I think all that talk of superheroes made us all a bit feisty

OP posts:

I thought it was a good website Daisy. Wondering if I'm too old for it all though. Too big for the clothes even if I wasn't too old, but might get myself some accessories.

upsyderlor · 14/10/2007 21:37

thanks for the update on Natty daisy.
we are going to the seal life centre in Loch Lomand tomorrow - that's not as exciting as you lot but it's currently as good as it gets!

IamDaisy · 14/10/2007 21:38

SG, I did a five hour drive with DD when she was 9 weeks old. She slept pretty much all of the way, but woke up a couple of times when I stopped for food/the loo, so i popped her on the boob and did a quick nappy change. It was fine, less hassle than 5 year old DS....

upsyderlor · 14/10/2007 21:38

Daisy, when i changed my name i lost my profile, how did you manage to keep yours?

LittleMissNorty · 14/10/2007 21:40

Oh just went onto FB to see if any new photo's and realised I'd been included in a scrab game...sorry...didn't know...have played my turn now (still crap at it)...Holly...your turn!

Oh Derlor, do you live near Loch Lomond...I love it there!

LittleMissNorty · 14/10/2007 21:40

overnight on a boat.....bleurgh...you are brave!

frumpyflabbyfurryfarfromfoxy · 14/10/2007 21:42

have done it the old fashioned way - cables everywhere! Still at least I can get some food shopping done.

Fury where would you be based if you worked for the Beeb?

Those of you with internet problems, does your internet connection just drop out, it loses the IP address and refuses to reconnect? Do Sky technical help tell you to contact the manufacturer of your PC?

LO just gone to bed. 9.30 is a good bedtime. Topped her up with some EBM, and she got some time with me (admittedly on the phone to Sky) and DP (admittedly watching Rugby). She seems to quite enjoy sitting with him watching the game. Suppose she's resigned to it already

Right, off to find a local SW meeting. And do my shopping. Will be lurking.

BTW Thanks everyone. I 'heart' you.

milkyJammy · 14/10/2007 21:44

I should go to bed. Night all

IamDaisy · 14/10/2007 21:46

night jammy..

derlor, if you go to "my registration", then to "set up public profile page", there is a link to "profile mover" just above the profile box. You click what name you want it moving from/to, and bob's your uncle. xx

dogtanian · 14/10/2007 21:46

Daisy's turn!

Well done foxy, you've just reminded me to do the food shopping! Let's hope Tesco.com is working, it wasn't the other day, made me !

IamDaisy · 14/10/2007 21:50

I'm on to it.

I've run out of wine

am giving up drinking....going totally on the wagon....please help me stay strong.

LittleMissNorty · 14/10/2007 21:51

Plenty of wine here after yesterdays trip........not bringing any back from Belgium then Daisy?

frumpyflabbyfurryfarfromfoxy · 14/10/2007 21:53

I've just gone onto Tesco, seems to be OK. Trouble is I can't think what I need (everything), we've got people staying next weekend and I can't think that far ahead.

Have got a particularly shitty week this week. DS1 has to go to hospital for an op on Weds - on his willy . Haven't told him yet. Poor mite.

Things aren't great. Nothing major, just hard work. DP is being great, and has said he'll do more, but there's not really more he can do. We've had a quick chat. He has been away a fair bit, and thats cool - he's been having a good time and I don't resent it at all, as long as he realises he can't make demands on me because he feels good about himself. IYSWIM. Because that will cause a row which may tip me over the edge.

LittleMissNorty · 14/10/2007 21:56

Oh Foxy ...poor DS1...does he have to stay in?

As far as Tesco's goes, just chuck a load of stuff in your basket and check out...you can add to your order during the week, right up till 4am the day it's being delivered.

Don't forget to go here to get some money off!

upsyderlor · 14/10/2007 21:56

Thanks Daisy, i'll try that - i've played my scrab move BTW.
LMN - we're about 1 1/2 hour away from Loch Lomand actually but, it's worth the drive

IamDaisy · 14/10/2007 22:02

poor DS foxy. will it be a general anaesthetic?

I hope your DP is understanding foxy.....again I'm in awe of how well you cope with him being away a lot.

I'm really tired and want to go to bed, but need to wait for the washing machine to finish as I have no muslin squares or clean bras and need to get the drier on before I turn in.

upsyderlor · 14/10/2007 22:06

poor Foxy, hope all goes well for him x
get a good night sleep if you can - i think you need some well earned rest x

upsyderlor · 14/10/2007 22:06

yeah it worked, thanks Daisy

LittleMissNorty · 14/10/2007 22:07

I'm off now...dog snoring has made me feel knackered...night all x

upsyderlor · 14/10/2007 22:10

IamDaisy · 14/10/2007 22:11

aah foxy just seen about your ds poor thing their willys are so sensitive aren't they

HellHathNoFury · 15/10/2007 07:54

morning all!

foxy not sure...just the normal Beeb offices, they are in White City aren't they? Or shepherds bush... can never remember

Bumperlicious · 15/10/2007 07:55

morning all. sorry to disappear off last night but had another feeding blip, which consequently led to an argument with dh. he feels v out of control with the feeding as he can't feed her unless I have ebm, but if he has to use ebm that's one less lie in of early night for me, so i get cross. he can't do right for doing wrong really, bless him. I might have to seriously consider mix feeding. it might be the only way we can carry on.

foxy for your little ds. can you let him pick out a nice present to take in with him?

no sky here but bt vision which is fab when t works, which it doesn't at the moment coz bt forgot to change our address over . should be back on today.

now the dilemma, should i go to Mellow Monday at the commuity centre, which sounds fab but starts at 9? or do i just stay in bed with lo and the laptop?
