Morning all.....

Thought I'd start a new thread as the other was huge.

Bit late now but big hug to Beau..... hope you went back to sleep little man.

J & M still asleep, it's one good thing about having Mum & Dad around, I don't have to wake the girls up to do the school run.

Congratulations TYG

And to AM for guessing correctly

I should be wrapping Christmas presents but had to pop on here first to catch up.

E is starting to get better although he is still very ratty. Both E and A have got chesty coughs now though. Poor A is really going through it at the moment, shes teething, has a cough and had her last injections yesterday which has caused her a bit of discomfort.

J seems to be fine at the moment still and I hope it stays that way. I however have got a terrible sore throat and am feeling like poo. My throat hurts so much Ive lost my appetite and when i do eat all I can swallow is soup. I tried sucking on chocolate earlier but even that hurt Ive had this for three days now and Im getting fed up now. Dh had planned to take me out for lunch today but we couldnt go because i cant eat (and i wasnt going to sit there eating soup while he stuffed his face with steak)

To add to my woes we spent from around 9pm Tuesday to 5pm yesterday with no plug sockets working. Everytime we switched something on the safety cut in and everything went off. We had lights though as they were on a different circuit and there was one socket that was working (again on a different circuit) so we were able to keep the fridge freezer plugged in but that was it, we had no heating or hot water, no tv, no computer and I couldnt even have a wash without heating water on the oven which thankfully is gas. It was a nightmare. We checked it wasnt any of our appliances causing the problem and then called an electrician, it took him over an hour to find out what was wrong and another hour to sort it out. It all seems fine now thank god but it made me realise how much we take for granted. I couldnt even open a tin of beans for tea as I only have an electric tin opener and the can didnt have a ring pull. I had to ask a neighbour if she could washa nd dry J's coat for me after he had come home from school caked in mud (he said he fell over but it looked more like he had gone swimming in the mud)What a nightmare!!

Oh you poor thing, Pebble.

DH took it very well. He's really chuffed actually.

largevirginbirthandtonic · 07/12/2007 08:40

I have to go to work, back later to express more and lots of love

You clever thing

AChristmasMeadow · 07/12/2007 08:58

Has it sunk in yet? Is S pleased to have another bubba on the way?
You should get a nice early dating scan I do like scans, am a bit that i wont be doing it all again.

AChristmasMeadow · 07/12/2007 08:58

Maybe i can just come and smell & cuddle all new bundles

Mrsjollyballs · 07/12/2007 09:25

morning all,

TYG I've been thinking about you most of the night. Thoughts ranged from aghhhhhh how lovely, to very slight (why I have no idea) to, she must be a gluten for punishment and always back to ohhhhhhh how exciting and lovely.

Yes, have you told S yet?

SKYTVADDICT · 07/12/2007 10:14

Many Congrats TYG. Fantastic news. We haven't been using contraception either and I think I was a little disappointed my test was negative - then reality set it - already have three - no room in our house etc!! Going to make an appointmehnt for a coil asap

Going to last but one HV run baby group this morning. Only "non moving" babies are allowed and although C just sits there, all those I have made friends with are rolling etc so will not be invited back after xmas so I won't know anyone.

Not going to Melton Mowbray to get the pink and glittery magnatex today as DP won't let me . Says I have too much on and it is a 50 mile round trip apparently and he reckons it will come in stock again before xmas nearer home. I'm not convinced.

juliewoolie · 07/12/2007 10:45

SKY try Argos online I got some last xmas for my niece that way.

TYG have been thinking about you am so I want another baby. My DP is going to get the shock of his life tonight we are going into baby making mode But still mega congrats and dont even think about going to a due in thread we wont have it - do you hear me young lady!

Mum2G · 07/12/2007 11:33

Fab news TYG!

Mum2G · 07/12/2007 11:38

Hope you are feeling better soon Pebble

Bensonbluebird · 07/12/2007 12:11

Ho Ho Ho.... well done TYG - do you realise you aren't going to be drinking at Christmas again?

When I was at school there was a brother and sister who were both in my year with different fathers. When I think about that now I'm awed at how their mother could have achieved it.

largevirginbirthandtonic · 07/12/2007 12:36

Right so we need MrsJollyBalls, SOH and JulieWoolie, SkyTV and it will be like old times Go on AM you know you want to.

Still and for you TYG

Very though....

Mrsjollyballs · 07/12/2007 13:15

NO

and I reckon I could safely say NO for AM too.

AChristmasMeadow · 07/12/2007 13:27

Dh says SOD OFF!!

