Morning all.....

Thought I'd start a new thread as the other was huge.

Bit late now but big hug to Beau..... hope you went back to sleep little man.

J & M still asleep, it's one good thing about having Mum & Dad around, I don't have to wake the girls up to do the school run.

My first proper AF this morning, so am a bit at talk of all the babies, but relieved because for a teensy tiny moment I thought there was a teensy tiny possibility of a number four - phew,as I had given away all the baby stuff Cyber aunties of the world unite, I like April's suggestion, what we could do is eat all the things that are bad for you in pregnancy on your behalf and you could all just eat fruit. JW you and JL need to get practising so send over those cakes now

As for poops,if they are pooping more than normal its often a sign of teeth approaching. But sorry anneme I've no idea how to stop it, me thinks its near impossible to halt nature's course

J does not like anything that is not fruit any suggestions on how to halt a slippery slope downwards into a fruit (and petits filous ) only diet?

JW - Monte Carlo heh? What kind of mission is he on? Sounds like fun, another international man of mystery perhaps....???

Get cracking MrsJB, only 12 days to go

Bensonbluebird · 13/12/2007 10:46

Congratulations Sky! That's fab news.
Sorry to hear about your sick LOs LG&T. I think the good think about them being ill (apart from boosting their immune systems) is that things are soo much easier when they are better and then you think 'haven't I got lovely children?'.

All good here, doing some work, practicing baking mince pies for the annual mince pie competition. I love mince pies and DP doesn't like them so DS1 and I get to eat all the rejects.

Lupins71 · 13/12/2007 12:04

JW what a cutie, dd keeps trying to get me to put A in a santa suit but I dont think dp would ever forgive me!!

LW sorry C has been poorly hope the antib's take effect soon

I have just been to the hospital to get A's hydrocel checked its not bothering him so dont have to go back for 6 months they may operate when he's 2 if its not sorted itself out by then

I was in such a fowl mood with my pmt last night i went to bed after putting the kids to bed at 7pm woke up at 7am, still in a bit of a grump but feeling better now, dont seem to have any patience with dd who seems helll bent on trashing the place and pulling all the tinsle down I have changed my anti d's this month as the prozac game me migraine so the others havent taken effect yet

Apologies to my secret santa person, I got one of the gifts nicely wrapped up went out of the room and when i returned A was chewing on the paper and had removed the label!!

I NEED A NEW BUGGY!!!! lol, my pliko the seat has bust, I ordered a new bit and they have sent the wrong bit and my bayamo has a puncture, which i know isnt the end of the world but good enough reason to get another one me thinks - I fancy a quinny freestyle or a Jane powertrack 360 ir slalom, decided i need one with a handbrake as the hills round here are treacherous

Going to take dd to Oracle ice rink tnite as they have peter pan characters on ice, going with her little friend from school

Hope your all staying nice and wrapped up, have a good day

AChristmasMeadow · 13/12/2007 13:35

off to go and watch my snowflake!

MumtoCharlotteMay · 13/12/2007 16:01

Hello

Oh my god! SKY!!! Huge congrats to you lovely, is there something in the water, that's 2 of you now! I'll just have to cheer for you from the sidelines as I is not wanting another, I'm still in complete denial and shock from C that may well last, ooooo say 30 years. Oh, mind, babies are so very, very cute.........No, Can't, wont!

JW that is a very adorable little man you have there, I found a Mrs Santa Clause outfit in Asda the other week which I'm planning to go back and get, think it was only about £5.00 so very bargainess.

Lupins, agree it sounds like you absolutely MUST have a new buggy lol. I've still got my Silvercross 3D that I use for just about everything, and my Presto stays in the boot of the car because it's so easy to fold etc. Perfect shopping buggy. But I still love looking on ebay at all the prams, wishing I could have 50! I honestly think my mum would kill me if I bought another, as the third one I got was sold within 2 days of getting here to make room for the presto

Cam could you try introducing foods that are meat/vegetable based that have some fruit in them? C's exactly the same, loves the fruit and KNOWS that it's coming so rejects everything before it. So I now give her things like chicken and rice with apricot and veg etc. There are loads of recipies, and it gives the food that little fruit tang that they seem to love so much. From there you could introduce other, less fruity meals, becasue he'll have gotten used to having meals that aren't just fruit. I have know idea if that made sense, hope it did and it helps. It worked for C who will now eat anything, including the diches her food comes in.......I do wonder what the future holds for my daughter sometimes Failing that just give him meat/veg dishes and cover it in fruity yoghurt, my cousin swears by it with her dd. Though I did kind of feel sorry for Mia as she had beef hotpot covered in strawberry yoghurt inserted into her wee mouth, not something I personally would like to eat myself lol, but worked on her baby.

