I went into the porch last week and only just managed to stop DD from pushing the door closed behind me, and locking me out and her and Ds in!

riabutterflew · 22/08/2007 17:50

Wish I could go out for 4 hours and leave DH dangling in a lock - I hope he is going to do something more useful than sitting watching Dr Who. I may have to kill him...

bumperlicious · 22/08/2007 18:04

LOL ria! dh is home any minute & he is going to be handed dd as soon as he walks in the door!

Hey Ladies

Edietsuk.co.uk have just cancelled my account because I'm breastfeeding!??

They Sent me an email checking that the weight I'd entered wasn't a typo or a mistake as it was sooo much more than I was a year ago
So I replied saying that I'd just had a baby - and I am a fat bitch - and also could thay advise me how to modify the diet plan a bit as I was breastfeeding.
The reply was - we've cancelled your account and refunded you your money and don't re register until lo is 6 months?

Fcking Wankers - Do I have to be a fat bitch for 6 months?! Thats the only diet plan thats every worked for me (could't handle SW / WW etc)

Bumper - Yesterday I ran my fingers through my hair and a MASSIVE spider dropped out and landed on the kitchen worksurface! I SHIT myself and screamed my head off running around the kitchen flapping my arms and scrappling at my head !!

andiem · 22/08/2007 18:21

faylisa you should come I live in Kingston so we are close by each other would be good to meet

Daisy I am paranoid about leaving my keys and have left them in the door a man knocked and I answered with lo hanging off boob don't think he knew where to look

lo unsettled but is witching hour. dh needs to move cot into our room tonight as he is too big for his basket now I am growing a monster aargh will need forklift to carry him around soon.

sputnik · 22/08/2007 18:34

LOL at the forklift! I'm going to need one of those soon too!

DKMA, what a PITA can you not re-register with another name and pay with DH's credit card or something?

Faylisa, you absolutely have not butted in, it might seem like wew've all known each other forever but there's actually been a lot of coming and going on thiss thread

sputnik · 22/08/2007 18:37

Baby Sputnik has dimples on his cheeks!

daisyandbabybootoo · 22/08/2007 18:54

PMSL at leaving DH dangling Ria.....

at your spider DKMA. I would need tranquilisers after that. Although I must admit that since having DS I'm much better with them as I didn't want him to inherit my hysteria. I even held a tarantula a couple of years ago....but it was more like an eight legged gerbil than a spider, LOL.

Faylisa, you have not butted in to "our" thread. You have June baby so you are more than welcome. As sputnik said there has been lots of coming and going on here. It's nice that you have stuck around as we do seem to scare people off

foxybrown · 22/08/2007 18:57

aww, bless! Sputnik. Dimples are soooo cute!

Faylisa, no way have you butted in! will be very disappointed if you dont show up! I am nearby in sw london too - infact we were looking to move to your neck of the woods not long ago!

Bumper - same here with being tired but sleeping better. but i don't feel uterly exhausted any more - do you?

at your kind comments! or are you taking the piss??

[shudder emoticon at the thought of putting out]

bumperlicious · 22/08/2007 18:57

DH is back, and we are fighting coz we are both tired and fed up about the house. Does anyone have any experience of living in a flat on the first or second floor and managing with a buggy and baby?

DD has nearly grown out of her basket but it is all length as got her weighed today and she is only 9lb 14oz at 9 weeks, a tiddler!

bumperlicious · 22/08/2007 19:03

Foxy, it's a different kind of tiredness, it's hard to explain. It's like with the extreme exhaustedness of the early stages, it's shit but you run on adrenalin, but this is more a sleepiness that won't go away.

faylisa · 22/08/2007 19:04

Thanks for making me feel welcome! I will come along next week. Will be nice to put face (and real names!) to nicknames.

foxybrown · 22/08/2007 19:06

bumper. i did, if you can leave the buggy in the hallway or car its easier. with one its probably fine, but if you were planning to stay somewhere for a few years then might be harder with a toddler and baby - assuming you have another.

saying that, you will manage whatever. If you found the most fantastic flat, I don't think its a reason not to. Getting up and down the stairs would be a pain, but completely do-able.

daisyandbabybootoo · 22/08/2007 19:06

sputnik...dd has only one dimple...on the right hand side...just like her mum!

faylisa · 22/08/2007 19:30

DKMA - how annoying. COuld you set up a free hotmail or yahoo address and register under a false name, with DH's credit card???

faylisa · 22/08/2007 19:37

The way DS just watched me eating my dinner, I'd swear he was ready to be weaned already, and he's only 10 weeks old!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 22/08/2007 19:40

I don't know if anyone else is getting the LaRedoute advert on the right hand side of their screen - but I wish that skinny bint in the bikini would f*ck off!!

andiem · 22/08/2007 19:46

I know what you mean feel like lump o lard but just can't stop eating am thinking of buying these www.ilovejeans.com/product.php?id=313
what do u think?

faylisa · 22/08/2007 19:48

It's all very well there being 55% off the price, I'd need to lose 55% of ny body weight to even contemplate wearing it! Those jeans look great

BadZelda · 22/08/2007 19:55

Hurrah - early days but looks like we might have cracked potty training! DD1 did a poo before bed, instead of in her nappy!

R.e. being locked out...DD1 locked me in our garden a couple of weeks back, with her and DD2 inside the house...and I had no underwear on at all - just a house dress. Contemplated climbing up the drain pipe (a shortish shimmy) but rather awquard with no knickers on. I'd just enlisted the neighbour's ladder and climbing abilities when DD1 managed to unlock the door...cue sigh of relief and end of mad panic mode.

BadZelda · 22/08/2007 19:57

Oh and faylisa - nice to meet you. Should be coming to the horniman next week too.

daisyandbabybootoo · 22/08/2007 20:13

bumper when ds was born i lived in a 2nd floor flat with only on street parking. i used to double park (thankfully it was a wide one way street) unload the shopping, then park the car and bring ds back with me, take him upstairs, leave him in his carseat...or cot as he got older and go back down to fetch the shopping. i couldnm't leave the buggy
downstaires so had to bump it up two flights each time I went out.

then i moved to a maisonette with three fights up to it...very difficult if you were desperate for the loo...or your toddler was!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 22/08/2007 20:19

LOL BZ...i was thinking that was bloody quick, the child is only 9 weeks old ...then I realised you meant DD1.

My brain is going into meltdown today I swear.

trendaverter · 22/08/2007 20:22

Ah HA!

DS has been soooo miserable at feed times after about 4pm every day, I tried everything, different milk, teats etc, no luck... then I thought ah ha maybe teething, cue Boots teething granules and a bit of bonjela, 5oz goes down a treat

Genius

daisyandbabybootoo · 22/08/2007 20:32

I loved thise granules TA...and yu are remingding me that I must stock up on them. your DS seems really young to be teething, but maybe that additional "cooking" has got him off to a flying start! My DN4 cut his first tooth at 14 weeks though!
