HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 05/12/2007 20:52

Although ~I do object when my make-up is on and I'm about to go to work......baby dribble running down my face

justbeme · 05/12/2007 20:53

!
Im so glad its going well - whose next to go back to work?

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 05/12/2007 20:58

That rhyme is DD to a tee! I was a real stress-head when I was working but I find that I am actually far more chilled-out about the DCs than I thought I'd be (tonight being an exception!)

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 05/12/2007 21:00

My DD even has the curly hair. I think I might get that rhyme written out and put it on DDs wall

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 05/12/2007 21:02

On a different note for a minute... We're thinking of taking the DCs to ClubMed sometime in spring of next year. Has anyone ever been? Are they worth the money? and what are the kids clubs like?

justbeme · 05/12/2007 21:05

Ive not been Fairy - Im off now to watch "the secret Millionaire" - brings a tear to my eye every week!

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 05/12/2007 21:09

I'm going to watch that too. If anyone comes along who has been, I'd be reallly grateful for any info, good or bad. Night all

Sputnik · 05/12/2007 21:11

Really glad work is going well for you LMN and nursery for DD. My DD's nursery used to post a report on what they ate, how much they slept and how many poos, but it was always a bit of a mystery what else they did. She always came back smelling of the nursery workers perfume though, so I knew she was getting plenty of cuddles

Fairy, what a nightmare, best steer clear of the raspberries for a bit.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 05/12/2007 21:16

hellooo

just been watching Gok...I love that man. He makes me feel like my body isn't half as bad as I thought it was. I loved one of the dresses tonight, but £95 though!

I've got a nasty bacterial infection in my nose which is now giving me headaches....so I have some ointment to squirt up it, as I said NO to antibiotics....I'm just getting the thrush cleared up!

Glad work is going OK Norty. It is surprising how quickly you get back into it. I had a break of two years and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

fairy....my old boss used to go Club Med twice a year. They thought it was great and that the kids clubs were well organised, but I suppose it might depend on the resort.

Right...off to do some SS shopping!

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 05/12/2007 21:19

thanks for the tips on lotions and potions

Yes, she meant using baby lotion to clean rather than using baby wipes or just plain water.

I got some simple baby lotion, and I also have a huge thing of E45 lotion. I'll try those for a bit and see how things improve. She said I might have to accept that she'll be like this till she's out of nappies

Good news on the paed Foxy.....well done to you and DS2 and your norks!

BadZelda · 05/12/2007 21:23

Oh a friend of mine has just made this - and asked me to send it round.

Norty great news about work / nursery. Is v. reassuring as I'm back on Jan 7th...so sweet about the report. Am going to make DH send me videos!

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 05/12/2007 21:24

....the report includes nappies....todays 15.15 said "loose"

Daisy about infection....need to drink some probiotics and natural yogurt.....you sound a bit run down.......

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 05/12/2007 21:25

Right off to spend some time with DH...night all x

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 05/12/2007 21:48

Glad work and the nursery are going well Norty.

Will look at that link later, BZ, am totally p'd off by Xmas though at the moment, after an evening of wrapping presents for DH's family and some of my friends that we're seeing at the weekend.

What are people's parents and in-laws being called by the LOs? My parents are Granny and Grandad. My ILs though have been very evasive about what they want to be called. Tonight Dh rang them as we wanted to know what to write on the gift tags for their gifts from DD. FIL still hasn't given an answer, so has been lumbered with Grandfather, MIL wants to be called Foozle. FFS! I don't want to have to say to DD for the next 20 years or so "We're going to see Foozle" etc. I feel slightly better having googled it and found that it is a real word. It means to make or do something awkwardly. AIBU? Probably yes, she can after all ask to be called what she likes, but I'm afraid I don't like it.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 05/12/2007 22:05

Well a big bowl of ice cream is remarkably soothing. Foozle it is, I'll get used to it no doubt.

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 05/12/2007 22:09

Hi Jammy. My parents are Grandma and Grandad. Dh's Dad is Gradpa and his step-mum, whose name is Ann, wants to be Gr-Ann! I presume she wants it pronounced Gran. I think it's a bit odd but am just going with it. Foozle is certainly a bit bizarre, especially given definition 3

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 05/12/2007 22:10

Off to bed now. n'night

justbeme · 05/12/2007 22:13

Foozle? - wtf??
My parents are called Grandma and Grandad and my other halfs have been called Nanny and Grandad. When they were alive - my Mums Mum was Gran and the other was Nan.
but Foozle? - wheres that come from?

Im off now - to erect L's new Highchair that I bought off Ebay - Its a bit like a Stokee - I hope its all ok - I shall let you know what I reckon!!

Sputnik · 05/12/2007 22:21

Foozle sounds quite funny really, like something out of Dr Seuss. My mum didn't want to commit to a name, so is grandma by default, must be a family thing as I was ambivalent about being called mummy at first.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 05/12/2007 22:37

LOL jammy at foozle....maybe madoldbat would be more appropriate . We call my mum nanna (DS started this at 9mo) and MIL gran (although I call her madge(but never to her face ))

I've just been looking up some of the websites on the Christmas thread....fab fab, lovely stuff.

Have got my SS pressie sorted now though Gin....now for it to arrive!

I certainly feel run down Norty...as my dear old Dad used to say, I wish I could be rubbed out and drawn in all over again...in a svelte size 10 with a few more height inches preferably

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 05/12/2007 22:39

PMSL....that should have been ...I'm not sending gin, obviously

Sputnik · 05/12/2007 22:59

ROFL and PMSL Daisy

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 05/12/2007 23:15

I'm still chuckling about it Sputnik

I'm bloody starving. Blood test tomorrow, so no food after 10pm. I never eat this late, but because I've been tld not to eat, what do I want to do....eat. It's like craving chips as soon as I decide to diet; I never eat chips any other time!

Sleep will stave off the hunger pangs.

Night x

Sputnik · 05/12/2007 23:16

that was obviously a Freudian slip Daisy, so fantasy secret santa will be sending you one of these
