Mum2G, welcome and belated congratulations. 16th is definately the best day to be born. our 2 share the same birthday, yey!!
Jorja is sleeping 12 hrs straight through. Not 7-7 though, sorry 7am is far too early in the morning for me. She does 9-9.

aprilmeadow · 22/08/2007 20:52

Have you managed to get M out of the car?

Welcome to MumtoG

Ella seems to be going from 7.30 to 6am then back to sleep til about 8.30/9am

Potty training is going brilliantly - even though nursery are doing the bulk of it - today (day 3) he only had one accident {proud mummy emotion}

Making the most of the 1/2 price listing on Ebay today. Have listed the rest of my maternity clothes, ella's 0-3mth clothes, nursing bras that are now too big {sigh, slowly getting to envelope status - would consider a boob job....} and anything else that catches my eye in the house that we dont need/use

Would love to come along to a meet up. Lupins, I can always pick you up....... getting my new car in a week and a half so we will all fit nicely - jack will be at nursery if its during the week. Mondays are not good as he is off

Mum2G · 22/08/2007 20:58

Hi Mrs JB, know what you mean about the 7am start - i am hoping he will sleep a bit later once he is older! George was born at 10.03am so he is definately a morning baby

Re meet up I can't do friday this week either as am off to MIL for bank hol weekend (can't wait! - three whole days of 'helpful advice'!!) Am free most other times though as am at home with George full time for a little while longer

Been having a look at all the piccies of your little ones - they are gorgeous!!

Lupins71 · 22/08/2007 21:12

Mum2G & MJB dp's bday is 16th lol - busy day!!

AM glad the potty training is going well, Re meet up - would love a lift, dd starts school on 5th would ideally like to be about for the 1st week to drop her and pick her up - any other time i am totally flexible

I have got about 2 sacks of stuff for ebay - have just packed up the stuff i sold the other day

SuperMonkey · 22/08/2007 21:14

6-6 or 7-7 works quite well for me because that's when DP is up and off for work (also the time I went before mat leave so I'm used to it), so I can be sociable and make his packed lunch . It also means we get the evening to ourselves, although it does mean DP only gets to see the boy (as he is affectionately known in our house) properly at the weekends.

largeginandtonic · 22/08/2007 21:47

Good lord i know this house is chaotic at the best of times but i may just have gone a little overboard on the stress over the last couple of hours.

The pork finally came out the oven at 630 but the cracklin was not crackly enough. Realised i had no apple sauce (horror) so sent DD out to find the twins for a shop run, Beau woke up and started yelling, twins wouldnt come home as they didnt believe her. I trudged out to round up all the boys, it started to rain, Beau still yelling in my arms. Neighbours came home (they have no children) and he mentioned a scratch on his car, possibly bike related, possibly my children.... Beau still yelling, he drives a Merc. Apologised if it was indeed one of mine (not likely) My auctions finished on ebay and suddenly every one had a question, answering one handed typing, Beau yelling, cracklin in the oven, twins at the shop, Hugo now falling asleep on the couch....

Tea on the table at 7pm. D' ya know i have not even opened the Vino yet or poured myself a G&T. May print out an award on the computer for myself

SuperMonkey · 22/08/2007 21:53

Phew!

largeginandtonic · 22/08/2007 22:06

Phew indeed, am reaching for a cold beer now....

SuperMonkey · 22/08/2007 22:26

Going for an early night - the boy woke at 10pm, guzzled 5oz of hungry baby milk plus a 10 minute breast feed then crashed out. Fingers crossed that's it.

MKG · 23/08/2007 00:43

LG&TI don't know how you handle it mostly on your own. I'v got my hands full with two but you with sixyou should be sainted!

My boys have become this one (Cruz) and that one (Mateo). I often say to dh you hold this one while I stop that one from dancing on the table. Ahh the terrible two's have arrived at my house.

Pebblemum · 23/08/2007 00:51

Great link LG&T Poor woman, 3kids is def my limit after reading that lol

South meet up sounds great any days ok with me. Had forgotten about that wine lol

Alana goes 12hrs without waking Would be great if ever i went to bed before 1am

Got my ebay working at last. Managed to list 12 things, only 61 more to go. PC started to slow down though so that was my cue to stop.

