Hi all

Have just had 2 marvellously 'high' days so waiting to come down with a bump. Am now taking my 5mg AD every other night so another month and I should be AD free but probably crawling along the ground for a while.

Annie-well done Kayley with her poo poo. Christmas Dinner at mum and dad's was fab and as for my brother's yummy new puppy Harvey. I could have just eaten him all up!

Lysstte-sorry you felt so bad over the weekend especially now that you are Inlaw free.

Maewest-poor DS, hope he gets over his cold very soon.

spin-hope you are managing and getting lots of help.

Bloss-you fully recovered yet?

Had better finish my BH and read my TTC thread. Love to all.

Decorating tomorrow so busy, busy, busy.

just popping in to say hi to everyone, will try and cstch up and post later

ceebee74 · 22/01/2008 14:25

Hi everyone ? Josh is asleep so trying to catch up (it is harder work now there is a TTC thread to catch up on too )

Twinkle ? hope you are all on the mend now ? must be that ?bracing? Scottish weather

Spin ? hope the move went well (and the rest of the weekend) ? I bet it feels great now that you have got your own space again.

Kbaby ? 2 holidays ? you lucky thing. I am just trying to weigh up whether we can afford a holiday abroad this year (so Beadmum, if you find any nice child-friendly places, let me know) but I guess it will depend on if and when I get pg.

Bloss ? hope you are feeling better now aswell ? illness always strikes at the wrong time doesn?t it? (not that there is ever a ?right? time!)

Annie - Kayley sounds adorable and I love the image of her sitting on the potty with a book. Sounds like a great tip for Josh as he loves his books so much (but I guess I need to buy a potty first ). It would be funny if Kayley is potty trained before Joey but I am sure he will get the message soon once he sees how much chocolate ie-cream Kayley is eating .

Impy ? gorgeous photos as usual

Not much to report here. DH is away a lot at the moment so I have no idea how I am meant to conceive but not much I can do about that. Currently on CD10 of TTC cycle #4 and it looks like my ovulation will be the end of next week ? and of course DH is away from Wednesday morning until Friday evening ? grrrrrr!

Right ? better go and wake Josh up as Thomas is on the telly at 2.30 and I usually let him watch it whilst he wakes up ? he takes FOREVER to come round after his afternoon nap!!

Morning Girls!

Tip of the Day!!! They didn't mention it was DH's idea though, I did tell them. Oh well.

HC Hope you are ok too. How's the decorating going? Hope you are still feeling happy.

CB it certainly looks like K will be trained before Joey at this rate. He still furiously denies he's pooing, even when he's hiding in a corner, straining away! She's doing ok though, she always says when she's going to do one, it just depends on how quick I am whether she gets on the potty or not!
Wee, on the other hand, is just everywhere...
My poor friend, coming over from Ireland tonight with her DD, has to sleep on the floor...
CB, best of luck with the TTC!!! It sounds like it may be a bit tricky this week, but perhaps as soon as DH gets back, and then all the fast swimmers will get to the egg just as it's on it's way down and that'll make you another little boy!! Isn't that how it works..? Or do it before he goes, and all the slower ones will make you a little girl...

Mae, how's Dom sleeping now? Hope the snot has cleared.

Lysette, hope you're feeling better too, after your jabs. How long now before little Sam arrives???

Right I better go and check for puddles...

hi,
ds is full up with a cold bless him and wakes up leaving a slugs trail behind in his cot.
Hes just woken from nap time and i brought him downstairs where he has just fallen back to sleep leaning against me. it means im typing one handed with the other arm wrapped around my neck because i cant put it back down.
today we went to feed the ducks(read got chased by all the bloody geese and both dc cried)and ds walked all the way there and back and kept stopping to wave to all the bus drivers, he looked really sweet and they all waved back to him.

hope your feeling better goddess

MaeWest · 24/01/2008 19:25

Get you with your tip of the day Annie Dom is so-so with the sleeping, we had a couple of nights dosed up with Medised where he went thro till 5ish. Last night (with Medised) was not so great - he woke up at 2.30, settled quickly with a pat/shush then again at 4 when I had to sit in his room for 40 mins while he went back to sleep. Then I'd just got back to sleep when he woke for the day at 5.40 . Was working today but had nothing urgent this afternoon so grabbed a quick nap to recharge. Feel almost human now . How is K doing on the sleep front? How's she going with milk at night?

