 11 - 7pm routine from Monday. Getting my head round it a lot more now and at least I get Wed afternoon's off to be with my lickle man - so all good really.

Sorry about your cat Bloss. Hope Tobes has calmed down now! Don't beat yourself up about the slap - we've all been there. He won't be emotionally scarred for life!

Shame about the house Twinkle - but then the flood thing may have been a downside! I'm sure you'll get another, better place soon...

Sorry DH is being so manipulative with the kids, Annie - that's shit. It's so easily done but no excuse. Hope things are better now....

Thanks for sympathies Pixel. Hope the nursery swap is going ok. We're sticking with Ryan's current nursery in the end after I cried down the phone to the manager and she agreed to let me drop him off at 10am rather than 9.30! Much easier than schlepping across town for three-quarters of an hour to a more flexible nursery... BTW did you know that "ca ca" means poo in Spanish? - maybe Emma's trying to tell you something not related to ITNG?! (and BTW Ryan isn't even attempting any of their names but does blow kisses at Upsy Daisy a la Josh!) And talking of Josh, hope his bum's better, CB!

Good luck with the house hunting Bead!

Loved the bird pix Spin - like the idea of them paddling in the sea with little arm-bands....!

Hi everyone else. Better head to Bedfordshire......

Hugs Impy xxx

AnnieOleTing · 31/01/2008 11:51

Hi Girls.

I have ITNG on right now, as I'm rubbish at playing... K is blowing kisses a la Upsy Daisy and Josh, she calls her Uppy Uppy, but if you say 'Is that Uppy Uppy?', NO! You have to say Upsy Daisy.
Macca pacca is Cacca (or Poo, depending on whether she's speaking English or Spanish!! ), and Iggle Piggle is Giggle, and the Tombliboos are Boo boos.
They both LOL at the tittifers. Quite right too with a name like that.

All fine on the DH front today, so far! Yesterday I suggested a night away when his parents come to visit in March, but he reckons K is still not ready to be left at night. She was awake half the night scratching again, but otherwise slept FINE!

Impy, good luck with the new job again. I'm sure you'll both settle in grand. Glad you enjoyed your evening!

Bloss, don't feel bad. They do drive you barmy, and you know you instantly regret it, but hey, sometimes, it takes a meltdown to sort things. Says she who knows... not.
Know exactly what you mean when everything is a struggle and a fight. That's when I sometimes give up and put on the telly. Sod it.

Spin, those birds are fantastic! Like something from a faraway country. Oh hang on... they are! Beautiful. Well done to Chi on his first day, bless him.

Beadmum, shame about the holiday, but Happy House Hunting!

Thanks for the info on the Easy Up pants. Seems obvious now, doh.

HI Pixel, HC, Mae, and everyone else

Lunch!

usandnosleep · 31/01/2008 13:12

Hey all :-)

Lurking stranger here

Haven't been on for months but came on to check you all out last week, it was soooooo nice to see so many of you still here.
Have loved reading all about your LO's, it's amazing how quickly they are changing and learning.

Zack is very cheeky and extremely bossy, no idea where he gets THAT from.......... He's quite a sensitive lad though and likes his routine, he does a good job of making me toe the line.
We moved house for the 2nd time in 2 years, I thought moving whilst pregnant was tough but it was nothing compared to moving with a 15 month old! We're all settled in now though and love the house, the layout works perfectly and means I can keep an eye on the Zackster at all times. Does make it tricky to stuff choc without him seeing though

We still see the paed and are now waiting for an appointment for a few tests, I'm hoping and praying they all come back clear and everyone just accepts that he is destined to be ickle.

Fave TV shows here include ITNG, Mr Tumble, Pingu and Something Special, i don't know what I'd do without them to be honest!
Have to go my sis is here with lunch xx

PixelHerder · 31/01/2008 16:35

OMG Usandnosleep!!!! Fab to hear from you, often wonder how you and Zack are (it?s me, F@F by the way). Congrats on moving house, glad it?s working well for you. Hope the tests go okay, sounds as if he?s healthy and happy though!

Emma?s still going to the dietician for the dairy allergy but has been signed off from the paed now, she?s still lowish on the weight charts I think (must get her weighed sometime ) but she did put on weight when I stopped bf and she started on a lot more solids.

Annie ? good news about DH, would be nice if you can get some time together even if it?s just going out for dinner (away from the IL?s it does sound a bit as if his remarks may be related to sulking about HIM losing out on attention rather than anything to do with the children (get me, the amateur psychologist?) Like the hair btw, sorry forgot to say that last time!

