Couldn't help it!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
bethoo · 11/12/2007 12:56

my dad is a buggar! he just called me and asked me to go onto www.cutewithchris.com and there i am with my dogs! if youo look and click where it is underlined you will notice my pic has been defaced! my dad said he would tell me the address then hang up! that is my 15 mins claim to fame, something about 2 million hits a day or something daft!

foxcubinapeartree · 11/12/2007 13:59

Piff can you do a link for us lazy ones?

Bethoo you look gorgeous!! Deffo ditch that freeloader and cultivate the lush SA guy. Even if you don't end up with lush, he could be a stepping stone away from your DP

I have a cure for babies who fall asleep on breast. I now BF Monti and then when I put him down and he starts to howl for the nip, I quickly hand him a little bottle of formula. He takes one sip then falls asleep. He doesn't evendrink it but just wants to know its there - rather than insisting that I am there.

DeathBySnooSnoo · 11/12/2007 16:38

piff's thread

KITTYmaspudding · 11/12/2007 17:58

Kittywise....... hmmm makes me sound all matronly, if I had big bosoooooms I'd be pushing them up
Piff I'll look at your thread.

foxcubinapeartree · 11/12/2007 18:42

LOL Kittywise - as someone with matronly boobs I appreciate the image!

Piff will look at your thread

KITTYmaspudding · 11/12/2007 19:05

Yeah but Foxy you know what I look like

AmieR · 11/12/2007 19:42

I forgot how much you guys chat

Joseph's a fussy eater at times, you have to catch him just at the right time to try something new, but we're getting there, slowly. We had a nightmare introducing lumps!

No war wounds to report yet, but I am pretty sure we will have. Had a close encounter with a tub of celebrations earlier. Not that the dog minded.

MerryXMoss · 11/12/2007 20:09

Bethoo you are beautiful and sexy and gorgeous. I am a bit but it is true. Not that this is the be all and end all but seriously you could get a better man just by clicking your fingers I'm sure. And your SA guy sounds lovely, even if just for a little flirtathon!

Your doggies are gorgeous too!! And what fantastic names they have!!

Piffle I've posted on your thread, if only to show my complete ignorance of the matter.

Foxy are you still putting crusha in Monti's formula? I told dh about this (in an "isn't that funny?" way) and he was all "that's terrible blah blah blah". He thinks he is an expert on baby nutrition now you know.

He's doing my head in a bit, and I know he shouldn't be, but...

.... well you all know he didn't bond with Bertie for ages and ages and was being a complete a*hole? Well while he was off work with his squash injury he finally bonded with Bertie and now he rushes home from work each day to see him whenever he can. And now, he's getting really cross with me because I'm off out with Bertie this Saturday all day (he is invited but it's all my girly mates so he doesn't want to come) and he has late meetings this week in work so he will really miss him.

And now he's banging on about how I should ask him if I want to take Bertie anywhere of a weekend as it means he won't see him...

...I know it's great they've bonded but I had six effing months of dh practically ignoring ds and now I should just roll over?

LunarSea · 11/12/2007 20:40

985 messages now - time for a new thread soon?

Do you think it would be unreasonable if I cancelled Christmas - or at least postponed it for a few weeks? dh is away abroad during the week almost all the time now - leaving me effectively a single parent with a more than full time job. I haven't bought half the presents, have wrapped virtually none, haven't written let alone posted cards, still have to make ds1's costume for his school performance, and now school have asked for cakes to sell at the performance too.

AmieR · 11/12/2007 20:50

Can I join you Lunar? I'm no where near ready for Christmas, we're looking at shopping next thursday!!! Who knows when I'll be wrapping?

Not unreasonable.. I think sensible!

foxcubinapeartree · 11/12/2007 21:31

Good idea Lunar

Mossy LOL at your DH suddenly being the baby expert. Mind you its a good development isn't it? Embarassed to say its a teeny bit of Strawberry Nesquik "seasoning"

DeathBySnooSnoo · 11/12/2007 22:04

foxy-crusha is available at normal supermarkets in the same place as the nesquick.well,it is in tesco+asda,i dunno about posh supermarkets

mossy-@your dh!sounds like he cant make his mind up and won't be happy whatever the situation.ah..he's a pisces, yes?apparently i'm 'never happy',and always find something to moan about no matter what dh does.which is true.my advice to you is just ignore him and go about your daily business knowing that he will never be satisfied whatever you do.

dd1 and i were in the opticians yesterday and the woman asked dd what father xmas was bringing her.she was met with a teenage-esque sarcastic look and a 'erm,he doesnt exist'.