Hi to the rest of you - hope its going ok with your AD weaning HC

TheGoddessBlossom · 25/01/2008 11:53

hi all. Got 2 mins before I have to go and wake up TOby so I can collect H at 12. Such a apin that I have to cut short his nap ut can't be helped. My friend did actually leave her daughter asleep in bed at home alone once, to collect her boy. I was so shocked I didn't know what to say. Understand the temptation though.

Had to work yesterday, swapped Tuesday and Thursday round as had a "boot camp" in London. Me the only girl with 35 men, who all seemed to be Scottish, couldn't understand a bloody word they said! Had good fun actually, quite a laugh being the token female. Long day though, and was worried about Toby has he fell head first down the stairs yesterday morning, with the most spectacular back flip, and then nursery said he slept twice as long as usual during the day! Was worried about concussion but seems fine today, despite the big cut and bruise.

H and T's fave game at the moment is to pretend to be Power Rangers with tea towels down their backs as cloaks. Quite amusing as neither of them have ever seen it as I think it's too violent, but H picks up the lingo from nursery.

Feeling much better, just a lingering cough now, thanks for all good wishes.

Right going to be late now, typical.

Bloss

HumphreysCorner · 25/01/2008 20:08

Bloss-pleased you are feeling much better. Don't know how you manage to juggle your job and boys. You are doing a fab job of it.

spin-hope you are well settled now. Let us know how it is going.

kbaby-how is DS today? Keep thinking Sophie is coming down with a cold because of her constant whinging and sneezing but nothing so far thank goodness.

Maewest-can't believe how alive I feel. Last week I felt awful for a few days but am doing OK at the mo thanks.

Am still arguing with DH about me decorating the lounge. Could be a d-i-v-o-r-c-e over this but have told him I am not going away in the caravan until it is decorated-cannot live with the bugundy stripes a moment longer! Our caravan is ready for collection so we are getting it on the 23rd February. PIL are collecting their campervan in February and can't wait to go away with us. Um-nice.

Am going ice skating tomorrow with Emma, Sophie, SIL and mum and dad. Should be fun as I can't skate.

Well, must go-have a lovely weekend all.

kbaby · 25/01/2008 20:59

HC- Good luck with the skating
Ds seems fine in himself and you wouldnt think he had a cold apart from the constant nose running.

DH is at the gym and I currently have DD on the settee as she says she cant sleep because she's so hot but then gets confused and says shes cold oh and she feels bad because people have been giving her lots of drinks!! Ive taken her temp which was 36 and shes been fine up until bedtime so I cant quite work out if she is swinging the lead or not, I guess ill soon find out. Dont feel too well myself but it may be hunger.

AnnieOleTing · 25/01/2008 21:23

Hi ladies.

big hugs to all, HC, Bloss, Kbaby, Mae

Am v pissed off at DH agian, but will tell all on Monday. Lotsa love

Hello all. Yes we're all recovered thank you. Been having a few nightmares with trying to buy a house. We found an uninhabitable wreck a while back, needing total renovation at a bargain price. So we had a survey done and put in an offer, fully expecting to be outbid. Well we got it - hoorah! Expect the b*stard estate agents then proceeded to pass on to the sellers (a repossession company) a higher offer from someone we outbid. They then forced us to another closing date and we lost it. (It wasn't you was it Wallace ).

The funny thing is though that today there have been flood warnings in the village, and the water's getting very very close to that house. Are we hoping it gets flooded out - not half!

HC - good luck with coming off the ABs.

How are you getting on Lysette?

Sorry you're upset with your DH Annie {hugs}

Hello to everyone else. xx

Alice our cat died today. Had her ten years, very sad. Hadn't seen her for a couple of days which is very unusual and then DH found her with her head stuck in the fence, she'd obviously got stuck and struggled for awhile. What a horrid way to go. DH very upset, as they adored each other.

Took the boys to Bognor Regis today, I would post pix but Photobox isn't cooperating. It was a beautiful sunny day, and we bought the boys buckets and spades, it would have been almost perfect if Toby hadn't been such a pain in the arse, whinging all the way down there, screaming blue bloody murder every time he had to go in the buggy, hitting, shouting "No!" at every request and generally behaving atrociously. He is soooooo head strong, and such a little monkey. He was fine when we got home after a sleep so I guess he was just tired.

Am finding that he soaks through his clohes and gro bag pretty much every night these days. Am going to try and limit juice, and switch to baby dry nappies instead of active fit, do you think they will make that much difference?

