WestCountryLass · 17/11/2007 23:49

Just so you know, I am not about much because Leo has bloody well started cruising round the furniture and climbing stairs, FFS.

I keep telling him no, not yet, but he is ignoring me dammit!

PeshaCake · 18/11/2007 10:03

Surely I'm not the first person here?!

I dont think thats ever happened!!!

Not that I have anything to say.

I'll get me coat

NorthernLurker · 18/11/2007 10:06

I'm here but shouldn't be 'cos we'll be late for church - see you later...

CaptainDippy · 18/11/2007 12:36

OMGosh WCL - cruising!! {{{hugs}}} of sympathy for you - We want to see pics!!

Hello all - back from church, DD1 out with daddy choosing a new toy for her marble jar; other two all tuckled up and sleeping. Older 2 going to outlaws for a couple of hours this pm - Neeeeeeed to take P to do some shopping - Whoooooo, deep joy ......

How is everyone today??

PeshaCake · 18/11/2007 13:41

Oh yes at cruising! Dd was cruising by now, ds1 was crawling but ds2 is being lovely to his mummy and just casually rolling abit!

Hi dippy

Cant get over how quiet it is!

Yay for older 2 going to ils

Mine are playing on the wii at the moment, Nathan gets so excited and is jumping all over the place, waving the controller about like a loon! Its actually quite good exercise, well for a rainy day its not bad!

Dylan lying on his gym watching and sneezing!

DP reading his book because he fell asleep on the sofa last night and somehow managed to fall on his thumb and the whole end of it has doubled in size and gone purple And I was just PMSLing that he managed to do so much damage just falling off the sofa and at what a nightmare he is! [evil] He cant even play on the psp he's borrowed to keep him entertained while his knee is recovering!

And I'm searching for jobs. Or I was till I got disheartened Have found one telesales from home job that I'll ring up about tomorrow though - sounds ideal actually which probably means its already gone

Bored now. Sundays when its rainy, we're completely skint and half of us have crappy colds are no fun at all.

Well dp has just switched the wii off to watch f@*ing football so nathan is now having an absolute head fit and him and maia are arguing

underwire · 18/11/2007 13:59

at cruising WCL, no wonder you have your hands full! F is thinking about crawling but not actually getting anywhere yet. Dreading it tbh as she is a little bugger already grabbing at anything and everything she can reach. Goodness knows what she will be like when she is actually mobile

Hideous weather here today, wet and very miserable. I feel really down and I am getting really fed up of days like this. I just want to feel like me all the time again. I know its just one of those things and many people on here are going through the same, I am just finding life tough ATM.

I think I now have some ideas of what to get my secret santa recipient! Hope they will like it though, really odd trying to think of a gift for someone that you have never met! If anyone feels the need to post any tips of things they like then I would be grateful By that I mean that the person I am buying for hasnt!

elkiedee · 18/11/2007 14:03

Danny was up and very wide awake from just before midnight to about 2.30/3 am? this morning. Then had a very long nap from just 10 to 12.45. I'm confused and both dp and I feel tired and miserable.

Eek at Leo, KHIN.

Good luck with the job hunt Pesha.

I'm going to attempt some hoovering.

elkiedee · 18/11/2007 14:10

Sorry that should have been WCL re eek at Leo, blame tiredness fog.

Hugs underwire, maybe this is an infectious form of Seasonal Affective Disorder. Someone suggested that was my problem last week.

I'm panicking about the next couple of weeks - builders due to start on our kitchen next weekend, someone to look at our radiator that hasn't worked in yonks last week. Does anyone have a service cover contract that seems worth the cost? Mine seems to me way too expensive and probably won't cover me for anything anyway, as our boilers are well over 7 years old now. And I'm very unimpressed with the service - first couple of years it seemed to go well and be worth having and since then it's been money down the drain (we moved in 9 years ago next Saturday).

PillockOfTheCommunity · 18/11/2007 14:16

what on earth is going on?
NEVER have we had a thread go this slowly

I'm getting quite excited - It's meet up time

Doing my usual just popping in thing, dh working this w/e and I don't feel like I have a minute to myself. So apologies as haven't read anything but just hope you're all doing OK.

Looking forward to seeing the SE ladies on Friday.....10.30ish at the Anvil, right? I'll be the stressed looking one whose hair is still falling out in handfuls but whose baby is smiling and waving at everyone she sees.

