Fair to middling annobal! There is one going on ebay later and I might be able to have that one if it doesn't go for too much. I lurve Radley bags! I only have one atm and a purse, but I feel a collection may be brewing!

If I hadn't have had that entertainer I think I'd have gone a bit mad! Dd would never just lie on the floor or sit on her own. The entertainer was the only way she would let me do anything for more than 5 secs! I bought it from a car boot sale for £10!

Who was looking for a digital SLR? Boots are doing some good deals on them atm, up to £160 off.

Right Ok I am pissed off now.

BZ who the hell do you think you are?

Holly's DP is doing his best. He has a life too. I don't think he can be considered wholly responsible for the lack of communication between 2 free rival email providers.
I didn't see you offer to organise it.

And a little 'perspective' for you here.
Your DD might have been causing you issues yesterday and I don't envy you and I hope you can get help (or relief) with her sometimes. But that is no reason to diminish the issues of someone else.

I have had a shit time lately and the last thing I would have needed is someone saying 'ooh, did your friend get killed? Well mine got killed worse' or 'oh sorry you got fired and had to go to lawyers, but here's some 'perspective', that's nothing, I was sued for millions'

We all agree that MN is for venting but I for one am sick of the sly remarks about your so called 'friends'. Stop taking it out on the people here else you won't have anyone left to vent to. Unless you change your name.
Oh, did you already do that?

DKMA · 04/12/2007 10:37

Gotta say I agree with Fury
BZ - think you need to have a think before you type sometimes - those posts came accross VERY badly.

I know that this might be uncomfortable for some of you who don't like confrontation (and are probably soiling yourselves at the mo) but enough is enough.

I hardly come on here (but I do lurk) because I hate the snide remarks, and how some people seem to get totally ignored when they post.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 04/12/2007 10:38

Thanks for that Holly - I've asked for a digital camera for Christmas (nothing special, just a point and shoot - have to ebay a load of clothes) - I'll direct DH to Boots...

Hi Fury

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 04/12/2007 10:42

Holly, hope you get that bag, let us know how you get on...

Morning Fury.

andiemisletoe · 04/12/2007 10:42

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 04/12/2007 10:43

And morning DkMA too, sorry I missed you 1st time

HellHathNoFury · 04/12/2007 10:43

Hi Annobal!
I am off to have a shower as I am a skank.

Hear hear DKMA. Let us not become Netmums. Hun.

Sputnik · 04/12/2007 10:45

We have a wheely bug, it's great. I'm really pleased it's heading for it's second child (that's if DD lets it, she still uses it) and still looks as good as the day we bought it. My parents also kept our original Galt ride on, she lent it to a friend, one of the wheels wewnt and Galt sent free replacements, after 30 odd years!

We have a colapsible baby walker, that could be an option Jammy. I wasn't keen either tbh to have huge plastic monstrosites littering the house, but it is useful to have a variety of places to plonk them, as they tend to get bored in the 6-12 month stage IME. Actually come to think of it DD never really moved much in it, we would've been better off with an entertainer, but there you go. Anyway, you'll only have it around for a few months.

Good luck at work LMN, aand glad your first day went well DKMA

annobalthebignosereindeer · 04/12/2007 10:47

Hi DKMA.

I'm also a huge fan of Radley but discovered Furla a while ago in Italy and have been building a lurveerly collection. Hope you get it.

We're off to town today to meet some friends. Will catch up later...

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 04/12/2007 10:48

Surely it's teenagers that are supposed to scream "IT'S NOT FAIR" all the time not 2 1/2 year olds! It's my dd's new favourite phrase when she doesn't get her own way!

Hey fury !

See you hunnis later ! Must do some parenting and housewifery at some point today (oh and getting dressed would be good too )!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 04/12/2007 10:55

sorry to be a bit dim but can someone explain heuristic?

Sputnik · 04/12/2007 10:56

Shit all hell has broken loose in the time it took me to write that post.

Have to agree with Fury BadZ, you would've done better to incinerate a few dressing gowns before posting this morning . I can totally relate to you with your toddler problems though. I think we are both fairly lucky having easier babies.

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 04/12/2007 10:56

Dd has got the older version of that train andie and she loves it! I also love a bit of plastic tat.

We are going to get this for the dcs. Dp thinks he's a mod and loves anything scootery!

Right, I'm really off now.

Me too Holly my house is a shithole

andiemisletoe · 04/12/2007 11:01

jammy heuristic play is letting your baby explore natural objects with texture etc link here it has become vv trendy as people say babies only have contact with pastic tat and need to get in touch with nature yeah man
sorry am a bit tongue in cheek about it as I think it is important but littlies love plastic tat too

andiemisletoe · 04/12/2007 11:02

Good luck at restaurant MHC. And poor DD for her finger. I trapped mine in a door when I was about 10 or 12. Unfortunately my Mum heard me yelling and tried to close the door to see what the matter was and the harder she pushed the mor I yelled. I still feel sick now thinking about it, even though it was over 25 years ago and I know it was an accident
