Evening all!

Glad we are all friends again hunnis!

BZ, I'm sure no-one took actual offence at your comments earlier. I completely know how you feel. Dd has been a nightmare the past few days. Screaming and moaning and shouting "IT'S NOT FAIR" at me all the time. She throws things at me and has tantrums in the middle of shops and restaurants. I have never heard her scream as loudly as she did today and I can't even remember what set her off! I was wondering if there was something wrong with her, maybe that she was ill, I even gave her some calpol to shut her up !

Oh well, tomorrow is another day!

Foxy, how was santa?

MHC, I'm a co-sleeper too! I am bloody knackered, but not half as much as if I was getting up to feed in the night. Co-sleeping rocks (except when you can't get your 2 1/2 yo out of your bed)!

Daisy, I hope your nose problem gets sorted! I am intrigued to know what it is! I love interesting illnesses (does that sound odd?)!

Wow, MHC! Glad I'm not a thrush sufferer! Avoiding Vegemite in this house is a complete impossibility! Also lots of meat...bleugh!

Hi all
Mother I am from San Fran (well mainly the burbs in that vicinity) but moved here when I turned 21 and have stayed here for 12 yrs!!! I was lured by the excitement of London and cheap flights to Europe. Now I long for weekends away in Tahoe and the wine country.

Is it my age?

Santa was great! Bit of a cockney, told us that Rudolf would throw 'a bit of a wobbly' if we didn't leave some food out for him

It was a lovely day, quite simple really, not a theme park at all. The website definately over-sold it, but when we got there I kind of got what they were getting at. I'm not sure if the kids were fooled by the 'transporter' though. And they knew the snow was fake.

Holly and BZ maybe there was something in the air re the toddlers. DS went beserk for no reason so I put him to bed where he was screaming as if I beat him (terrible 2's has put the fear in me).

Queue postman ringing doorbell at same time to deliver apackage. The same postman who only a few months earlier delivered lots of stuff from breastfeeding heaven with me always answering the door with DD latched on the boob.

I have lots of online stuff ordered for Xmas. Wonder if he is scared?

Elsbells · 04/12/2007 21:50

Foxy how lovely to have been away. What is it like to go away with lots of DC's?

I wish we had ££ for a holiday. Childcare for 2 exceeds what I earn so not sure if I will go back to work.

LMN if you're out there hope work is ok. It is very hard to juggle the 2 but it does bring a bit of sanity.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 04/12/2007 21:53

can so appreciate the tantrums. If I raise my voice to DS, he shouts "don't smack me" and/or "leave me alone" in a loud and pained sounding voice. You'd think he was beaten on a regular basis!

He cut his own toenails tonight...funny all that talk of toenails earlier. He has cut one or two of them down too far, so will be sore tomorrow.

No probs avoiding yeasty things in this house....can't stand marmite/vegimite or anything of that ilk, and avoiding GF bread is easy.......'tis the sweets and red wine I'll struggle with.

LOL holly, maybe I should be on that show about embarrasing illnesses.

Anyone watching Gordon tonight? It's a classic!

Foxy, glad you and the DCs enjoyed Lapland UK after the spoiler article in the paper.

foxythesnowman · 04/12/2007 21:59

Els, it was only Kent

But we have been longhaul with them (well, pg with no 4) and its fine. You just have to be super-organised!

Where did Teabag disappear to?

Elsbells · 04/12/2007 22:02

Der just saw Daisy's post about it being UK Lapland.

I would love to have 4 DC's. I have been told my limit is 3 by DH. BUT I am going to wait til DD is on her way of being out of nappies before we even ttc. So means no sex til she is over 2.

Elsbells · 04/12/2007 22:10

night all
it's gone quiet and I am trying to stay away from chocolate and the only way is to sleep and just dream about it.

foxythesnowman · 04/12/2007 22:11

or eat it and have done with it!

LOL at waiting till DD is 2!

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 04/12/2007 22:18

Hey Els....saw your posts earlier about your skinny jeans

Mind you, having worn skinny jeans first time around (c 1986) I don't feel a desperate need to ever wear them again. We used to buy the skinniest jeans we could find, and then take then in so there were even skinnier still (oh how I remember the chewed up fingers, as I used to do it by hand)

Hey foxy...good day?

DDs spots all gone this morning....but re-appeared mid afternoon...teething it is then!

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 04/12/2007 22:30

I felt compelled to post Here. some people

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 04/12/2007 22:32

mhc....are you American as well, or just your DH?

My mum was born in Chicago and lived there till she was six. Her American birth certificate is beautiful.

I always wanted to take her back there

foxythesnowman · 04/12/2007 22:32

Did you sew yourself into them too? The tightest stretch jeans, split the seams down the bottom so you can get your feet through then sew them back up. Madness!

foxythesnowman · 04/12/2007 22:36

Good message on that thread Daisy.

I'm off to bed now. Knackered! Night all x

Sputnik · 04/12/2007 22:38

Yeah by 86 I was already a hippy into ethnic skirts and 'Henge

Sputnik · 04/12/2007 22:40

Wow that is extreme Foxy!
I'm off too....

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 04/12/2007 22:42

Did the lying flat on the bed with a coathanger to get them zipped up though

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 04/12/2007 22:43
