evening ladies.

See that today wasn't too bad?

Jammy you can get Ella's kitchen stuff at Tesco's. I ran out to today to buy some as I was at the end of my tether trying to sort out DS's meals, our meals and DD's puree's. I just need some "some back up food" if you know what I mean. She had the peas, broccoli and apple and loved it. Yeah she had her greens.

Mother are you feeling better?

Fairy I will join you (and anyone else?) for that g&t.

Hi to Fury, Bumper, Holly, Annobel, JBM, Daisy and anyone else about.

DS is on my lap loving the Santa smileys and repeating the word "Santa". You wouldn't have guessed that he was scared of him yesterday at a Xmas party, and last week and the weekend before.

Elsbells · 10/12/2007 20:25

well night all
seems quiet and my oven pinger has gone off
must eat
x

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 10/12/2007 20:51

I'm back after cooking and eating. Sorry I seem to have missed you Elsbells

BadZelda · 10/12/2007 20:53

Hello there - both DCs (almost) asleep, so time for a little mumsnet. Had a quick catchup; glad you had a good trip jammy; sorry to hear about conjunctivitus and virus Fury - sticky red eyes and all? Warm camomile teabag compresses are quite soothing - might be worth giving a go?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 10/12/2007 20:56

Evening BZ

BadZelda · 10/12/2007 21:01

And hi, Ellsbells - wasn't ignoring you, just brain slowly catching up. (DD1 just out of bed again, the minx)

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 10/12/2007 21:14

Well, I'm off to bed to read for a bit and hope that LO has a restful night after waking at 12, 2, 5.20 and 6am last night [yawn]

Sputnik · 10/12/2007 21:29

Hi Jammy. Bye Jammy
Will be off again soon myself as I can feel DD's cold coming on so want an early night.

BadZelda · 10/12/2007 22:01

How's it going Sputnik? Should I be worried that I have just made DD1 a little necklace out of the beads I bought her today?

TALLUBAHHUMBUGBELL · 11/12/2007 06:35

Just popped in to say hi. Not a hope in hell of catching up but JBM did give me a quick update. Obviously no one around to chat with so might try to check in later. Is 5pm here - oh and around 26 degrees.

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 11/12/2007 08:36

morning, not caught up yet but just wanted to say still on for tomorrow jammy and fury. what time is good for you both? how is 11ish? I may have to get the train if my car is not fixed

HellHathNoFury · 11/12/2007 08:54

11 is fine for me.

Bumper I can pick you up from Reading/Swindon train station if you have a car seat? Let me know if you need it, more than happy to!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 11/12/2007 09:03

Hi. I will be getting the train to Swindon, so could meet Bumper there and walk up together? Will need to check train times, but DD wants brekky first

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 11/12/2007 09:07

Hi T, good to hear from you! Actually we were all around we were just ignoring you because of the 26 degrees comment Glad you are ok, hope you are having a lovely time!

Fury thanks for the offer (I know we just spoke but thought I should acknowledge you post or everyone will think I am v rude!)

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 11/12/2007 09:09

Morning all - I'm at home instead of work today....looking after my poorly DD who still has diarrohea big time and now a cold as well....calpol is a wonder medicine though.....

Well I was back at work exactly 3 days before she got ill....I'm paying the nursery £38 today for her to be with me.....poor thing has such a sore bottom.....

Have just caught up and forgotten most of what I've read....so apologies now

Jammy - Ellas kitchen stuff is great as an "out and about" standby....DD loves it (although it is very sloppy)....I often mix some in with my ice-cubes.....can get it in Sainsburys as well as Tescos

Glad all your weekends away were good (although about the car Bumper....these things always happen about Xmas don't they)...

Haven't wrapped a single Xmas present yet, so I really should make the most of my time off work and get going shouldn't I?.......or shall I veg out with DD and have lots of (snotty) cuddles ????

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 11/12/2007 09:13

Apparently norty, people say you should save a few days of AL as babies always get ill when the first go to nursery!

Hope she feels better soon x

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 11/12/2007 09:14

Enjoy cuddles, Norty. Presents can be wrapped after bedtime

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 11/12/2007 09:18

And it looks like 11 would be a good time for me too, for tomorrow. There's a train I can get that arrives in Swindon at 10.30, so can comfortably be in Starbucks for 11.

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 11/12/2007 09:24

Brill, jammy, see you tomorrow!

Norty, have a duvet day both of you. Lots of cuddles in the warm and trashy tv!

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 11/12/2007 09:24

£38......THUD!!

Hope dd is better soon!

Great to hear from you T. Hope Oz is ok, sounds a bit hot for me! Hope you are eating lots of Tim-Tams! xxx

Hope everyone else is well!

HellHathNoFury · 11/12/2007 10:01

£38 is good Norty! Wish I lived where you did, mine is £52 per day :-(

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 11/12/2007 10:05

I know its not a bad price but if she doesn't go in all week, we pay £114 and I take A/L....DH doesn't have any leave left, so if he takes a day off, it's unpaid.....however, I'd much rather be here with her......its horrible when they're ill....

Day out shopping sounds good.....haven't been out of the house since last Friday ....well other than to doctors late Sat night....

right off for brekkie before DD wakes up.....

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 11/12/2007 10:07

£52 THUD THUD THUD!

No wonder I don't work, that would be about 80% of my wage with just one child!

Hope you are well fury xxx

HellHathNoFury · 11/12/2007 10:58

Norty I know what you mean
I just paid £650 to the Childminder in lost fees - I was looking after DS but I still had to pay her full price even though I lost my job

It sucks!
