Me too. Today I had dinner with a baby hanging off my norks. glamorous or what. Now I'm wondering what to do with a whinging 3 year old who won't sleep. and I still have a baby hanging off my norks.

annobal · 27/07/2007 21:19

LOL Sputnik

Just had delicious dinner of chicken wrapped in parma ham followed by a mango. I am currently wishing I could have a little of the nesting instinct back again as I really need to tidy up the boys clothes and can't be bothered

Am going to watch the end of DIY SOS (yep, pretty boring here too) then go to bed.

Night all and sweet dreams!

loonylovegood · 27/07/2007 21:21

Did you drop dinner all over said baby? I always do that! The HV arrived one day and poor William was covered in bean juice from where I'd dropped my lunch on him and chocolate from where Alice wiped her mouth on him! Mother of the year award goes to me!

I'm off to bed too. Dp is pissing me off and I need to get away from him before he ends up punched!

LOL Holly. I found rice in DS3's hair tonight

sputnik · 27/07/2007 21:26

No but said baby just dropped (well puked) his dinner all over me

daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 21:29

sputnik....i think you misunderstand me, its not a need like a craving to iron....it's a need as in I have four ikea bags full of crumpled clothes and nothing in the wardrobes.

wish i could come to the horniman, it sounds fab.

foxybrown · 27/07/2007 21:30

ironing? you tumble dry and iron??

I binned my ironing board. Very liberating it was too

daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 21:34

i only need to iron cos i pull it all out of the drier and leave it in a crupmled heap. if i folded it neatly when still warm i wouldn't have this constant battle with it.

how's foxy this evening?

sputnik · 27/07/2007 21:34

I meant need as in you look at something, think "that needs ironing". Nah it doesn't, it really doesn't.

sputnik · 27/07/2007 21:37

(pictures Daisy fending off 4 ikea bags of crumpled laundry, iron me! iron me!)

daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 21:38

I've pretty much decided it can be packed as it is.

Waiting till tomorrow morning to do it though. The end of the day glass of wine was more important!

and I'm finally sewing buttons on the cardi I knited for DD before she was born!

daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 21:41

LOL sputnik

i think the answer is to stop buying ikea bags then i'll have nothing to put the laundry in so will have to put it away as soon as it's done

God I sound more than a little obsessive about it don't I?

justbeme · 27/07/2007 21:44

Evening!
Im going to post this then catch up-
Lucy is doing my head in today - its either feed or cry time.
She's been crying since about 1600hrs on and off and hardly slept in all that time.

Last night we had crying until god ..about 1:00 or so,
im using Infracol, tried swaddling but doesnt help, holding her high up on shoulder/turned round facing out /vibrating chair/cycling her legs/turned over on stomach/lots of jigging about - er think thats about it.
Any Ideas pls?? (dont really want to resort to driving her in car though)

foxybrown · 27/07/2007 21:45

could you just bung it back in the dryer with a damp towel and fold it?

i'm fine thanks! busy day, kids worn out, had my glass of wine. all ok

sputnik · 27/07/2007 21:46

I reckon the suitcase will flatten it out nicely. If it's still not behaving when you get there threaten to chuck it in the sea

Sorry, I'm not taking the piss really, just letting end of the day glass of wine number 2 run away with me. have a grat time btw, hope the weather gets better for you

foxybrown · 27/07/2007 21:47

have you tried tumbledryer/hairdryer noise?

daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 21:48

PMSL at Bumper. You have to admire her logic

JBM I wish I could help. We've had a couple of evenings like that, but thankfully no more than that.

You could try colief or there was another remedy that TA and Bumper were using but I can't remeber the name.

And Bumper had good results with the cranial osteopath I beleive.

Sorry you're having a horrible time of it. It will pass and in the meantime keep telling yourself you're doing a fab job!

bumperlicious · 27/07/2007 21:49
Blush
daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 21:50

LOL Foxy, I'm a bit tired and thought for one second you were suggesting tumble drying the baby.

i'm farking obsessed with laundering things....aaaaarrrrgghghghgh

bumperlicious · 27/07/2007 21:50

dentinox - dd hates it though, smells vile!

daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 21:50

so bumper what's it going to be then....a pair of Jimmy Choos??

sputnik · 27/07/2007 21:52

I've heard of white noise, vacuum cleaners etc, but a spin in the tumble dryer for a crying baby is a new one for me.

It's horrible when they do that isn't it. Have you tried walking around with her? Dancing?

bumperlicious · 27/07/2007 21:54

I wish daisy! Fotunately my tastes are a bit cheaper. I've seen some gorgeous faith shoes, they are not in store yet (well, not online anyway, I hope they are not old ones) but they were in the news of the world magazine. Pink patent courts with a ribbon tie, £55, approximately 6 weeks worth of formula I reckon!