Spin ? I really thought you were taking the birds swimming when I read your first post ? I was thinking ?well I know they can be tame but that?s amazing that they?ll go with you all the way to the beach? The (kids?) swimming sounds fab, bet they?re loving their new lifestyle.

Beadmum ? good luck with the house selling and hunting! The Scottish system is weird isn?t it ? strange as Scottish laws are often more sensible than the English ones . We?ll be moving ourselves soon I think, just trying to weigh up the old estate agent thing at the moment ? to use one or not, or go with a cheapy internet agent as we?ll doubtless end up doing all the viewings ourselves anyway?

Twinkle ? sounds like you?re well out of that house sale anyway, I?m sure you?ll find somewhere much better, good luck with the hunt.

Bloss ? don?t beat yourself up, I think a light tap on the leg in those circumstances sounds pretty restrained actually? I?m just dreading Emma having more strength to carry out her will (which is becoming stronger by the day), she?s got a hell of a glare (and a screech) on her already.

Impy ? glad the job situation?s improving and fab that you have sorted the nursery out, well done!

Ceebee ? hope poor Josh?s wee bum?s better!

Emma?s last day at ?old nursery? today, they are having a little party for her, sniff. The new one seems to be going okay though, she?s had a couple of settling in sessions and they have said she?s doing very well. I?m going to be much fitter (about time I suppose, can?t really use post-pregnancy as an excuse any more?) as I have to drop her off and pick her up on foot, and it?s a brisk 15 minute walk away, and I?ll no doubt be running late all the time so have to hurry, bloody hell ?

Anyway better get on - hi to HC, Mae and everybody xxx

PixelHerder · 31/01/2008 16:35

oh dear, that definitely wasn't a mini-post, was it

ceebee74 · 31/01/2008 19:54

Evening everyone

Beadmum ? how did the house viewing go? Looking on the bright side, a holiday lasts 2 weeks but a house last forever

Spin ? what gorgeous birds ? lucky you living in a country where they are not just kept in a zoo!

Impy ? good luck with the job on Monday, just think of the lazy mornings you can now have with an 11 o?clock start.

Usandnosleep ? welcome back! Good to hear from you . Zack sounds adorable and good luck with the tests. Josh also likes Something Special / Mr Tumble ? it is the only programme where he will actually sit down and watch it instead of wandering around causing mayhem

Pixel ? how very sweet of the nursery to have a party for her ? she must have really made an impression there.

Josh?s bum is better (still not healed properly) but here is a question for you. How come on Sat, Sun, Mon and Tues when he was at home with me all day he had at least 4 poos in a day ? but this week whilst at nursery he has had 1 Methinks he is saving it all up specially for me to change his dirty bum .

I have got my fingers crossed that it is going to snow hard overnight and then I can?t get to work which would be a shame ? send your ?snowy? vibes my way please

x

HumphreysCorner · 31/01/2008 20:06

Evening all

God I am struggling to come off these AD's. Got a feeling of deja vu in the fact that I feel like last year is repeating itself. Doesn't help that we have too many bills to pay and not enough to cover them. DH seems to think it is my fault.

Am reading the thread but just don't feel up to responding much-sorry.

Anyway, going to have another early night as I feel exhausted all the time. Need a holiday.

Hi Pixel Often thought about you too and all the July families. Really glad Emma is doing well and no longer has to see the paed. I only get Zack weighed when I have to, he weighs 21lbs exactly.
Emma sounds as independent as Zack, I often fear the future- teens I hope she enjoyed her party today, what a lovely thing for them to do for her!

Hi Ceebee, thanks for the welcome! Maybe Josh is too shy in front of his nursery carers I know what you mean about the TV, I try very hard not to use it too often but sometimes it is a godsend! Zack signs along with Justin/Mr Tumble it's so cute!
Can't remember whereabouts you are in the country but sending lots of snowy vibes your way................

Hi HC ((((hugs))) I think everybody is feeling the pinch, it's the time of year but it's just what you don't need at the moment. Keep going you'll get there xx

kbaby · 31/01/2008 22:39

Spin. There was a programe on this morning about a couple emigrating to australia and showing how the settled etc. It just looked so fabulous, the place looked amazing and the house. It just looks like a different world compared to rainy, cold, britain.

Bloss- Agree with the others. Theyre just getting to the 'trying age' im glad to go to work somedays!