Piffle · 11/12/2007 22:13

crusha has artifical sweeteners, not good for babies IIRC. I am a bit of a harridan about sweeteners, they are banished from our house

what did I miss why do you give nesquik and crusha?

What am I missing?

DeathBySnooSnoo · 11/12/2007 22:51

piffle-fox was on about putting a little nesquick into monti's formula as he wasnt drinking it.i said that i dont give my dc milkshake powder as i find it very dehydrating and mossy pointed out the nestle connection also,so crusha was suggested as an alternative.

good point about the sweetners, though,i hadnt thought of that.i don't let dd1,ds2 or dd2 have anything that contains aspartame-particualy dd1 and ds2 as i would be peeling them off the celing

did i mention there is a vanilla flavour follow-on milk available, organix or Hipp or such like?i havent tried it but somebody mentioned it on a 'my baby wont drink milk' thread.

bethoo · 12/12/2007 11:05

i think that our babies are old enough now for follow on milk. i am still bf and am too lazy for making up formula, am fearful that will not make it correctly as well as just lazy!
i have been described as a MILF on the comments page of that site i am on and other nice comments like my ample cleavage (if only they saw me now!)

Piffle · 12/12/2007 11:29

ahhh I see now

what about a simple juice like apple? Tis very sweet perhaps?

Finn my darling is back to his normal sleep patterns 7-11-5-7/8
Phew
DD improving, but off for rest of the week
Dp still off waiting for AB's to kick in as he has sinusitis - had to have him sleep in spare room as his noisy breathing/snoring/coughing/thoat clearing was keeping me awake
so well slept well
DS1 came down with it last night hig temp and sore throat and headache. And I came down with conjunctivitis.
So been to docs and we're all dosed up

Am sending dp out to get xmas tree today we all need cheering up!

Piffle · 12/12/2007 11:31

horlicks do a strwaberry pink milk with no sweeteners and not nestle....
we buy it for dd
worth a look? Or evne normal horlicks

bethoo · 12/12/2007 12:43

Piffle- your family certainly are going through the wars at the moment! hugs

Piffle · 12/12/2007 12:53

Have to confess I burst into tears last night when I got the conjunctivitis and seeing ds1 sick as well.

Just feeling very beleagured and overwhelmed atm
Need more rest I think....

bethoo · 12/12/2007 13:04

Piffle - you certainly deserve a rest after what you have had to deal with recently! you have had to deal with so much in such a short time. i am sure the worst is over and you can soon go back to normal!! more hugs

Rosyrednosily · 12/12/2007 14:44

Piffle

Piffle · 12/12/2007 17:06

ooops drink was ovaltine not horlicks

Have seen that thread thx Rosy

foxcubinapeartree · 12/12/2007 17:15

Thanx for the advice Grrls

Totally agree about the sweeteners - they are the Devil's work and highly carcinogenic (Aspartame certainly is - when it was teseted on rats they all got brain cancer)

Might try Horlicks but the organic Vanilla milk sounds even better Snoo

Piff - my aim is to fill his tum - if I give him a wee bit of formula (about 3oz) he sleeps for 2-3 hours. If I don't he wakes me hourly. So he gets one FF a night - sometimes he doesn't need it. But he won't drink it "straight" - the vanilla stuff sounds yummy. He loves rice pudding and stuff so I think he'd like vanilla.
y
I am guilty of buying Nestle stuff - I hate myself for doing it but they produce so many cereals the DCs love I know they are evil capitalists responsible for 10,000 baby deaths per, year

My other point was about nipple dependancy. The one good by product of the ff is that now Monti is happy to cuddle his bottle to fall asleep rather than hanging off my nips all night long. So I wake, BF him, then stuff the bottle into his hands (it has handles). He falls asleep instantly and I take it off him.

foxcubinapeartree · 12/12/2007 17:18

Ovalteenies

Bethho what is a MILF? Is it a Santa's Elf with an ample pair of boobs?

Piffle · 12/12/2007 18:35
