trendaverter · 22/08/2007 21:41

faylisa · 22/08/2007 21:55

night night all - maybe tonight will be the night for those of us whose lo's still haven't slept through (she says hopefully....)

loonylovegood · 22/08/2007 21:57

Finally got my cereal and I come back and everyone's gone!

Night then!

TA I'll message you in the morning xxx

justbeme · 22/08/2007 22:09

Oh night all!!
No Faylisa - mine wont be tonight! Lucys crying as I type - please dont let this be another screaming session until 1:30 like the other night

oh and the joys of motherhood - today whilst shopping - saw a poor mum who was potty training and her little boy in the middle of an aisle had obv. told her he needed a poo - cue potty and ... oh a near miss of a messy turd sliding down the side of the potty, onto the floor, over his clothes..... shoppers scurrying past, holding their noses (It was v smelly!!) - oh we've got all this to come!!

trendaverter · 23/08/2007 07:19

Oh JBM that's awful

Tena do adult size nappies don't they? DS is sorted then

My poor little man is teething really badly now, for the last week or so he's just been sore and grizzly, but this morning he woke up screaming (not like him, usually he just grunts a bit), the bed was covered in drool, I offered him a bottle and he screamed even more

Gave him some pain relief and a dummy and he has fallen asleep again. Poor little sod Little does he know his day is about to get worse, he has his jabs at 10.30

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/08/2007 08:16

Aw TA, bless the wee soul. Ask the HV about his teething. She might be able to suggest something.

When DS was teething he liked to suck on something cold, but he was older and could hold on to something. If you can still get those gel filled teething rings that you put in the fridge it's worth getting one of those, but sitting with hi holding it in place might get a bit tedious!

Good luck with the jabs....either have the calpol at the ready, or as andiem suggested, give a dose either with or before the jabs.

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/08/2007 08:18

Bleargh jbm...I never had anything like that with DS on the potty training front, but then again, he was in full time nursery at two so I never saw a poo except at weekends....and the nursery pretty much did the potty training for me!

..well there has to be some justification for their exorbitant fees!!!

faylisa · 23/08/2007 08:57

yeuch! I have all those joys just around the corner as DD is 2 next month - really not looking forward to dealing with all that poo

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 23/08/2007 09:08

TA - your poor little fella
PMSL at the tena nappies tho!!

Well my little one did his first whole nights sleep without waking up at 4 am!!
He went to sleep at 8ish - I then tried to wake him at midnight and managed to get 2oz down him before he fell asleep again - then he didn't wake up till 6am! I'm so proud of him!!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/08/2007 09:12

woo hoo DKMA...do you feel like a new woman? ready to conquer the world? climb a mountain?

or just go back to bed for some more lovely sleep?

Have you started riding again yet?

trendaverter · 23/08/2007 09:13

WELL DONE DKMA!
Feels good doesn't it...DS has been a pretty good sleeper for about 2 weeks now, I keep waiting for him to go crap again, I am living on tenderhooks

bumperlicious · 23/08/2007 09:20

That's brill DKMA! Let's hope this is the start of a new pattern!

Hope DS's jabs go ok TA!

andiem · 23/08/2007 09:26

I hate you all(not really) another night of 2 hrly feeds GF would not be impressed I think we are in growth spurt land again his length is on the 91st centile and I think he is trying to get his weight to be the same

TA my lo has his jabs tomorrow morning not looking forward to it although I have done to many children myself does he use a dummy? if he does stick it in when the first jab comes the sucking helps them with the pain

Better have a shower milky smell lingers around me these days

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 23/08/2007 09:27

I'll have great expectations of 6 hours sleep every night now - wont I?

Not quite back riding yet Daisy. I was nearly there last week but my horse has a mad galloping fit out in the field with his mates and went lame - he's ok now though. He's so fat his legs prob cant take the strain when he runs about too much! Bloody hell he's going to have a shock when I get on him!

Not sure who's arse is the biggest - mine or his!?
If I went in his stable and bent over - you might not know which one was the horse?!!

trendaverter · 23/08/2007 09:27

Argh I am off to Essex tomorrow for over a week!
Have to go pack... I bet I forget something important like nappies, knowing me.

bumperlicious · 23/08/2007 09:50

LOL, TA last time I went to my mum's I forgot DD's bag with all her clothes, nappies etc. Fortunately I took a big bag of washing so had some clothes for her!

OP posts:
trendaverter · 23/08/2007 09:54

hahaha yep that'll be me

oooh shit here I am playing on the net and I have to take the grizzly one to the doctors, byeeeeee

andiem · 23/08/2007 09:55

ok milky smell gone.
am now trying to get lo to sleep in his cot during day instead of being taken out which is what usually happens ds though has just gone in and disturbed him why why WHY

riabutterflew · 23/08/2007 10:12

It is soooo quiet here. I think baggins is quite keen on being an only child

I had a spider in my bath last week that filled the wineglass I used to put it outside (while DH slept soundly). I took aphoto it was so bug!

I have too much to do to be playing on here. I will catch up later (coffeetime, lunch, tea, tonight?) and try to get on facebook tonight. I can't bear to miss all the fun!

annobal · 23/08/2007 10:34

Am at gym for some quiet time - boys in playtime and DS3 asleep...

then a screaming 2 year old comes and plonks himself on the adults computers while grandparents look on reading newspaper . I'm sooooo not tolerant! AIBU - I think so.

DKMA - well done on the sleeping, you must feel great. DS3 only woke up once at 3 last night so not too bad for us either.

TA, hope your lo is not feeling too bad after his jabs. Poor little thing with the teething - at least calpol should work for both!

Have a good day everyone - we're off to the accountants this afternoon - am a bit concerned that ds3 will want a feed while i'm there

foxybrown · 23/08/2007 10:44

Morning!

Have a word Annobal! Or "tut" loudly, at least.

Well done on the sleep DKMA, I had 3 good nights (obviously went tits up last night, but hey, easy come, easy go!)

JBM - I am shocked at the mother who let her child take a dump in the aisle! most decent shops will let you use their staff loos for a toddler, or at least look after the shopping whilst you duck out of the store. But having a poo in the shop? i second daisy's BLEUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRR!

BTW thanks for that link daisy - got one. love a freebie.

Am of you Ria!

sputnik · 23/08/2007 10:52

OMG JBM that poor mother must've wanted to go and crawl under the nearest rock.

Feeling pleeased with myself as I managed to bag a calvin klein bikini top really cheap on ebay, so at least my norks won't be flopping out on my upcoming holiday I'm now wondering weather the bargainness up the top half can justify shelling out top whack on figleaves for the matching bottoms.....