MumtoCharlotteMay · 13/12/2007 16:04

I have know idea??

I have no* idea lol

StarlightStarbrightSKYTVtonite · 13/12/2007 16:41

Thanks again for all the congrats. Sorry AM that in my rush to post I didn't notice you were not good! Bet the snowflake was cute and made you a very proud mummy.

I think my EDD will be around 8 August but have booked a midwife appointment for new years eve.

Feeeling really tired but then again I have been for months and christmas is taking it out of me a bit. I also just realised that I have to face another christmas without brie, praws and lots of wine!

I know its early days but DP and I have been xmas shopping today and have been eyeing up all the double pushchairs/buggies. I may need some advice!

AbbyLou · 13/12/2007 17:27

Many congrats Sky. I feel a little bit jealous too. We will not be having any more and although I know it's the right decision R is growing up so fast. I do feel a little broody sometimes.
JW you're a star. Thanks so much for the offer of a KK. How do I email my send you my address?

StarlightStarbrightSKYTVtonite · 13/12/2007 17:32

Oh, forgot to say bf whilst pregnant is very painful - ouch!!

Just off to see if there is a due in August 2008 thread yet, not deserting you, but might pop in and say hello to them.

juliewoolie · 13/12/2007 19:18

sky i forbid it you are not allowed to leave us.

Am how was the snowflake?

God I am soo bored tonight, after baking up a storm yesterday bumps and babes was a bit of a washout think it was to cold only a few of us so now I have a mountain of cakes to eat - ho hum never mind, I have hit pre preggo weight so its about time I piled the pounds back on.

Abby [email protected] will happily post some to you but think they might get a bit squashed in an envelope

The santa outfit was from M&S would never take him out the house in it as it is a bit twee but thought the pictures would make great thankyou cards.

Bless my poor DP after getting up at the crack of dawn to go to Monaco, his plane was delayed so by the time he hit the office the person he had a meeting with had left then this afternoon I got a call from him to say he bent over and his trousers spilt right up the back

largevirginbirthandtonic · 13/12/2007 19:36

Me too i forbid you, you must stay here. Im trying as hard as i can to catch up. Poor dh

I have stopped BF, i made a pact with MrsJB on MSN last week and i have stuck to it. I feed him at night if he needs it but thats it. My boobs are now shrinking at an alarming rate Must get pregnant soon.

Lups, i saw a Jane Carrera today. It looked lovely, i like the Slalom too Nice colours atm, that green and aqua on is lovely.

AM how was the snowflake? Was dh in a better mood on his return?

largevirginbirthandtonic · 13/12/2007 19:42

Like this one Lups, not that im encouraging you or anything...

largevirginbirthandtonic · 13/12/2007 19:45

and this one

Pinkjenny · 13/12/2007 20:14

Hi all lovely ladies

Sky - so - no don't worry lg&t, I'm not planning any more for years!

Glad to hear everyone is ok - Hey Lwatkins - poor C, glad she's better now!

All great in our household except dh still irritating me. A lot. Got all my pressies now, just need to wrap them up. Am currently on the bed with Season 3 of 90210. I know, I know, get a life. Am loving the erotic dreams about Luke Perry though. Yum.

StarlightStarbrightSKYTVtonite · 13/12/2007 21:19

Don't worry I won't be deserting you, the other thread looks huge already and I've hardly time to keep up with this one. I have introduced myself and may keep popping in but I really belong with you

cameroonmama · 13/12/2007 22:05

Good to see you have your priorities right SKY

JW - PMSL at your poor dh

I too am contemplating stopping the booby, but frankly as J is deffo the last one I think I might prolong it until we get to Kenya, it'll certainly make the journey, arrival and staying at someone else's house a lot easier. Did it hurt LG&T? Is Beau better for it?

How was the snowflake April? This is the first time I have sat down all day, ds1 was a fabulous Angel Gabriel and was the only one with any lines and he delivered them in a loud and booming voice much to the amusement of all the mummies and grannies. Like a true perfectionist (obvisously her father's daughter) Dd got a little more anxious about her role, that it had to be perfect. Luckily she didn't fluff it or she would have been mortified It didn't help that I had to take her for 2 more jabs an hour before hand and the poor mite was so brave but sobbed away. (Turn away LG&T, it really doesn't hurt honest and if you are good they will even give you a sticker). DS1 also went to the speech therapist who has given us lots of exercises and games for him to do and has even offered to support me with suggestions by email to Kenya.