James has managed to say a new word two days running now 'put it on' technically I could call that 3 words which would take his word count to about 10 and most of them all begin with B ie boo, balloon. He sings though which is sweet, doesnt say any words that make sense but hums along with DD and he goes into DD 's bedroom and turns on her cd player and stands in her bedroom singing and dances (which looks a bit like hes boxing as his arms are tucked up over his pot belly)

Ceebee- Ds aways manages to save his poos for about 5 mins after ive just put a clean nappy on. Also has impecable timing in regards to weeing just as his nappies come off at bath time

hc- big hugs, hope you feel brighter soon

hello usandnosleep

TheGoddessBlossom · 01/02/2008 13:48

both my boys adore Something special, Mr Tumble and Higgledy House. I Sky + all of them, They are their absolute faves.

PixelHerder · 01/02/2008 15:43

Well toddlerdom has certainly arrived in our house... she has been HIDEOUS today. In so many ways! She's got very attached to her cuddly bedtime rabbit - lovely, except that she won't relinquish it at nappy changing time, and then tries to wipe her arse with it. And her poo is really gross at the mo. All the more irritating as you know that removing it to be washed will cause WW3. Really clingy, wraps herself around my legs at every opportunity, cries to be picked up, doesn't want to be held, cries when you put her down. Very clumsy, so constantly falling over and bumping into things (more tears). Flinging things across the room (more tears). Obviously overtired, but won't sleep (more tears). She's glued to Tweenies at the mo, thank christ. Rant over, sorry!

She's also quite amusing I suppose... is finally into climbing in a big way and is currently tap dancing (I kid you not) on the seat of her (quite large) rocking chair, going 'Down, Down' as that's what I'm constantly saying to her. Oh, now she's standing up on the arm of the chair clutching onto the bars of her playpen... my nerves are shot.

Any snow yet, Ceebee?

Hugs HC, hope things even out soon. Just keep saying Spring's on the way!

Kbaby - James sounds sweet, love the image of him with his little pot belly

Haven't seen Something Special or Mr Tumble yet, but I've recorded them so we'll check them out. So far she hasn't been really grabbed by anything except INTG.

Have serene afternoons all
xxx

PixelHerder · 01/02/2008 15:48

Now she's standing on the rocking chair doing all the movements to Boogie Beebies...

HumphreysCorner · 01/02/2008 19:43

Pixel-lol, Sophie tries to do the same with her pink bunny.

Love to all.

Hi everyone

Heaps of snow here - about a foot deep, maybe more. Leo loves the "Noooo" and plays happily in it for ages.

TV progs - loves Little Red Tractor.

aGalChangedHerName · 02/02/2008 09:14

Hi all

Not posted for a while again. The longer i leave it the harder it is to post, soooo much to catch up on.

Sorry you are not feeling great HC,havent been on AD's myself but my mum has lots of experience and i see how it affects her

Spin glad you have settled back home Roshi sounds like Eilidh with the hair pulling grrrr!!!

Bloss how's the job going? Don't know how you manage it with all the dropping off at nursery etc!!

Haven't time to read all the posts but hi to everyone else and hope you are all doing ok??

Eilidh is a little madame at times but sooo loving and generous at other times. Don't know how Niamh hasn't slapped her yet cos she can pull hair and scratch and snatch toys like nobodys business.

Have started taking dd1 to belly dancing with me and god she can really shake her booty lol. She's better than me.

Ds1 and his gf are still going strong. Her mum and dad finally woke up and smelt the coffee and she had the contraceptive implant put in 3 weeks ago. Tis a relief for me i can tell you. She goes on her Mcguire project in a couple of weeks for her stammer so positive vibes please all you lovely July ladies?

Ds2 is flying through high school and just coming up to teen angst, can't believe i have to do it all again x3. I will be sitting in a corner rocking one of these days.

Oh and got myself a cleaner. Did a spring clean for £80 (6.5 hrs) then it'll be weekly for £30 (3 hours) That includes oven fridge and 3 bathrooms, floors swept and mopped plus the usual dusting etc. Do you think that sounds ok? I start work at 7am and last mindee goes home at 6.45/7pm so just really struggle to get anything done

Had a big fight with my parents on New Years Day so not been feeling like posting up to now. Can't believe how some paents have favourites and are in such denial about it. But have realised i can't change them but i can change how i behave and react to them. So far it's working and i am starting to feel ok again (ish) lol.

Anyhow better have my shower, gonna take girls out for a walk in the snow!!!

Have a good weekend xx