S vomited all over the place yesterday evening, luckily I pre-empted it and rushed to the bathroom where she chundered all over me and all over the bath mat where I'd hastily sat her down. She then proceeded to start chatting away happily, playing with the vomit and starting to shove it in her mouth. She seems fine today, touch wood, so I'm just waiting for her to wake up as we're going out as E is doing my head in.

House things not doing well. We did a 2nd viewing on the lovely house and DH has rejected it as it's next to a busy road. He doesn't seem to understand that the only reason we can afford a house like that is because it is next to a road. So, back to square 1 again.

Have a good day everyone. Pissing with rain here. Am vvvvv tired, if I just lay my head down on this nice warm laptop I'd be asleep....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

PeshaCake · 18/11/2007 14:20

How was your night out ellie?

Sorry bout crap night elkie - we had one too. And by we i mean me and d, dp was hiding out on the sofa!

UW - am feeling very crap here too. Definitely think weather doesnt help, whether its to blame or not.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 18/11/2007 14:24

and are we still having a SW meet up on Saturday too? Somewhere near Bristol?

OP posts:
PeshaCake · 18/11/2007 14:26

No idea! I saw the signs for horseworld on the way to ikea the other day so I know where it is and how to get there!

underwire · 18/11/2007 15:19

We could, is anyone coming? I know runny had been interested, am seeing her Tuesday so could ask her if she doesnt show here in the meantime.

NorthernLurker · 18/11/2007 15:45

Afternoon all

UW - sorry you feel down - winter is rubbish and though the babies are so lovely at this stage - they are jolly hard work too!

CD - hurray for babysitting relatives. Hurroo for shopping!

WCL - how is your dd now? Very impressed with the cruising - and relieved B's just rolling.

Elkie - sorry you had a bad night

IDOC - sympathy with the house - I know exactly what you mean!

Well we had quite a good night - B woke at 9 sounding sad and hungry so she had a good feed then - seemed soundly off but woke as soon as we went to bed at 12. I was not impresssed but put her back in cot with mobile (she is still in our room as there is nowhere else for her to go) - quiet for 5 mins then off she goes again. Repeated mobile and.....next thing I kow it's 7.30 and she has slept the whole night in her own cot Besides myself with excitement - just have to work out how to repeat the miracle!! Awful weather here too - soup lunch at church today so nice and warming - and we are all having sausages cooked in the oven, roast potatoes and Cauliflower Cheese for tea. Yummmmmmmm

geordiemacminx · 18/11/2007 19:30

Evening all!!

Its been very quiet on here this weekend!!

Elkie/UW, sorry you are having such a crap time of it.

Ellie - were youout last night? How did it go?

Had a nice family weeknd here, just nice chilling. C still isnt sleeping much but hey ho ust one of those things.

HAVE TO SHARE THIS WITH YOU I put C in his cot, sitting up while I was hanging his clothes up and generally tidying up... turned back round, he had shuffled himself over to the side, put his hands on the side of the cot and stood up I was sooo . He was grinning at me so cheekily!!! Its all my fault to be fair as last week we were practising him pulling himself up on my arms... ooops!! (still very proud though)

PillockOfTheCommunity · 18/11/2007 19:33

I was out, but not where I was supposed to be, was just out with mates in the end

oooggs there are no details yet, kinda depends whether you are coming or not

OP posts:
underwire · 18/11/2007 19:56

Go on oooggs, do come The way I feel right now I dont want to come, but that is just my miserable head wanting to be a recluse and not go anywhere, its nothing personal. Tbh, it would probably do me good to come and meet others who are going through the same as me iyswim.
I bloody well hate feeling like this all the flaming time

underwire · 18/11/2007 19:57

Where were you supposed to be pillock? Date?

zazas · 18/11/2007 20:03

Hello all, just catching up... Envious of all of you who live South and your meet ups, I am so out in the sticks!

I keep reading about IDOChocolate and NLurker's quest for the 'perfect' house and have utmost sympathy for you. Sold our house a few weeks ago which has put us in a great position to buy - so you would think but the bloody vendors have kept chasing us for that few thousand more. Honestly, these are people selling 2nd homes and you have to ask what is £2000 in today's market . ANYWAY after I completely lost it with the real estate woman after going back and forth they accepted on Saturday Now I have the joys of packing up and moving before Christmas 7 people's stuff. Actually I shall not moan as it is a lovely big house that we are buying and it has 3 toilets which is as good as it gets for us!

Better go and put DC's to bed and do some work and some ironing - oh the excitement of it all!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 18/11/2007 20:12

no, just meeting up with a guy from work
