OK I braved it, I read through and you haven't spilled the beans UD. I'm kind of embarassed about how much i'm looking forward to the book

I've had a pretty shitty day today. Freddie just really got on my nerves, he was grumpy all day and did lots more crying than usual. I have been feeling really tired the last few days and ended up getting really pissed off with F early afternoon (i was starving after buggyfit and trying to have some lunch and he was just screaming for no reason that i could fathom)and shouting at him I've never done that before and the poor chap looked so shocked and confused it made me cry cos i felt so bad afterwards So silly I know. I was just really upset with myself for completely losing my cool. I'm really happy my mum is arriving in London on Sunday. I think i need a break.

On a lighter note....

I've been watching that Victoria Beckham in America thing. It's absolutely hilarious. I wonder if she's really like that or whether she is occasionally taking the piss out of herself...

WHERE DO YOU GET BAILEYS CHEESECAKE??

Dragonhart · 19/07/2007 21:49

I think half and half taking the p. I thought it was hilarious! Did you notice that it said on the credits 'PA played by .....' do you think that means the PA was just an actor?

WilkiesWizardWheezes · 19/07/2007 21:57

Shimmer - you are not alone. I have shouted at J on numerous occasions 'WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU???' - I think it's normal. Sounds like you could defo do with a break ATM. Having a baby without family nearby is tough going. Such a shame you are so far away from me.

Had a shite day shopping - looked like a sack of spuds in bloody everthing although I did get a gorgeous halterneck waistcoat from H&M.

Right, am off. My best mate is getting married on Saturday so I will be offline until Sunday.

Have a good one xx

WilkiesWizardWheezes · 19/07/2007 21:58

BTW - has anyone else's MSN morphed back into the older version?? Mine has and it's really annoying!!!!!!!!!

theUmbridgeDryad · 20/07/2007 08:52

morning all - i promise i won't tell anyone who dies - you'll have to wait till the book comes out!! hahahaha! you won't see it coming though....i cried

well it is absolutely pissing it down here today - there are sirens everywhere and people keep beeping their horns. not exactly conducive to getting Z off for his morning nap how dare there be sirens!

Shimmer - i've put zac down to cry when he's been really getting on my nerves. i screamed at him from the kitchen YES ZAC I CAN HEAR YOU!!!! the neighbour came round half an hour later to ask if everything was ok! think she was on the verge of phoning SS, he'd been screaming for over an hour, and i totally lost patience. had to go and have a breather in the kitchen. actually - on that GF program, there was a bit where an advocate of CC said, "I don't care if you're the most perfect parent in the world, at some point you will leave your baby to cry. You have to." don't feel bad. xxx

TheChamberofCarrots · 20/07/2007 09:19

Ds1 is so excited about it UD, they are going tonight to the launch with all the wizardry antics.

There will be more wizardry for them tomorrow as they're going to the fairy fayre (I have to go to a wedding ). There are all sorts of workshops and there will be a big picnic. It's run by the fairyland trust and it's a great conservation thing.

F rolled off the sofa yesterday just to add to the collection of babies who've landed on the floor. He seems fine though, a bit shocked! I shouted at ds1 who was meant to be watching him but of course it's my fault really so I apologised.

theUmbridgeDryad · 20/07/2007 10:02

that looks lovely MrsC...am of them....sounds like something a Dryad should get involved in, non?

MotherBeaker · 20/07/2007 10:33

Hi Everyone, it's been about 8 months since I posted last time. Hope you and all your babies are well! For those that can remember me - we made it back to NZ in one piece, and I had a beautiful baby boy on the 3rd of Jan. I had to have a cs but everything went well and he is a smiley happy baby who has just started to sit up. Any tips on getting a baby to sleep longer in the night though? He was doing really well until he was about 5 months and now he is waking up like a newborn. He goes to sleep full and awake and drops off on his own but then wakes up at 3 or 4 hour intervals. We have tried rocking or patting him to sleep but nothing will work except feeding him. I dream of having eight hours sleep again, mind you if I did my breasts would probably explode from being too full!

laughalot · 20/07/2007 10:38

Hi motherbeaker glad you made it back in one piece you now need to stay in touch . Have you started him on solids yet as that has seemed to work with alot of us on here.

