Apologies if anyone has started this - I can't see one anywhere. Thought we could all meet up here to discuss our newborn darlings.
My little man is doing well - this is day five (I think!). He is feeding well but my nipples are sore - am sure my latch is OK but I suppose it can't be. MW comes tomorrow so will ask her. He's got lots of wet and dirty nappies so milk must be going down OK. He feeds lots in the day and then about 3 times between 8pm-8am. Slept from 2.30am to 8am today. Feeling proud of self as managed trip to playgrund this morning with him in sling and dd in buggy. Managed a 45 min play and about 30 min walk and he slept the whole time. It's as scary going out the first time with him as it was with dd!

Anyway, will stop whittering! Had a few tears (mine) yesterday as I was looking at him and thinking how lucky I am to have two lovely children. Couldn't stop crying. Hormones, hey?
How are the rest of you doing? Wonder who'll be next to pop? Highlander has her section on Monday, I think.....

mandyc66 · 15/07/2005 17:19

well they say it cant say positive if negative but can say negative if positive!! Do you get me?
How overdue are you?

charleepeters · 16/07/2005 10:53

Im 8 days today, im still ahving some symptoms, but im going to wait a week to test.

i spoke to my gp and shesaid wait before they investigated as some women she has treated have been up to 2 months pg before the got a positive test

Hello again everyone. ITs taken me half an hour to catch up with all the posts as I;ve been away for a couple of months so I only have a couple of minutes to say hi. Great to see lots of new names too. My DS was born on the 22nd, he's cruising now, eats lumly food and farleys rusks but no other finger food, he has one tooth and clls me mama ahhhhhhhhhhhhh enough to melt you to a wisp. Having read back through all my concerns about lack of finger foods and funny sleeping patterns have disappeared so thanks all once again for settling another neurotic mum down. Can't believe they'll all be turning 1 in a few weeks!!!

Charleepeters good luck, keep thinking positive thoughts, got everything crossed for you. Would love to be pregnant again (still not over my 2 miscarriages and ecotopic geting preganant obsession) but I'm being a good girl and waiting until finances sort themselves out a bit more.

Right off to bed now before the sun rises.

Take care all xx

Pheebe · 17/07/2005 19:16

Hello again! We're having DS christened in a couple of weeks and I'd like to give his godmum and goddad something special to say thank you but can't think what.... any ideas? I'd like it be special but useful.... ta xx

charleepeters · 17/07/2005 21:01

Maybe a little photo frame with a pic of your ds in?

charleepeters · 19/07/2005 11:45

I have just been to the h.v as ds's temper is getting bad - she has said basicly id hes having a tantrum to pt him down somewhere safe and let him calm down - arrghh! thats going to be hard, i find i cant conderntrate at anythign if hes even slightly whinging!!!!!!!!! wish me luck

melgreenmum · 19/07/2005 15:11

I get the same thing with my DS if he moans it cuts through my brain and I can't remeber anything. feel like saying shh! but how pointless is that. He is starting to want to get his own way - carrying unfeasibly large objects- not being distracted from getting into things he shouldn't- hates being put in stroller etc.

Ho Hum only 18 years to go ( only joking I love him more than i can say and melt when he smiles showing me his two teeth!!)

dejags · 19/07/2005 19:39

Hi All,

Just a very proud mummy moment. It has been a big day in our house.

DS2 cut 3 teeth today (his first) and took 2 steps on his own

So proud...

fredly · 19/07/2005 22:14

hi dejags, and congrats for the teeth and the steps ! It's been a big day for us too, dd threw the ball back to me and handed me one of her toys when I asked for it !! she's changed so much lately, has started to hug us and really interact with us in a physical way iyswim. We're so proud !!

cosmos · 22/07/2005 11:45

Hello again everyone. Thanks for reassurance on the tooth front that my 10 month old will eventually get some!Still no sign of them.
Funny to hear about tantrummy behaviour beginning to show up.Had some of that too,hes really into sticks, wants the sweeping brush(hand in all the dirt)and hates the word NO so try to avoid it.Hes also crazy about the remote control and as we have satellite tv manages to change it to some really wierd channels like napoli nova. Also,he recognises the theme tune to eastenders,as sadly its my favorite prog!
Hes learnt to wave this week, and waves his little hand about like crazy back at you,so sweet.Grans say he looks like a proper little boy now, apart from the teeth(or lack of)

mandyc66 · 23/07/2005 18:09

I think my ds is really behind!!! Not that I am worried at all!!!! He is just crawling..in slow motion! Got 2 teeth and almost got a couple on top !!!
Likes been n his feet but not pulling himself up!
Little cutey though!!!

Saacsmum · 24/07/2005 03:08

he is not behind at all Mandy. My boy is not crawling or pulling himself up at all, he still wakes several times a nite, and hardly eats. He does however wave goodbye, clap his hands, say mama, dada and boobie. He will get there eventually Im sure with the physical stuff, dont worry about your little one he is doing fine.

mandyc66 · 24/07/2005 09:09

I dont worry.
He has just started waking again through the night!!! little 'angel'!!!!
He eats like a horse..giving him 4 meals a day!!! just had 2 weetabix and a banana!!!
