heee heee holly! you are a woman after my own heart. nothing like puking and passing out to be sure you've had a good time!!!

You know you will feel shite for the next 3 days, don't you?

loonylovegood · 29/07/2007 21:17

I am feeling better now than I did earlier. I could hardly even open my eyes or stand up, the room kept spinning!

We were supposed to be going to Alice's friend's birthday party this afternoon, but I felt so awful I couldn't face it. I feel really bad especially as I have left my phone at my parents' so haven't even been able to apologise for not turning up!

foxybrown · 29/07/2007 21:21

are you never, ever going to drink again?

loonylovegood · 29/07/2007 21:31

Well, not for a while! Booze is evil!

OP posts:
justbeme · 29/07/2007 21:33

Hiya!
Ohh Holly, I hate that feeling - was talking about the evils of excess alchohol to my 12yr old dd earlier - and saying to her - "You just need to know when you've reached that fine line between being happy and drinking so much that you end up being sick!"

Charlie - look after yourself - sounds like you need to be very careful right now.

Dont know if I told you that I went to the hospital on thursday to see the consultant?
Childbirth has shot my nerves down below to pieces and when asked to "squeeze" my various bits around his rubber gloved fingers! he looked abit when I told him "I am". So he's recommended Pysiotherapy (sp?) - havent got the appointment thru yet - but feel pretty shit about the whole thing.
I know it can effect your no 1's but I didnt realise it could do it to your no 2's! and whats the point of discussing contraception with me if Im not going to be able to feel anything for a while goddamit!
I wonder if this happens to many women? He reckoned it had nothing to do with my episiotomy as he said he didnt think it was to do with the muscle, only nerves.

foxybrown · 29/07/2007 21:33

that glass of cold white wine I just guzzled wasn't evil!

Why isn't my baby sleeping?!

foxybrown · 29/07/2007 21:37

JBM - that sounds awful. Feel very for you. is this as a result of the MW's care?

justbeme · 29/07/2007 21:40

hiya Foxy - well the consultant only said it wasnt the episiotomy. and I came out of the room thinking that same thought - and that I should have asked more questions - but I guuess I can ask my MW when she contacts me again.

foxybrown · 29/07/2007 21:43

how is everything else going?

justbeme · 29/07/2007 21:45

Oh foxy, I meant to say MANY thanks for your advice the other night -
Lucy had been crying since about 1600 and you suggested using the noise of a hairdryer - well I tried this at midnight - and guess what?! within minutes she fell asleep!! Fantastic!

we've not had such a repeat performance since - in fact she's been quite sleepy these last few days - so fingers crossed!

bumperlicious · 29/07/2007 21:46

Ouch JBM (or not as the case may be). If it's any consolation I seem to have lost control of my, erm how do I put this delicately? my bottom muscle...i.e. once it's decided to come out there is no stopping it. I really should do my pelvic floor (that includes your bum too apparently!)

Foxy, my DD is constantly feeding today and sleeping very little

On the plus side, I've bought some shoes today these, they are dead comfy and v glam!

justbeme · 29/07/2007 21:50

Like the shoes Bumper!
Thats part of my problem too - So have to make sure "Ive been" if I get a weird feeling there - otherwise it will be too late.
I swear my taking the p* out of my "Mil" is coming back to haunt me - 'cos it also happens with wind - no control - I'm like an old biddy - its not nice though. Its abd enough that your body doesnt feel you own after childbirth anyway......

foxybrown · 29/07/2007 21:52

you are welcome jbm - will be trying it myself tonight i think!

pretty shoes bumper! that's one weeks formula 'saving' spent!

bumperlicious · 29/07/2007 21:53

Yep, windy here too - keep blaming it on the baby! She is just as bad!

andiem · 29/07/2007 21:57

JBM just reading that has made me frantically do my pf exercises poor you. I had a very traumatic delivery very fast and was numb and swollen down below for ages. Seems to have got better now though. Mind you I tried to stop the flow of wee today and I wasn't very good at it so obviously need more work!

My lo has had one of thosee unsettled evenings and my boobs feel like they have been eaten to shreds so off to bed now for me need to give my norks a rest zzzzzzz

loonylovegood · 29/07/2007 21:58

Good old M&S!! The bestest shop in the world!

JBM that is not nice you poor thing. Hope physio sorts it out for you.

I really should go and see the dr about my bits! I was running yesterday to get out of the rain and I completely wet myself! Luckily I was wearing a dress and leggings so you couldn't see anything, but it was still ! I am a bit of a silly girl when it comes to the dr though, I hate people poking about down there, I haven't even had a smear yet (slap my wrist). That is a bit naughty really, one of my friends has had cervical cancer and she's not much older than me.

OP posts:
justbeme · 29/07/2007 21:59

yup - im off too - hope we all only get woken up once (yeh right!!)

foxybrown · 29/07/2007 22:03

am not joining in this convo, my 'front bottom' is fine, but oh my lord, piles

bumperlicious · 29/07/2007 22:04

I've got one more feed then DH is on express duty (yay!). Going to get ready for bed, night all x

foxybrown · 29/07/2007 22:04

holly, you've had 2 children - a smear is nothing! Get it done woman!!!

loonylovegood · 29/07/2007 22:07

TBH I'm not surprised my bits are shot! I did push out a giant baby in under 2hours!

OP posts:
loonylovegood · 29/07/2007 22:08

Yeah, but having a mw see your bits and a scary dr man are too different things! I am silly!

OP posts:
loonylovegood · 29/07/2007 22:10

Night bumper! I wanna go to bed, but my dad is here fixing my leaking toilet.

OP posts:
foxybrown · 29/07/2007 22:10

Do you have a practice nurse who could do it?

Its horrid having one when you've just had a baby I know. Last time I had one I said to the nurse 'I'm not looking forward to this'. Nurse said 'really? funnily enough I'm not either'. Cheeky cow!

foxybrown · 29/07/2007 22:14

LO is asleep - out of exhaustion, don't think she's restful. Could be in for a right old night. She seems cranky, windy and uncomfortable.

Am going to try to take her to bed.

Night everyone, sleep well. xx