The rain hasnt started here yet but I can see you urban blowing it my way . Glad your stabbed friend is on the mend bless him.

Wilks have you got a fancy new dress for the wedding ?

Eah dont panic about e ringing me it was funny.

Right must dash as I need to clean up

MotherBeaker · 20/07/2007 10:49

Hi laughalot, he has started on solids, although he isn't really fussed by them and quite often refuses them. I try to trick him into eating, I give him another spoon and when he is opening his mouth to chew on that I slip some food in. Even on days when he eats a lot he still wakes up. Oh well, maybe it will resolve on its own one day (mb sighs). And I will keep in touch, I had forgotten how much I loved mn!

eandh · 20/07/2007 11:46

Hello glad you made it back I remember you as your previous name
(I THINK! I was elliepmummy then!) think it is a thing at 5 months as Hattie had a week of waking several times but is back to sleeping through

canmummy · 20/07/2007 13:55

Hi motherbeaker - I've not come across you yet as I didn't find out mumsnet existed when I was pg! . My lo not sleeping through either and seems to be not interested in food at all

EaH - my friend had a little boy who rang 999 when he was about 3 because the ice-cream van had left his street before they'd had chance to go out. Unfortunately my friend didn't realise until she got a call back from a senior police officer telling her off then looked out of the window to see a police car, ambulance and police car heading down her cul-de-sac! She was mortified but the firemen agreed that to a 3-year-old it was an emergency!

UD - rain not arrived here yet but raincoats are at the ready for the school run!

Wilkie - sorry you didn't get anything, I have the same problem. Still got a few pounds to lose but managed 1.5 stone so far. Was gutted when I was trying a coat on yesterday and the sales assistant said I needed the bigger size

Well today is my birthday but a complete non-event. Dh is working nights so he's asleep all day then we might go to pizza hut for tea before he goes to work at 8.30.

I'm feeling quite sad as it's dd2's last day at nursery today ready to start at a new school in september. I've more or less been going there for 3.5 years with both older kids but not sure if dd3 will go there. Can't decide if I'm looking forward to 6 week holidays or not

Planning shopping as got a vip slot for next in half an hour yippee!!

Dragonhart · 20/07/2007 14:45

Happy birthday canmummy! I love pizza hut! Have fun shopping.

Welcome back motherbreaker, glad all was well. Ruth is sleeping better now she is in her own room. Prob DH's snoring

DH friend is coming tonight with his girlfriend and I am dreading it. She is prob really glamorous (I have never met her, but he is pretty good looking so guessing she will be as well) and will make me feel like a frumpy old woman. We are going out and I have no nice clothes that fit, only jeans and tshirts (my uniform!) Even my feet seem too chubby for my shoes!

GobletOfRouge · 20/07/2007 14:48

To all facebook fans - I haven't got a clue how to use it. I tried to send a message to my brother and it asked me to type in a secuirty code but there was nothing to type in??? Found the thread of gold but not sure what to do with it. AAAGGGHHHHHHH

Motherbeaker - I fond solids worked for my LO sleeping through so maybe you'll have to wait til your LO gets an appetite for a good sleep

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANMUMMY - if you get to pizza hut hope you have somethng nice.

I'm knackered, really need a nap

Lizzzombie · 20/07/2007 16:01

Hi, someone has just emailed me to join our secret facebook gang, but I am not sure who you are! Please can you make yourself known and I will add you in....am terrified of accepting someone who doesnt get our um, 'sense of humour' ?! x

SeverusShimmerus · 20/07/2007 21:50

Evening all. Just watching eviction night on BB! DP hates it and always complains if I try and watch it when he?s in, but he?s working late tonight cos of the Harry Potter launch (he works in a bookshop) so I have the TV to myself!