I have also been sorting out piles of clothes, endless piles of clothes....

Plus I made some Christmas Tree fairy cakes for ds1 christmas party. Phew. Not as good as the delectable snowmen but will the kids care?

Thanks LW for your food suggestions, tbh that's what we already do, I am trying to do as the HV suggested by letting him pick up pieces of veg and feed himself and he seems a lot happier.

AChristmasMeadow · 13/12/2007 22:14

Hi ladies

Jack was a great snowflake, I seem to have lost my profile (possibly coz i have changed my name, cant remember how to link it). Will load a picture when i can figure it out.

Dh was in a better mood thanks lg&t and has needed my help funnily enough

Just been for dinner at my bosses. Was really nice and we talked about what i will be doing when i go back and also nice to talk to them about non work stuff. Got a call from my brother whilst i was there to say that he was with my dad and grandad and the news was not good and that they didnt think grandad would last the night I guess i am just waiting for 'that' phone call.

AChristmasMeadow · 13/12/2007 22:19

Forgot to say that Ella now only has the boob between 7pm and 7am and is quite happy to have bottles at 10.30am & 3pm. She is taking 2oz mixed with her porridge and 6oz at the 2 feeds. Am going to up them to 7oz tomorrow as she is downing the 6's and almost looking for more. Boobs dont hurt and it is sooooooo nice to wear proper bras again

cameroonmama · 13/12/2007 22:25

oh April, I'm sorry to hear that, are you far away? Would you be able to pop over in the morning if he manages to hang on?

AChristmasMeadow · 13/12/2007 22:32

He lives in coventry. Have said to my dad that if he wants me to go up then i will but tbh i really dont see what good it will do me just sitting there waiting for him to die. He is so dosed up that he wont know who is there. Dad said that they have washed him and tucked him up and made him comfortable so at least he is peaceful.

cameroonmama · 13/12/2007 22:37

You're right - sometimes its better to remember them how they were and all the good times you had together.

Lupins71 · 13/12/2007 22:39

SKY Huuuugggeee congrats, sorry have just caught up with that bit of new, how fab for you

AM whats all this about a snowflake, I think i have missed something here (guess where I was tnite heheheh - lets just say it was round, with brown topping and a custardy middle!! ) Hope your gdad is ok, hugs to you

LGT love the 1st buggy, not too keen on the 2nd but i am a sucker for those big wheels - if i could drive and could afford it for that matter I expect I would like a hummer

LW still havent tried out a presto - might be next on the list, let me know if you get bored of it, myst say I do like my prammette for in town and on the bus, and the school run - errr why is it I need a big wheel buggy - oh yer for walking the dog

Arlen used to be a night time pooper, we have changed breakfast around and that seems to have solved the problem altho could just be coincidence, we now do solid food 1st before milk the milk just before mid morning nap

Have just taken dd to the ice rink at the oracle they had the people who are in peter pan doing a preview, it was quite good except that captain hook fell on his arse lol!! ooops.

Right off for more sleep, night all hope you have a good sleep

AChristmasMeadow · 13/12/2007 22:48

Jack was a snowflake in his nativity Lups. Am at the KK

MKG · 14/12/2007 05:12

Well I wish I could join the pregnancy club again, but I have to wait until I hit my pre-pregnancy weight. I still weigh the same as the day I went into the hospital to have Cruz. I just can't shake these extra pounds. Besides my mother would kill me (I feel like a 16 year old kid).

I to am in the dropping the breastfeeding club. I never thought I would make it this far, and am looking forward to being totally finished. Cruz on the other hand isn't too keen on the idea. When I give him a bottle he looks at me like, "Uh, cut the crap ma" So hopefully we'll be done within the next month, but to tell the truth I'm a little sad that this phase is passing, but I welcome the next one.

I hope everyone is doing well and not stressing too much over Christmas.

juliewoolie · 14/12/2007 08:28

AM poor you, thinking of you and your granddad today.

We are down to 2 sometimes 3 boobs a day think we are defo on the way out he has a fit at bedtime when I put him to the boob and will suck on and off with shouting for 5 - 10 mins and then has a bottle. Only lovely feed is first thing but even that one doesnt always go smoothly. Right think that has just persuaded me its time to stop will bottle him during the day today and just give him boob in the am.

Cam have no idea how you manage it.