LWandLottie · 23/08/2007 01:49

Quicky before I throw myself into bed! Charlotte's been a frickin nightmare the past 2 days! She is sleeping through the night without waking, and getting up at about 9am which is fab. But during the day she goes from being my sweet little girl to this crying, whiny, not letting mum leave the room at all today monster! This is gonna sound so bad of me but I just don't have the energy for this episode she's having at the minute.

She's feeding like a trooper as well. Earlier she had a 6oz feed, 15 minutes later she was SCREAMING and nothing I did was working so I tried feeding her again. She drained a 4oz bottle. Another 15 minutes later she's leeting the whole town know she's not happy and she was hungry - again! She went through 14oz in just less than 2 hours. Tried giving her water in case she was just dehydrated and she was having none of it!Have got so much work to do and need to revise, but I can't because she is wanting constant attention and feeding since I got back from Bristol. Then my mum walks in from work and is like 'so what have you done today?' All the while I'm sat on the carpet shaking and twitching covered in baby puke. Oh but this is the best bit! Everyone gets home from work/school and she is LOVELY with them! My mum was like 'she seems fine to me!' I think my child is trying to make me have a nervous breakdown lol! She's out to destroy me I swear

Oh and to top of the ending to another crap day with her, she decided to piss all over me before her bath. My mum handed her to me for 2 seconds to run her bath and she peed - on me! What are the chances?!

Right I'm dragging myself to bed. Think I'm seeing spots, either from being too tired or too stressed. You just wait, I'll be on here tomorrow to report the fact she crapped all over herself and her bedding during the night and then refused to sleep anywhere but in my bed. Star-shaped so that I had to lie on the fecking floor!

aprilmeadow · 23/08/2007 08:47

Must have been something in the air (even though you are in Scotland) as Ella was a whinger as well yesterday. Couldnt figure out what the matter was. She was crying for most of the morning and refused to go sleep. Dh managed to get her to go off by sticking her in her car seat tucking her in with her blanket and rocking her. Think was was cold or even had a cold brewing. She seems much better/happier this morning, just hope it lasts as we have her 3rd set of jabs this afternoon.

Ds has just had a very interesting breakfast made up of cornflakes and yellow pepper!

LG&T that ebay item was soo funny, dh had a good laugh at it as well

Mum2G · 23/08/2007 09:00

Morning all, looks like gonna be a nice day here, well looks like it might not rain for a couple of hours at least yey!

I have got loads of stuff to put on ebay, since we moved in Jan we have got most of the unpacking done and loads of stuff has ended up in boxes in what i call the big shed, but the MIL calls the summerhouse! DH says i am not allowed to buy any more stuff until i have sold some of it, haven't sold on e bay before, so any tips would be great. Sad i know but i have a bit of a cushion fetish, i could open up my own shop with the amount of cushions i have got, course now George is on the scene i have to think machine wahable rather than touchy feely!

Glad to report that George slept his usual 7 til 4 instead of waking every two hours.

LW & Lottie, i know a little what it is like, i am a student too, and after having a break am due soon to get back to it, on a part time basis though, once i have found childminder or nursery care for a day a week - no family nearby - feeling very nervous about finding someone and leaving him but i know all mums feel that at first.

LG&T, OMG i don't know how you do it! i ran the idea of having six past DH last night, i had to slap him round the chops a bit to bring him round Thanks for the offer of a lift for the meet up that would be great!

SKYTVADDICT · 23/08/2007 09:04

Morning all

Hope you have a better day LW. C has days like that but we are lucky they are few and far between. Its so much worse when you need to get on and do things.

Just been watching a thread of mumsnet people meeting up near me today and think I will join them next time. Can't make it today as meeting two mums from HV baby group for coffee this morning.

Haven't left the house for 3 days but got a lovely tidy house and feeling quite rested. C fed at 4am again though!

LG&T - hilarious e-bay notice!

Lupins71 · 23/08/2007 09:35

LW&W do you think she could be getting overtired in the day, sorry thats all i can think of, or chani9ng 1 or 2 feeds to hungry baby milk

AM interesting brekkie!!

Arlen has taken to just waking one at night for the last few night - think its the lentils he has been scoffing!!

Looks grey and bleak here - will do as we are being inundated with reading festival goers for the next few days, luckily we live that bit further out of town now and nearer the motorway so we will still be able to escape if we need to

Have a good day all
