Morning all.....

Thought I'd start a new thread as the other was huge.

Bit late now but big hug to Beau..... hope you went back to sleep little man.

J & M still asleep, it's one good thing about having Mum & Dad around, I don't have to wake the girls up to do the school run.

Morning all

AM - I have a spreadsheet too . Just been trying to put a password on the DDs lists as I am using Works and not Word like when I was at work. I'm sure it isn't hard!

Going to put decorations up today but they are in the loft and DP has gone out to get paint etc for the DDS room which he now has the next week off to decorate.

I will probably go and get them out of the loft myself if he is very long and we are all impatient to get on with it.

I know what you mean about being pg and ladders TYG. Last year DP was a nightmare but wouldn't put the outside lights up himself for ages!!

barelymorethantwelvemonthgap · 08/12/2007 11:06

Yeah I started one the other day. 54 people to buy for!!! No wonder you start in November. No, a lot of our family doesn't buy - cousins, aunts, uncles etc. Immediate family only.

The last show was at her school, put on my the dance club, so no, not the same thing. Theatretrain are a company that do drama and singing training and specialise in doing huge performances once a year where loads of theatretrain groups all sing together in the Albert Hall or something. Money making scheme me thinks... Going to try to get her into a local drama group instead.

Sh'te. Better get ready. Have to go in 10 mins.

I give up. After my hassle with my electric packing up the other day I now have a problem with my electric meter We are on the Key meter and dh topped the key up before he went to work but when i tried to put the key in it wouldnt accept it. Spent all morning trying to get through to our supplier only to be told there is a problem with my key and I have to drag E & A out in the rain to buy a new one. I dont drive and the nearest shop that sells them is 1.2 miles away, there isnt even a bus i can get to take me there. The key will cost me £8, i then have to bring it home, put it in the meter to register it and then go back out in the bloody rain to put money on it. I will get the money back dh put on the key this morning if I send my old key off but not the money i have to pay out for the new one. I am so
Today is not a good day for me, my throat is getting worse, poor A is very chesty, coughing all the time and now has a runny nose to add to it all, and i had promised to take E to the Christmas Fayre (which is where J is, helping out)

Sorry about the rant but im in the house with two kids, dh at work til god knows when, I cant scream (although i think it would do me good to let it out) because my throat hurts, i cant even talk for longer then two minutes

And yes im feeling very sorry for myself and not very festive at all bah humbug lol

juliewoolie · 08/12/2007 12:25

me thinks there are christmas elves at work today.

off in the pishing rain to get our tree today DP has relented and instead of feckin awful plastic thing he would like us to get we are getting a real tree excellent - que lots of arguing about hopw tall it is and I expect it will be like last year where we practically had to chop the thing in half to get it in the door.

Pebblemum · 08/12/2007 12:33

The only neighbours who are in are in the same boat as me, dont drive. Just phoned dh and there is no way he can pop back home, he is too busy and his big boss is down. My parents would normally help but they have gone away for the weekend, my sister is in Portsmouth shopping and cant get hold of my mil so it looks like Ive got no other option.

I know a bit of rain wont kill me its just I had hoped to stay as dry as possible today (E's pre-school is only across the road so we wouldnt get too wet going to the fayre)Oh well perhaps the drowned rat look is in fashion this year lol

AChristmasMeadow · 08/12/2007 14:10

Pebble what a nightmare. Sorry that you are all still a bit under the weather. I am supposed to be coming down your way tomorrow but not sure i fancy driving in the wind and rain.

I only have such a long list as i buy for all of dh's staff otherwise they would get bugger all. Dh is 1 of 6 so there are many to buy for there as most have girlfriends and one has a child. We buy for immediate family, friends children and a bout 2 friends who are childless but always buy for us. I have massively scaled down from previous years where we would buy for dh's aunts and cousins.

Julie your secret santa present sounds fab - am quite . I hope dh gets me a TT calendar, afterall i have bought him a Kylie for the last few years.

I think i have worked out who mine was from.... I think it was from AbbyLou??

I hope mine has arrived with its owner....

StarlightStarbrightSKYTVtonite · 08/12/2007 15:46

Oh dear pebble - what a horrid day.

Where is thread telling marslady what we got. Haven't got mine but have lost the thread!

MKG · 08/12/2007 15:56

OK I've added some pictures to my profile.

MKG · 08/12/2007 16:03

OK maybe now my profile will show up?

