Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 12/12/2007 20:41

oops

MN is on a bit of a go-slow tonight....and I'm supposed to be chatting to my students....

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 12/12/2007 20:43

LOL Jammy

btw, we've used more calpol in this house in the last 2 days than I have in the past 6 months and I'm CONVERTED! Its bloody brilliant stuff and I still only give her the half dose!

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 12/12/2007 20:45

spirited is one word for it Norty.....but I prefer three at the moment......gobby little sh1te

I do love him though, and the way his kooky little mind works at times. I only have myself to blame though, as I always encouraged him to speak his mind when younger/never spoke down to him etc....so let that be a salutory lesson to all you 1st timers out there, HA!

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 12/12/2007 20:48

I'm with you on that one Norty. I know it's not always popular on here but I swear by Calpol, Medised and Nurofen (although not simultaneously obviously!).

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 12/12/2007 20:49

Daisy, that sounds scarily like my little Madam, who is 2.3 going on 23.....

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 12/12/2007 20:54

well it certainly knocked out my DD. She woke at 7am, cleared her nose of snot, fed her, administered calpol....sleep from 8.15am - 10am then from 10.30am - 1pm when I woke her for lunch. Then sleep from 3pm - 4.15pm when I woke her again and she then fell asleep on the bottle at 6.40pm and not heard a peep since....poor little love must feel horrible

Its only now I have my own DC that I realise that I was a child like your DS Daisy....must have sent them potty ....but as you say...not such a bad thing just a bit fustrating sometimes

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 12/12/2007 20:55

Hope your DD is feeling better tomorrow norty.

I'm off to bed though. Presents are still unwrapped, but hey-ho!

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 12/12/2007 20:57

Night Jammy

I haven't wrapped any presents yet either!

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 12/12/2007 21:03

I'm going to have an early night as well. Night all.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 12/12/2007 21:07

lol norty, I was a right little horror apparently, so when I've been telling mum about how frustrating he is, she just smiles serenely and says "I'm saying nothing"

I suppose what goes around comes around....he'll have grown out of it by the time he's 33

On a positive note though....my psychiatrist who has been treating me for PND has discharged me to the care of my GP ....I still need to take the ADs for a few more months though!

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 12/12/2007 21:10

That's excellent news Daisy.....I would stay on them a little while....things are not easy at the moment....and not going to get easier for a while by the sounds....

When are you going to your cottage?

Now I've started back to work, I may think about dropping my ADs a bit...scary tho!

annobalthebignosereindeer · 12/12/2007 21:27

LOL Daisy - he'll probably still be living with you too . Great news about the ads!

Hi Norty& Fairy, how're things...

Off to catch up...

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 12/12/2007 21:31

I trying to decide whether this is a load of bollocks or not....OMG its revolting!

Right, off to bed...night all x

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 12/12/2007 21:34

sorry - Hi Annobal - and Bye

We need a new thread....any ideas Daisy? I am the most unimaginative person there is, so no good asking me! It was just say "June 07 thread here"

Night (again)

Sputnik · 12/12/2007 21:36

lOL at you not being the boss of santa daisy. we have made it clear to DD that the elves will check with us if she's been a good girl before any presents are forthcoming

annobalthebignosereindeer · 12/12/2007 21:45

Hi Sputnik.

We've made it very clear to DCs that if they are not good, Santa won't deliver their stockings to our friend's house (and they have a chimney, which is very important to DS1 )

annobalthebignosereindeer · 12/12/2007 21:48

Norty, your poor LO - they do need to sleep to get better - DS1 slept for 6 hours during the day on Sunday and then went to bed at 5 . Actually, it was lovely and peaceful.

Sputnik · 12/12/2007 21:59

we didn't have a chimney wwhen I was little. Santa came through the heating vents apparently. even then I was a little about that theory.

that thread is hillarious. funny, as just yesterday I was thinking about Maria Callas and her threadworm (pondering extremee diet strategies)

Sputnik · 12/12/2007 22:01

Her tapeworm I mean

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 12/12/2007 22:05

sputnik, have you never seen The Santa Clause (on my fave movie list, and yey I get to watch it again!!).....he brings his own chimney with him

I've been reading yet another us and them debate wtih regulars vs huns.

You know you've been on MN too long when the same old argument comes around for the twentieth time.

I stayed away from the worm thread as I'm feeling a little bit queasy this evening, and it might have been too much!

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 12/12/2007 22:07

A Bit Lame????

Sputnik · 12/12/2007 22:36

Oh no you hve to read the worm thread, it's a classic. and much better than the hun bashing. Right I'm off, xxxxxxxxxxxxx lol