So that would be a NO from me as well

largevirginbirthandtonic · 07/12/2007 16:26

barelymorethantwelvemonthgap · 07/12/2007 17:50

Haven't told S yet, or anyone else for that matter. DH asked me not to. I tried to make a midwife appt (at the GP surgery) and was told there were none until Jan 8th! Then they rang back and said I had to see a GP first and get referred. Tsk. I'm anxious to get the scan done by 12 weeks as I heard the dating gets less accurate after that and I've no idea when I got pregnant.

juliewoolie · 07/12/2007 19:03

bloody typical - London surgery's. Just tell them you need a booking app and make a GP app on the same day, make something up so you get seen quicker. Know exactly what its like I moved back to London when I was about 14wks and it was a complete bugger trying to register and get seen.

God damn bugger aka DP has gone out to the pub so will be useless for making babies tonight.

I reckon it will be LG&T next Come on you others cant leave TYG on her own to go through this again.

AChristmasMeadow · 07/12/2007 19:45

How rediculous! You want to move out of London. If i was needing a MW appt then i could go next week. I didnt need to see a Dr either....... Is there any chance of a cancellation appointment?

AChristmasMeadow · 07/12/2007 19:46

My money is on either LG&T or Julie getting a bpf next

Juicylucytoo · 07/12/2007 21:03

OMG.

Bloody Hell, away for 5 minutes and someone's up the duff

Big Congrats TYG. Will try my best to join you soon

Big "TA VERY MUCH" BTW MrsJB. Better late than never.

Oh yes and MERRY CHRISTMAS - in case it takes me another month to post

MKGrinchThatStoleChristmas · 08/12/2007 04:57

TYG, A very big congratulations, but I am so !

Dh and I haven't even had sex since Cruz was born, actually we haven't had sex since he was conceived

Lupins71 · 08/12/2007 07:32

TYG OMG CONGRATULATION WOOHOO so chuffed for you, dont worry about cake its good for you!!

AChristmasMeadow · 08/12/2007 08:08

Feeling a bit more Christmassy now! Have put the tree up and put a little tinsel over the pictures.

Was MIL's birthday yesterday and just as we were about to go out for dinner ds vommed his entire bottle of milk, mainly due to the fact that he has a bad cough. Managed to get him settled and got to the pub only a little late. Ordered food and then got called back as he had woken up and was going mental. Had to have my food packaged up to bring home. By the time i got home he was back in bed asleep and didnt wake up until after we had gone to bed

Ella had a good night so am very pleased. Went down at 7.15pm woke at 11.30 and then 7.10 Am letting dh have a lie in this am as he doesnt get them very often.

Have taken a nice picture of the two bubbas in front of the tree. Ella is facinated by the lights twinkling. Ds is more interested in the chocolates

Have a few bits and bobs to do this weekend. Got to make some more Xmas cards for the family and have bought a gingerbread tree decoration kit for ds to have fun with. On Sunday i am going to Portsmouth to meet some of the girls from the April 05 thread. Meeting at a pub somewhere at 1pm.... LG&T are you around at all in the morning??

Hope you are all well x

barelymorethantwelvemonthgap · 08/12/2007 09:06

Oh Jesus. I'm having palpitations. I need to get some interweb shopping done or there'll be no presents this year. Seriously. I was going to go into town today (DH has been whining at me to get blinds for our living room windows for months), but DD1 has some theatre Christmas "show", which tbh, sounds like a load of crap (that's terrible isn't it) and I reckon they only put it on becuase Theatretrain is so farking expensive. It's £250 a term or something hideous. This is her first and only term. It's a pointless rip off. Anyway, I digress... That's on at 11.30 to 1pm or something, so I'll have to go straight out. And maybe shop tomorrow as well. Next week I'll have to get the tree and decorate it - prob when everyone is out, otherwise DH won't let me up a ladder "in my condition" and I get a nervous twitch at the thought of anyone else ruining decorating it.

Oh bloody hell, I need to go to the local shops too, to order the turkey and ham.

Deep breaths. See I always say I'll be organised and I never am.

AChristmasMeadow · 08/12/2007 09:32

What you need is a SPREADSHEET
I have all the people i need to buy for listed, then how much my budget is, then a box to write either ideas or actual present - so that i dont forget who i got what for when it comes to wrapping them - then the actual cost, and finally how much over/under i went. Then it all totals up. I have had to buy for 54 people and had a budget of £1100. I am £200 under, so very pleased with myself

The theatretrain, are they the same lot that did the last awful performance you went to?

Ah yes yuo need to get the cotton wool out again and start wrapping yourself in it for the next 7/8mths