MKG · 08/12/2007 16:05

Or perhaps now?

largevirginbirthandtonic · 08/12/2007 18:08

Where are they then MKG?

Pebble how rubbish, hope you are not too wet through.

April Beau and Hugs are lurgy ridden so i would avoid a visit. Buggeration. Next time i hope.

Blardy spreadsheets? You are all clearly insane

I have yet to buy Xmas cards Got the card from you April, thank you!

AbbyLou · 08/12/2007 18:41

Oh my God I've only been away a couple of days, the thread goes mad and TYG is preggers. Many congratu;ations to you. you mmust be mad but they'll have real fun together won't they.
We were at my mum's last night and she babysat so dh and I could go out for a meal. It was lovely to spend some time together on our own, we seem to be so busy all the time we're like ships that pass in the night.
Dh is going up in the loft tomorrow to get all the Christmas stuff down. We've bought C his own tree this year because he makes so much stuff with the cm, now he'll have somewhere of his own to hang it so it doesn't litter up fill up my tree.

AChristmasMeadow · 08/12/2007 19:42

Actually I think i will cancel my trip as the weather looks appauling and i dont fancy driving all that way in wind and rain.
I hope the boys get better quickly xx

MKG · 08/12/2007 19:50

OK they should be up now . . .Maybe

cameroonmama · 08/12/2007 19:55

All lurgy ridden here too, grumpy and PITA, and that's just me I hope the boys are soon better LG&T, I was looking on your profile at your pics and ds1 got very excited and shouted loudly 'look mummy there's Hugo' and has subsequently taken to coming down the stairs on his bottom only -'like Hugo' he says I'd better not tell him about the other things Hugo does

Pebble, what a nightmare. They don't make it easy do they?

JW - did dp get the good news last night?

I've now got several spreadsheets, one for the UK, one for Kenya. Its a particular hobby of the 007 one.

I took J to be weighed yesterday and he weighs farkin 23lbs That's almost 2 stone I am carrying around a great deal of the day. I've got arms like The Incredible Hunk (only not green, naturally). Also I have discovered he actually does like to eat real food but only if it has fruit in it, so we have done leek, pot and fromage frais - with banana, cauliflower cheese - with banana, I think you can see the pattern emerging.

TYG, how was the play thingy? Did you get any shopping? I hope you are not trying to do too much. You do realise of course that your new baby will have a host of 'virtual' godmothers all battling over who can be the first to snuggle him in RL

cameroonmama · 08/12/2007 19:58

So sweet MKG Fabulous one of Cruz and his sled.

juliewoolie · 08/12/2007 23:08

Presents bought and wrapped, cards written and posted, and the tree is up and decked out I love Christmas,

MKG your boys are lovely.

Pebble, Cam & LG&T how are you and yours feeling this evening? I think A is coming down with something been uber whingy today and has done alot of on off snacking on the boob and general rubbishness.

TYG did you get to the play was it as shite fabulous as you thought it would be?

CAM he most certainly did.

barelymorethantwelvemonthgap · 08/12/2007 23:33

Such cute little boys MKG.

Pebble, you poor thing! That's awful. What a terrible faff, even if you weren't sick.

The play thingy was some sort of attempt by the group to show us what the kids were doing for the term. It was far too ambitious, half the drama bits were read from scripts instead of learnt, because they were so long. Half the words of the singing bit were forgotten and the dance was done on the floor, rather than the stage, so we couldn't see it. The best bit was the Cadbury's Roses at the door. I'm SO mean. DD was pretty good in her play thing. They did a scene from the Witches. She's not as confident as the other girls - they've clearly been attending for years. She wants to go back next term because they're putting on Mulan. I don't really mind (despite the £250), if it means she'll get some stage confidence. It's good for her really. I think maybe it's a bit cliquey and she needs to "get in" with the girls in her group.

Couldn't face the shops, so I did some online shopping. Will see if I can drag my fat ass out tomorrow instead.

AChristmasMeadow · 09/12/2007 11:48

Just a quick one...... Does anyone need a next size up car seat? I have 2 Britax First Class si, they are rear facing and then turn to be forward facing they are NOT Isofix. Ds is too big for his and I have a new one for Ella that fits my car.

Anywho, if you would like them please let me know. I can either delvier them or can get them delivered to you for a samll contribution to the courier costs.

Also if you know anyone that wants a Mamas and Papas Omni Cot bed with matress theni have one of those as well - ds is now in his BIG bed.
