May 07 - 6mths on...........Oh I can't think of a witty title, 6mths is obviously not long enough to have regained some brain cells.....

Morning all.....

Thought I'd start a new thread as the other was huge.

Bit late now but big hug to Beau..... hope you went back to sleep little man.

J & M still asleep, it's one good thing about having Mum & Dad around, I don't have to wake the girls up to do the school run.

CONGRATULATIONS SKY!! That's such good news.

Glad I'm not the only one!

AM - I'm really, really sorry to hear that your granddad is so ill.

All well here, apart from DH who is working too hard and being a grumpy arse in the evenings. I've been bored all day on my own and want to chat and he wants to switch off, surf the net and be ignored.

I'm thinking of turning the study into a spare room after Christmas, putting a telly in there and connecting the extra Sky box so he can bugger off and be miserable on his own. I'd rather he was out of my sight, than looking irritated every time I speak to him and making me repeat myself 3 times because he can't surf and talk at the same time. Plus, if there's a bed in there, if he falls asleep watching TV I can just leave him in there. As it is, I try to get him off the couch and into bed at night and I get narked at for waking him.

There are some undercurrents of "Yes, but I work..." going on at the moment. Granted, I am a pretty terrible housekeeper and haven't so much as opened any post in weeks, never mind file it, but nevertheless, we need to nip it in the bud or I'll end up kicking his arse.

Speaking of housekeeping... I booked some cleaners for today , as I'll never catch up with the work otherwise. Anyway, they just arrived and God love them, but neither of them have more than 10 words of English. Now, try thinking of a mime for "This Ecover product is for limescale, this one is for general cleaning." The bottles don't have pictures on them, so had to point to product and then point to white marks on the stainless steel etc. Painful. Not as painful as having to do the bathrooms myself though.

Going for a private scan on Monday and hoping they can tell me how far along I am. I think it's most likely it's 8 or 9 weeks though. Hurrah. Will mean this pregnancy will feel a month shorter than the last one, because I knew when I was less than 4 weeks last time.

LG&T, I keep meaning to type out that chocolate cherry cupcake recipe for you. I'll do it later. It's only got cherries on top, you use cherry jam in the actual cupcake (in place of sugar I think.) They're super easy - you make it all in one saucepan, but a little expensive because you use a whole jar of "good" cherry jam and some 70% cocoa chocolate as well maybe.
