I love your thread Bumper! Genius! I've never thought of it like that. Can you hear my brain ticking over?

My HV told me that breast milk was 'priceless' as you can't buy it anywhere. That should give you some scope for a pair of shoes or ten!

My DD falls asleep to the sound of the dryer, but she is still a sleepy little thing. She either eats or sleeps. I reckon she might just be pretending to sleep to put her big sister off being in her face constantly

justbeme · 27/07/2007 21:58

back again!
yes have tried the walking round/jigging stuff - and her chair has the sound of waves crashing which holds her attention sometimes - but no, I fear Im just going to have to put up with it!!

Where is the Honiman btw?

am just going to go and watch Big brother - I may be back!!

foxybrown · 27/07/2007 22:00

forest hill/dulwich way. SE london. where are you JBM?

loonylovegood · 27/07/2007 22:01

I'm back, never got to bed. Ate cheese rolls instead!

Anyone got grand plans for the weekend? Shopping? Long lunches? Dancing?

Or attaching baby to norks and sweating, which seems to be how I spend most of my time at the mo.

loonylovegood · 27/07/2007 22:06

I am a big sweaty bear foxy!

I have a very busy weekend, which makes a change from sitting around all day! Going out tomorrow night (thanks to my secret beneficiary, I love you) and Alice's friend's birthday party on sunday! It's gonna be wild!

OP posts:
foxybrown · 27/07/2007 22:10

eurgh, its gross. i stink!!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 22:12

eurgh sweating. My white milking bra has lovely sweat (or it may be milk) stains at the band below the cups. no amount of washing gets it out...

...so I've just bought some flesh coloured and black ones.

does it ever get better?

bumperlicious · 27/07/2007 22:12

I'm with you one the sweating. Add no water this weekend when I go back home and that makes for a stinky momma!

loonylovegood · 27/07/2007 22:13

I hate it! The worst bit is underneath boobs, nasty soggy sweaty bra! Yuk!

OP posts:
daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 22:15

bumper are you allowed extra bottles since you're a nursing mother?

foxybrown · 27/07/2007 22:15

Wish I'd thought of getting flesh coloured ones. I'm having trouble getting milk stains out.

Am very of your night out with your bf Holly! I'd love to put on a pair of heels and go for a big night out. At least in theory

daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 22:17

And the added bonus is that DH detests flesh coloured underwear and thinks its the turn off to top all turn offs

loonylovegood · 27/07/2007 22:20

My boobs aren't leaking, which is odd. When I was bfing Alice I was like a cow, milk everywhere, always leaking. I could express about 5 oz at a time, now I can only get out 1 oz!

No heels for me foxy, my feet aren't quite normal yet! I shall be boogying in my ballet pumps (or just sat on a chair chugging as much booze as I can!)!

OP posts:
foxybrown · 27/07/2007 22:21

really? The sweaty-milky smell pretty much acts as a deterrent chez Foxy!! That and being sat in the same spot on the sofa with my norks out night after night...

mine don't really leak either, unless I touch them when I'm having one of my random let-down moments.

foxybrown · 27/07/2007 22:23

Righto, DD is asleep so better get her to bed. DS1 is also asleep on the sofa (he woke up and felt sad, apparently), so better get them and me to bed.

Night all.

Daisy (and Derlor if you are lurking) have fab, relaxing hols.

Hope tonight is better for you JBM

loonylovegood · 27/07/2007 22:24

Ooo, double post!

I think my dp would find me attractive if I put on 18 stone, didn't bathe for a week and wore a hessian sack! He is gagging for it! It is very funny watching him beg !

OP posts:
daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 22:25

Yup, I'm off too. DD needs waking as well, but DH is doing the through the night feed with EBM so I can have a good night's sleep!

I've sent an e-mail out to everyone on my list so will check in tomorrow for all your responses....

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/07/2007 11:59

where is everybody?

seansgirl and sputnik, the e-mail I sent you was bounced back. Maybe holly or foxy will forward it to you?

trying to pack but babyboo feeding like a mad thing so am glued to the sofa at the moment.
we will get there today, it might not be till midnight but we'll get there!!

See You all next week!!

Charlie999 · 28/07/2007 12:34

Have a good one Daisy - hope the weather holds out

Beautiful down here today

TALLULAHBELLE · 28/07/2007 12:40

Hi there. Have lovely hols Daisy. Will see you on the 10th. Have heard there is some sort of music thing on @ the Kelvingrove Bandstand that day - will try to find out more, but may be worth a look.

Thanks for asking about the feeding, it is going much better tho still painful. Am still going to QMH for support which has been brilliant. DD put on 250g this week -WITHOUT the aid of formula -yay!!!!Didn't stop DM from suggesting I try some baby rice IN HER BOTTLE!!!!WTF????

TALLULAHBELLE · 28/07/2007 12:47

Had a laugh at yr thread Bumper. Good idea to treat yourself, might suggest that to DH. Unfortunately when I total the cost of glider chair, nursing bras, nursing tops, breast shells, nipple shields, Lasinoh, painkillers, breast pads, hand pump, electric pump, bottles for EBM, steriliser, EBM freezer bags, Guinness, porridge oats, emergency formula & fares to & from support group -there's nothing left to spend!!!!

foxybrown · 28/07/2007 14:29

Hi Charlie and Tallulahbelle. Hope you got some rest last night.

Great news about your lo's weight gain T! And without formula - good for you!
