Always thought it was the beginning

daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 18:34

its a bit like contractions i think...from the beginning of one til the beginning of the next.

oh no a HV question and our virtual HV has gone on holiday...aaaargh

DD has napped and munched all day today, so the packing hasn't yet been done and my nipples are protesting. She grabbed hold of one and twisted it earlier....it was farking sore.

Got a new car-seat a maxi-cosi one, but unfortunately they were out of stock in red so it doesn't co-ordinate with my car anymore

bumperlicious · 27/07/2007 18:39

brill you are a star daisy. will check it out properly later. talking of feeds...

trendaverter · 27/07/2007 19:03

Daisy and Derlor away?! Who can we go to with problems?!

annobal · 27/07/2007 19:08

Hi everyone,

Foxy, I'm fine to meet up for both the 16th and the 23rd. Yay, it will be lovely to meet everyone!

I did my first outing with all 3 today. Not sure I'd cope too well if I were all by myself - running after a 2 year old while breast feeding is not my idea of fun!!

I didn't realise you were meant to time from the beginning of one feed to the beginning of the next. I time the other way around but only cos a feed could go for over an hour

annobal · 27/07/2007 19:09

You're right, TA, it should not be allowed

daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 19:09

you'll just have to ask Mumsnet, TA.....i only spout what I've read on here anyway...it could all be a heap of poo for all I know

DD has been on the same boob for nearly an hour and shows no sign of coming off. I don't know whether to swap sides or not, as she might not go back on if I do and she obviously needs it........HELP!!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 19:11

phew she's stopped. 55 minutes of constant sucking....my nipple is macerated

bumperlicious · 27/07/2007 19:14

I know that feeling daisy, when the bfing is hurting I don't want to take dd off as she gets hacked off then refuses it all together!

I had been timing by the end of a feed .

I hate to be a pain but though the week of the 23rd is a good week, the 23rd is DH's birthday so earlier in the week would be better as I will have to come and stay with my mum. Don't think we are going to please everyone though so go with the majority

daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 19:16

How do you think i feel as well....seven days with no mumsnet. I'll need to interact with my family FGS [grin}

But, the place we're going to is at the bottom of a cliffso has no phine reception, so I doubt it'll be geared up for wireless internet.

Think of me when I'm sat on the shore in the pissing rain oohing and aahing at every miserable pebble that DS is convinced is a fossil

annobal · 27/07/2007 19:19

How about the wednesday 22nd, bumper?

andiem · 27/07/2007 19:32

I can do 22nd as well

Have a great holiday Daisy

daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 19:52

How's this for holiday slovenliness?....

Absolutely nothing I want to take on holiday has been ironed. I am seriously considering just chucking it in the case and sorting it out when we get there...there is a washing machine and tumble drier in the cottage so am assuming there will be an iron as well

I really can't be arsed standing ironing for two hours tonight!!

sputnik · 27/07/2007 20:01

Sounds like a fun holiday daisy

daisyandbabybootoo · 27/07/2007 20:09

you're right sputnik...do i really want to spend my holiday ironing?

hell we can just wear crumpled clothes

annobal · 27/07/2007 20:11

Your holiday sounds lovely Daisy. I'd def go for the crumpled look, besides if they are tumble dried they often don't need ironing

loonylovegood · 27/07/2007 20:12

Ironing is for squares!

Evening!

annobal · 27/07/2007 20:13

Evening Holly, how has your day been?

Are you still up for a meet up at Hornimans? Either 16th or 22nd (or both)?

sputnik · 27/07/2007 20:16

Hear hear Holly
We will cure you of your need to iron yet Daisy.

"I am Daisy, and I'm an ironoholic"

Holly, i dreamt I came to visit you the other night

loonylovegood · 27/07/2007 20:16

Either date is good for me. I don't have an actual life, so am not busy! Can we make it early afternoon though as I'm gonna get the train and a ticket london is about a million pounds in the morning!

OP posts:
loonylovegood · 27/07/2007 20:17

Wow sputnik, I feel honoured! Did I do anything interesting in your dream?!

OP posts:
annobal · 27/07/2007 20:18

No problem Holly.

sputnik · 27/07/2007 20:20

It was a very boring dream, sorry. You didn't even dance on a table

loonylovegood · 27/07/2007 20:20

Can't wait to meet you all and your lovely dcs! The poor Horniman museum won't know what's hit it!

OP posts:
loonylovegood · 27/07/2007 20:21

I am pretty dull really, so it was probably quite an accurate dream!
