Gee Lups, you must be so wacked.

TYG, Glad you enjoyed Chamonix, it is beautiful, did you do the tobbogan run??????

Still busy here, I'm finding this thing with my friend very hard, my friend is now talking about waiting for her treatment because she wants to have some eggs removed and frozen before, so that she has the chance to have another baby later. I know she just feels robbed of the choice and I really feel for her, but it is very serious this cancer and she needs to start treatment next week. I'm sure she'll come round to it. We are trying to remind her that she has 3 wonderful boys and that she is THE most important thing at the moment. It's soooooooo hard, sometimes I don't know what to say. We had tears together last night on the phone. Her mum rang me this morning in tears too, she is so desparate for N to realise that she is more important than wanting another child.

AM, I hope you have a lovely weekend with Ella's christening. I bet c is twitching, lol bless! Mess, Mess, Stuff, aghhhhh can't cope, must tidy, tidy.............

Hey MrsJB - luckily we are having the party in a hall opposite the church so no mess in the house

Pebblemum · 24/08/2007 16:02

hi all

Just had my parents pop round to break the news that my Aunty (my mums sister) is going into hospital to have her breast removed but it is a very risky op as she is diabetic and also has a bad heart. They thought it better to prepare me just in case the worst happens. She had been diagnosed with cancer a while ago but due to her other health issues the Dr's held off operating for as long as possible, they didnt think the risk was worth it but now they have changed their mind. The cancer is growing faster now and without the op she only has months to live. The op though is very risky too and so my poor aunty has had to decide whether to spend her last few months making the most of what little time she has left or take a chance and hope they can operate successfully.

Im so glad she got to come down for a visit the other week. My mum doesnt get to see her much and hadnt spent time like that with her for around 3yrs. I know my mum is taking it quite hard but I feel so helpless. I tried to stay positive when she told me but deep down im as worried as she is.

Hi everyone!

I just want to say that my thoughts are with all the ladies that are going through rough times right now.

We are doing fine on this side of the pond. Even though it's been like 60 degree F. here. I feel like winter is almost here.

Cruz has decided that he's funny because he laughs at everything. Also a weird thing that happened today was when I was upstairs and the boys were downstairs. Cruz was in his bouncer seat and Mateo was playing with his trains. I walk down, and Cruz is covered with Thomas the tank trains, it was as if Mateo covered him strategically. I walk down and I say "Mateo, what did you do to your brother?" He just started laughing, and then Cruz started laughing. These two are going to be trouble makers I can tell.

Hi all,
MKG L has taken to covering M very snug in a blanket..very sweeet, but have to watch like a hawk as the blanket can get a bit near M's face at times.

Sorry-and much love to you also Pebble..seems to be the week for it..what a real bastard it all is..

juliewoolie · 24/08/2007 20:25

Hi everyone,

gosh what a week, after my little whoops a daisy am I up th duff and then my DP's back thing its been a bit of a week. Thankfully he's ok well in a lot of pain but the op for the moment os off he has slipped and torn a disc in his back and they are keeping him in for a few days to drug him to the eyeball in the hope that it will be ebough for the disc to go down and the tear to be more managable. Fingers crossed they will let him fly next week for our holiday personally I think its doubtful but he is insistent we still go.

Scoot god how awful I know someone who had bowel cancer and if treated early enough it can have a positive outcome. Thinking of you as I know exactly how you feel.

Mrs JB again horrible situation.

Pebble same to you hon.

Just remember that we are all here when you need to get things off your chest sometimes its easier to talk about things with people who are not directly involved so do talk to us when you need to.

AM hope the christening is lovely and you get some sleep tonight.

LW think babies have an inherent ability to be utter nightmares all day and then when someone else comes into the room they are little cherubs.

I know I have misses loads - sorry.

Enjoy the weekend everyone.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 24/08/2007 22:05

Thank you lovelies for your kind words, I will be thinking of you both too scoot and pebble with your friends. Life can deal some toughys to us.

N has been to see her consultant today, he managed to talk sense into her and she has accepted that there is NO time to wait, she starts her chemo next week. She feels a little more positive today, the consultant was very confident that although she has a very rare form of cancer it is treatable and that if it wasn't worth treating then they wouldn't put her through it.

Jorja is a porker pie, we have had to up her bottles to 7oz each feed now. Shant complain though, I feel lucky to say she is an angel, easy easy baby, sleep, eat, poo, smile, sleep and so it goes on. Good job really as there is NO way she would have got the attention she may have wanted from me with a house full this summer if she was a pickle.

Lups, Get some sleep love if you can.

night all, xxx

Mrsjaffabiffa · 24/08/2007 22:10

Sorry Julie, forgot to say, Sorry aboout your dp's back. I know what it's like my dh had an op on his back to repair 2 herniated disks in Jan this yr. Unfortunately he doesn't think it worked and is still having pain. I hope you dp get's better soon and is allowed to fly.
