welcome back BZ all I can say is I hope tomorrow is better for all

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 04/12/2007 20:29

Well daisy, a bunch of post-natal sleep deprived women with various squarking offsping who have little in common but the simple fact of having babies the same age (and maybe shopping) I'm just surprised it hasn't happened more often

thrush in your nostrils? is it painful. poor you! have you tried going to neals yard or holland and barratts to see if there is a supplement you can take? is there something like candida or acidophilous?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 04/12/2007 20:29

Thankfully BZ, I can be thick skinned when it's required. I was a bit surprised by your respinse, but I will admit it did make me think that massive PITA that this is, there are worse things. Having said that I really really hope things improve soon. And that goes for anyone that's having problems with bairns (big or small), DHs/DPs, employers, or whatever.

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 04/12/2007 20:32

btw my bf may or may not be pg again here. think sticky thoughts!

andiemisletoe · 04/12/2007 20:33

daisy do you have a bell for your neck maybe that could be your ss pressie JOKE

BadZelda · 04/12/2007 20:34

I haven't been anywhere - I literally only just turned my laptop on since this morning. And most of the day I've been thinking 'shit - I can't believe what a horrible message I posted this morning' - but I wasn't exaggerating about the toddler - I actually took them both to the doctor this morning because I thought she might have an ear infection or something that was causing continual screaming / tantrumming. But he gave her a clean bill of health

Now looking back over the day I see I have managed to piss off loads of people and it looks like I've just been avoiding the flack. Well - my comment wasn't meant to be as bitter as it sounds; you'd think being a writer I would have better control over tone, wouldn't you?

BadZelda · 04/12/2007 20:35

Thanks Jamantha - I appreciate that.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 04/12/2007 20:36

hey BZ....I think we've all hit post message at some point and than immediately regretted it. I know I have in the past.

LOL at your summary Bumper.

I've just been googling nasal thrush but can't find anything, so not sure it exists. I've had a sore nose for ages, it has been dry (but snotty too) and itchy and sore. Today it has been unbearable, and am thinking that my body is wracked with thrush (still not clearing from by boobs or throat ). My nostrils feel like they are on fire and it all looks very red and inflamed up there. I'm concerned that the doc will think I've been hitting the coke a bit too hard

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 04/12/2007 20:38

I think I may have a bit of thrush on the corner of my mouth. I was a bit sore in the more traditional place for thrush last week and got some cream which has sorted that, but it's taking longer to clear on the mouth.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 04/12/2007 20:40

bumper, I only skimmed your post and thought YOU were pregnant again....phew!

Good Luck to Lcy!

Jammy, I remember that my darling DS, who had been sleeping all night, got a bit squiffy with his routine around this age as well. I think it's cos previously they were settling themselves to sleep, but this age brings a new awareness of the world, and waking is something exciting, with lots to explore. It will pass once she starts getting more active and wearing herself out. Doesn't help ypou at the moment though, I know. Can DH give some ebm through the night to give you a rest?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 04/12/2007 20:40

arse! i'm not that upset by it that I intended to tell you about it twice

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 04/12/2007 20:44

This any help for thrush? Have you tried probiotic yoghurts?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 04/12/2007 20:46

Thanks for that Diasy. I was also reading somthing (but can't remember where) about how when a baby is about to master some new skill their brains gets really active in the days/weeks before they crack it and this can upset their sleep patterns. So perhaps she'll be getting the Nobel prize next week??

BadZelda · 04/12/2007 20:48

And some dumb fucker ASKED me if I was expecting again last week of course I laughed it off, but thought personally, I wouldn't ask someone who was holding a YOUNG baby if they were expecting unless it was incontrovertibly obvious. Oh well.

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 04/12/2007 20:52

Jammy is it a wonder week?

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 04/12/2007 20:53

I'd read something along those lines as well jammy....when I was looking for an explanation for DSs night terrors as a toddler.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 04/12/2007 20:55

Feels like it's been a wonder month Bumper
I remember looking at that when you linked to it before (not complaining) but that's not what i was looking at last night, which I remember talked about the baby's noggin being busy, which made us smile, because we call her head her noggin-bonce.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 04/12/2007 20:58

Bumper....that is fab thanks

I do eat a lot of sugars, and I think my recent wheat binge hasn't helped conditions in my gut. Will get the echinacea and garlic.

so expect me tomorrow to be sat topless in the window washing myself down with weak vinegar solution and pasting myself in live yogurt reeking of garlic!

Fucking irresistable

and will the live yogurt work up my nose ?

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 04/12/2007 21:03

all new kitchen nightmares is on....catch y'all lateer

foxythesnowman · 04/12/2007 21:07

Crikey, I go and get a life and come back to this ... tsk tsk

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 04/12/2007 21:07

I'm off too. Hoping to make it out to the big shops of Oxford or Reading tomorrow, so need to be bright eyed and bushy tailed if possible.

Sputnik · 04/12/2007 21:11

What a lovely picture you paint Daisy .

Fingers crossed for your friend Bumper
