Sorry, couldn't think of anything witty against a background of constant whinging!

BadZelda · 23/08/2007 16:15

I'm here, allegedly working.

andiem · 23/08/2007 16:30

we have just watched the most crap film called the reef. Poking myself with rusty nails would have been more fun ho hum tea time soon

annobal · 23/08/2007 16:36

Could it be as bad as Lazytown?

andiem · 23/08/2007 16:44

worse I think

annobal · 23/08/2007 17:25

Oh dear, cheese, apple and toast for dinner tonight. Won't win any awards with that one

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/08/2007 17:46

meant to pst this earlier...but forot...
will catch up now

Been prescribed thrush medication from the doctor, but she has only given me one oral tablet...I thought you needed to take them for 10 days???

Derlor?...anyone else???

She was a really young doctor and had to look up her book for doses etc...it doesn't exactly inspire confidence does it?

andiem · 23/08/2007 17:49

Hi Daisy there is a one dose tablet you can take of fluconazole which works can't remember the dose off hand but sounds ok

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/08/2007 17:49

I didn't miss much did I?

It's been a glorious day here . The thermometer in the car said 24 degrees earlier. And I've been indoors in soft play all afternoon.

But at least I got my nappies hung out to dry, and the poo stains have disappeared as if by magic ...ah well...simple things for simple minds!!

We're having egg and oven chips for tea, so not much better than you annobal!

justbeme · 23/08/2007 17:57

daisy have u tried pre fold nappies?
or heard of any one using cotton bottoms from tommee tippee?

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/08/2007 18:00

cheers andiem...just checked and it's one 150mg tablet.

The advice from BfN/NCT is 150-300mg loading dose followed by 50-100mg twice a day for 10 days.

I also have daktarin gel for my nips and nystatin suspension for LO.

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/08/2007 18:03

I haven't tried pre-folds. I was going to get some but was advised that they're best used as a booster in a shaped nappy as they aren't good for poo explosions. At least with terries you can do various folds which are said to contain it a bit better, but I've not had a poo in a terry yet, so can't tell you whether its effective or not!

justbeme · 23/08/2007 18:04

oh ok - report back when u have!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/08/2007 18:06

Just read that...I've not personally been wearing the terries you understand

JBM, I was looking at cotton bottoms in mothercare, but they look like flannelette and I was about how effective they would be as the kooshies i got from a friend which are also flanellette only last about 2 hrs max.

You could try posting on the nappies/potty training boards, there's bound to be someone who's used them.

sputnik · 23/08/2007 18:27

I have a couple of flanelette ones from imse vimse, they are crap.

For the record, I don't have the body for a bikini, but I don't care

annobal · 23/08/2007 18:40

Daisy, you can get a Australian Bush essence from Neils Yard that got rid of mine and DS's thrush called Green Essence. You mix a 30ml bottle of spring water with 5 drops of this and give baby 5 drops, 4 times a day and you take 7 drops 5 times a day. If you want to got the natural route this one worked for me. hth

justbeme · 23/08/2007 19:06

thanks have gone off the cotton bottoms now after reading a thread that they werent that good.

loonylovegood · 23/08/2007 19:35

Hope your boobs are better Daisy!

loonylovegood · 23/08/2007 19:35

loonylovegood · 23/08/2007 19:36

loonylovegood · 23/08/2007 19:36

loonylovegood · 23/08/2007 19:36

AAARRRGGHHH!! I've, not I'l!!

Charlie999 · 23/08/2007 19:37

Is it time for a glass of wine Holly?

lilQuidditchKel · 23/08/2007 19:37

the bamboo totsbots I used with DS (first child) worked really well. super absorbent, not too bulky, cleaned up really nicely, super soft and comfy (I think ).

must admit I stopped using em after a month though because he couldn't sleep with them on - wetness woke him up. Hail disposables and sleep

loonylovegood · 23/08/2007 19:37

I think it's time for the Prozac!

lilQuidditchKel · 23/08/2007 19:38

I've got a glass next to me ;-)

Only while I wait for the pasta water to boil, mind. Yeah right
