I think all that talk of superheroes made us all a bit feisty

Hello all!
I am soooo tired

milkyJammy · 14/10/2007 17:06

whyso?

riabutterflew · 14/10/2007 17:10

it's just the stuff out of the SW books I scanned LMN.

hi fury, have you had a good day?

milkyJammy · 14/10/2007 17:54

ew, an hour after she finished feeding, while sitting on my knee looking all around DD just puked all over my skirt

HellHathNoFury · 14/10/2007 17:55

Hello Jammy, ria!

Yes it's been good, I went shopping with my HV/now good friend. She is having gastric bypass soon to help her conceive and is very low so I took her out shopping and for some lunch to cheer her up. She's lovely.

DS was really good today, was very pleased with him. How has your day been?

LittleMissNorty · 14/10/2007 17:58

Eeeww MJ...luvvverly

My LO has just had a bath with daddy and is all gorgeous and scrummy again

She feels / sounds like she has phelm on her chest but won't cough or puke it up....seems perfectly ok in herself....does anyone thibk I should worry about it?

fairyfay · 14/10/2007 18:52

riabutterflew · 14/10/2007 18:52

I wouldn't worry unless it upsets her LMN, so long as she's happy & feeding ok? maybe some junior olbas oil by her bed at night?

Bumperlicious · 14/10/2007 18:53

ok, stew is stewing, baby feeding, wine is breathing...

tomorrow i'm going to mellow monday at the community centre. apparently you do things like indian head massage and make lavender bags!

Did you manage to cheer your friend up fury?

fairyfay · 14/10/2007 19:01

Bumper - the stew sounds delicious!

My DS has a cold too. I've been using a Karvol plug-in and it seems to really help.

Sorry to ask but.... those of you who have an idea about computers or have DPs who do, please can you help me:

I somehow seem to have set my computer up so that if i click on a link it won't open. The only way to open it is to right click and select 'open in new window'. It's really annoying - is there an easy way to change my settings? thank you

HellHathNoFury · 14/10/2007 19:19

I asked DH but his solution is 'google it'.

He's a programmer, believe it or not.

Yes I cheered her up bumper we had a nice time! She is really low though as she is desperate for a baby

HellHathNoFury · 14/10/2007 19:21

AARRRSSSSEEEEEEE

Not only did we get a wildcard mail strike and we haven't had anyh post in FOREVER, now my email server thing is broken and I haven't been able to log in all day!

GRRRRRRRRRR

fairyfay · 14/10/2007 19:21

Thanks fury, I will try that

It must be awful to be so desperate for a baby and spend your working life with them all day.

Bumperlicious · 14/10/2007 19:23

thanks for posting that thread faylisa.

HellHathNoFury · 14/10/2007 19:24

yes I really feel for her, she looked like she kept wanting to cry.
Trouble is she is pretty big and also has PCOS so it will be a hell of a battle for her every step of the way.
She is lovely though and I will do what I can to help, even if it's only drag her kicking and screaming to the shops!

fairyfay · 14/10/2007 19:44

I'm sure she appreciates it.

I have a friend with PCOS who had been trying for nearly 5 years. She had IVF which was successful first time and has just had a gorgeous baby boy so it is possible, but I'm sure that doesn't make her feel any better.

HellHathNoFury · 14/10/2007 19:49

I think it does.. she is pretty positive. But the won't help her for the PCOS until she gets more control of her weight.

I think I am a jinx... my sis is in the middle of IVF, and me 3 good girlfriends either have PCOS or endometriosis and are seing consultants about IVF...

IamDaisy · 14/10/2007 19:53

evening...

had a lovely day with the PILs today, but mailnly cos MIL took DD out for a walk in the buggy for over an hour I got the usual..."so, is she on a bottle yet?" question from MIL closely followed by "you just don't know how much they're getting, do you?"

DH and I did a massive clean and sweep of the house this morning and we just shut the door on the two rooms that we didn't get in to.

DD has been teething all day today, and the tooth that first erupted a tiny bit the other week has popped right out now. She's been batting at her ear all day, and chewing on anything she could get into her mouth. She started screaming after chewing on a lumpy hard teething toys for about 10 mins just before bedtime. It made it's presence felt when feeding her too!

foxy, lol at your namechange, but agree with bumper. how about fabulousfantasticfarfromfrumpyfoxy?

We had a big roast pork dinner with all the trimmings and DHs special onion gravy for dinner today. I did the most perfect roast spuds I've ever cooked....it was fab.

fairyfay · 14/10/2007 19:57

Drool at the roasties Daisy, mmmmm. I had toast for dinner , but we did have a lovely chinese for lunch

dogtanian · 14/10/2007 20:02

AIBU to buy another pushchair?!

fairyfay · 14/10/2007 20:08

DOgtanian, depends why you want it and how lovely it is.

Bumperlicious · 14/10/2007 20:10

yes holly, step away from the computer!

my stew was ok, a bit bland though, despite a bouquet garni and red wine. any tips on livening it up a bit?

Bumperlicious · 14/10/2007 20:13

argggggh dd won't feed again!

fairyfay · 14/10/2007 20:15

Bumper, I always add a good spoon of Bovril or a Bovril stock cube and lots of onions to make my stews a bit richer. Other than that, no tips I'm afraid