Had a good day at Bird World yesterday too, have bought a season pass as it's just up the road and there is loads to do there.

Right, off to swill wine, and watch Antique's Roadshow.

Love to all.

Bloss

PS Happy Anniversay Spin, sounds like you are going to be christening every room in your new gaff! Saucy devils.

Twinkle how annoying re the house, and yes, fnar if it floods, maybe it was a good thing you didn't get it. I truly beleive that things happen for a reason in the whole house buying thing, but do not intend to go through the trauma of moving any time soon.

ceebee74 · 27/01/2008 19:24

Bloss - v about Alice - sympathies to you all.

Just posting to get this back on my 'threads I'm on' - will post more later

Morning girls,

Bloss for poor little Alice.
We use Easy-Up pants in the day, and Baby Dry at night. Saying that, last night, they both leaked! But they don't usually. And K glugs two bottles of wine milk a night.
Does anyone know what the plasticy strip thing on the back of Easy-Up pants is for??
Methinks it loosens the nappy for faster get-it-down, as I was messing with it yesterday and it fell around her legs, but I don't see how it works...

HC, how's things? In the cold light of a Monday morning, things are ok again with DH. It's just his comments tend to pee me off, like, Mammy can't make your dinner, she's busy texting... just silly things. Anyway.

Lots of wine over the weekend and a couple of emotional outburts when K was screaming for hours, but my bezzie mate was here and she helped me.

Spin you saucy minx you. No splinters I hope!! Happy Anniversary.

Twinkle at being gazumped, and if they get flooded.

Mae, how's Dom sleeping? We had a couple of good nights, and then a couple of horrendous nights.

Must go, meeting...

Love to all

x

TheGoddessBlossom · 28/01/2008 14:00

annie I think it is for rolling the thing up once it is off to then dispose of it, the same as you can tape a folded dirty nappy shut with the plastic sides....although would not be surprised if this is completely wrong....

MaeWest · 28/01/2008 15:43

Sorry about Alice Bloss

Annie - last night he went all the way through until 4am, but then didn't settle properly until 5ish (when I fed him). He then was whinging at 6, so DH put him into bed with me - whereupon he promptly sat on my head and demanded more milk. Managed to cuddle him off to sleep and we both dozed off until around 8. Then he woke up, bit me on the nose and... you guessed it... more milk! So much for 2 bf a day . He seems to ahve a raging hunger at the moment tho.

Can't be too bad tho as DH & I have been getting plenty of early nights , always puts me in a better mood .

Oh, and I hate that 'bitching through children' thing, we both do it occasionally and it really isn't on.

TheGoddessBlossom · 28/01/2008 20:41

yeah agree Maewest it's the pits - we had that here after Panto-Gate weekend - "I don't know if we can go out on your bike this afternoon Harry, you'd better get Mummy to check it's ok with Grandpa"

PixelHerder · 28/01/2008 21:24

Hi folks
Sorry long time no post, how rubbish am I after my mini post resolution...

So sorry to hear about Alice Bloss, how distressing for you all

Happy New House Spin, hope things are a bit less hectic now!

Been away for a few days to the IL's, lovely sunny weekend on IOW but back to the gloomy old Monday weather - roll on spring.

Emma's fine, charming and chatty most of the time, with the odd tantrum thrown in . She's in the process of changing nursery to a more local one which is a bit odd, but will hopefully work out for the best. Sad to leave her old one behind as she's been there for over a year now and you don't know how much they really get attached. She never seems particularly thrilled to be dropped off, but some of the children in her 'class' have been there with her for months so she must be very familiar with them.

Sympathies Impy btw on the job hours, it's very hard isn't it - I'm sure things will settle down in a new routine though, how's it going?

Sympathies too to the broken-sleepers (Annie, Mae, Kbaby (and anyone else I've forgotten)). We have the odd bout of wakefulness which reminds me of just how horrendous it is, but i'm very thankful that on the whole she isn't too bad - at the mo that is, of course it may change...

Ceebee - about a hundred years ago you mentioned Iggle Piggle and the difficulties of pronouncing... here he is 'Gog-geh' and seems likely to remain so for a long while! Maccapacca is Ca Ca (reasonably sensible I suppose), but she won't even attempt Upsy Daisy or the Tombliboos. We are a household obsessed.

Anyway will get on now as I'm rambling (slightly drunkenly, oops), hi to everybody and big hugs xxx
