I think all that talk of superheroes made us all a bit feisty

Hi SG....good to see you back (used to be Charlie)

HellHathNoFury · 14/10/2007 21:02

WOW SG SW seems to be working for you!!

I am just not sure I can be bothered with all the faff, I am so busy I am wondering if I will be able to prepare the meals? How does it work for you, is it easy to do day to day?

Sky BB is poo but yes it is V popular because of the cost. I am interested in sky talk - you will soon be able to rent the line wholesale so no more BT required, and you get unlimited calls for free, included overseas!
I wonder if I will get in trouble for saying that

fairyfay · 14/10/2007 21:03

Norty - version 7

upsyderlor · 14/10/2007 21:03

evening all
mmmmmm your roast dinner and stew talk made me hungry, we just in from frankie & bennys as well, had a lovely pepperoni ann mozzeralla stuffed chicken YYYUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMM - (think it was about 100 WW points though , oh well never mind!)
We getting sky HD installed on Wed - DH VERY excited, refused there BB though cause saw on watchdog that it was shitey shitey.
I use karvol plug in's too for chesty snuffly babies/children - they are FAB.
Foxy for you and your big bad mood. have a (((((((((hug)))))))) and a hotel chocolate treet from my new box

dogtanian · 14/10/2007 21:03

I am a sky VIP customer so I get really good service apart from my sky + box keeps breaking and they keep charging me £60 a time to replace it. Bastards! Might try and call their bluff and say I'm going to Virgin, see if they will replace it for free. I'll call them to see if I can get a replacement BB box, but I think I'll wait til after the postal strike!

Blondenomore · 14/10/2007 21:03

Charlie

upsyderlor · 14/10/2007 21:04

anyone heard from Natty recently??? she's vanished huh

HellHathNoFury · 14/10/2007 21:05

Holly how did you pull off VIP? Normally you have to work there...or be James Murdochs secret lover

milkyJammy · 14/10/2007 21:07

Evening all!

Feel far from ready to go on holiday tomorrow. But I've got a list of what we need to take and the main thing holding us up now is waiting for the washing to dry. Once that's done should be able to bag up some clothes and DD's last bits fairly easily. And as DH keeps telling me we don't need to leave until lunchtime.

We had an easy dinner of fish cakes, baked potatos and beans. Didn't feel up to doing a proper roast what with doing all the washing and organising for tomorrow. But reading about all your lovely dinners made me feel quite

dogtanian · 14/10/2007 21:07

I have been secretly shagging Murdoch for some years!

Seriously though, I won the subscription in a comp a few years ago and they put me down as a VIP. I love the VIP engineers, I always talk to them about famous peeps!

Blondenomore · 14/10/2007 21:08

Derlor, its a comfort that I am not alone and that our DDs are 'cloned' - thankfully we have had a scribble free day, what I can't understand is that she has never drawn on anything until now - at 4.5 years old!! And she knows she shouldn't aaaarrrrrgggghhhhhh!!!! So instead to day when FIL + partner here she pretended to be a baby and lay underneath DS playgym and tried to sit in his bouncer chair

LittleMissNorty · 14/10/2007 21:10

Fairyfay - DH is thinking about it (whilst watching the rugby )...will let you know if he comes up with a solution!

We've got Sky HD and its fab - Strictly come dancing is great on it although DH is the one that uses it most for the sport (of course!)

On our last Sky + box, when it went wrong I accused Sky of being on a money making exercise by getting their boxes to last approx 14 months and how they were money grabbing gits....and I got a free engineer's visit (£65), so they can waive the charges if they choose!

Blondenomore · 14/10/2007 21:11

Holly, am glad I took the time to read the full explanation there as I was seriously worried for a mo (recalling so convo so time back )

HellHathNoFury · 14/10/2007 21:11

Nice one!

I got it by agreeing to participate in a test run when I worked there last year, I got sky world free for a year but it expires soon.

Working there is fun, you do see a few famous faces but nothing major exciting. My contract expires there soon but if I don't get renewed I have a job waiting at the BBC with an old friend... but I'd prefer to stay at Sky, the commute is easier.

upsyderlor · 14/10/2007 21:11

SG, mine does that too, i'm constantly telling her to get off the farking bounby chair!!
and she recently decorated the walls with green felt tip pen
Go on Holly spill.....gossip please

milkyJammy · 14/10/2007 21:11

Aww, BNM, I'm sure it's annoying and all but your daughter pretending to be a baby does sound rather cute as well. Has she realised that babys always get loads of attention and is trying to make sure that she doesn't miss out?

Blondenomore · 14/10/2007 21:11

I feel left out I have no sky or cable just crappy freeview.

HellHathNoFury · 14/10/2007 21:12

Sky+ boxes are notorious for being rubbish but the HD ones are pretty good

upsyderlor · 14/10/2007 21:13

Jammy where you off to?

milkyJammy · 14/10/2007 21:13

No sky here either Freeview and a Tivo works for us

Blondenomore · 14/10/2007 21:13

Must have been separated at birth in a previous exsistence Derlor little Minxs!

fairyfay · 14/10/2007 21:13

Blondenomore, my DD (age 2) does the baby thing too - she's started climbing into Ds's carseat, laying under his baby gym and crawling around on the floor. Most annoyingly she has also started trying to copy his cry, to get attention. I'm hoping it's just a delayed reaction to having a baby brother (who to be fair she does adore).

LittleMissNorty · 14/10/2007 21:13

Oh bugger.....reading your post MJ made me remember I've got washing in the tumble dryer that I need to get out and put away.....have a good holiday....where are you going?

Back when I've sorted out washing...a woman's work is never done..............

milkyJammy · 14/10/2007 21:14

We're going to a cottage down near Bath, Mon-Fri. And they have internet access!

HellHathNoFury · 14/10/2007 21:14

righty ho I am off to bed.

Have a nice evening all!