Thanks for the words of sympathy after my crappy day yesterday Wilkie & UD. AF arrived today, so that might have had something to do with me being so emotional yesterday.

Hi MotherBeaker. I do remember your name from all that time ago! Not much help on the night waking I?m afraid, apart from what the others have already said. As you say, your LOs obviously hungry, so once he gets a bit more established on solids he?ll probably start sleeping longer.

Freddie had chicken today for the first time! I made Ms Karmel?s first chicken casserole and he loved it! Horray!

DH hope tonight?s not as awful as you were fearing (and you found something to wear!) and your dh?s friends gf is much less glamorous than you!

Happy Birthday Canmummy!! Did you make it to Pizza Hut?

laughalot · 20/07/2007 22:34

NEXT SALE TOMORROW

PCF just saw a thread you created in the 'for sale' section, didnt realise you lived in littlehampton, my cousin lives there (falcon gardens) and have just found out they are having a boy (due in nov)

I have resisted the next sale (think I've spent enough this week buying the car )

Shimmer glad things are better

Canmummy - did you have a good birthday?

Wilkie - I know you wont see this but hope you have fab time at wedding

DH- How was last night?

Now I cant remember who else has posted, we are picking the new car up at 9am
and my new insurance cover note still hasnt arrived am hoping it'll come today as garage were taxing it for 6 months but as cover note didnt arrive thurs/fri they are taking the money for the tax off the price of the car and I need to tax it

canmummy · 21/07/2007 09:12

I did get to pizza hut last night and stuffed my face! Didn't feel like going tbh as eldest 2 were arguing/crying and lo was crying as she was overtired but it was alright when we got there. He also gave me a surprise present - tickets for take that concert! (although have to wait for december!!)

EaH - hope you enjoy the new car you should be in it by now!

Pcf - well done on next sale. I only managed to order a rug on-line yesterday as I had visitors during my vip slot who had gone and woken lo up when she's normally fast asleep

Off to stage school this am with older 2 and found out they need t-shirts/jumpers/catsuits/dance shoes and tap shoes! Think I better take my cheque book and hope dh is in a good mood when I tell him

TheChamberofCarrots · 21/07/2007 09:20

Morning - off to a wedding today, and have been having a crisis re. DD's old pushchair here

I have decided to use it but after boiling it and using covers.

Weather is crap, as I'm sure you all know

Dragonhart · 21/07/2007 16:21

Carrot- hope wedding goes well and it is not too wet! Just reading about a wedding where the rain fell so heavily yesterday that they got cut off! I would have used the buggy after hot washing the cosytoes too.

EAH- how is the new car?

Glad you had a good meal canmummy.

DH's friends gf was really nice and although very pretty/cool/slim () I didnt hate her for it! We had a lovely meal out then today we went for a carvery today with them. I am now very stuffed!

eandh · 21/07/2007 21:19

MrsC- hope wedding went well

DH-glad all went well and carvery sounds lovely

Canmummy-glad you had a good birthday and ope it didnt cost you to much today at the dance thing

New car is fab and Hattie loves it in ur old car she'd never sleep but each time shes been out in it today she has nodded off. We are going to take it for a drive in the morning probably head to Hastings r Folkestone then in the afternoon go and see my parents as they come back from holiday tonight and Ellie is desperate to see Grandad. We have been painting the playroom today coffee/cream colours so if we decide to make it the dining room it'll look nice (still havent decided what to do)

I ordered Hatties next stage car seat from BOOTS (online) today as Ellies desnt seem to fit properly anymore (she doesnt need it just yet but we thought we'd try it in the new car popped to Halfords as we couldnt get it to stay tight but it seems one of the clips that holds the seat belt has broken so rather than get it repaired we decided to be on the safe side and order a new one) anyway Boots have triple point weekend plus additional 1000 points if you spend over £50 plus free delivery and I found another code to get another 750 points so car seat was £105 (got maxi cosi as mum and dad have one and they are great and dissapointed that our Britax one has broken so easily) and I got £31.50 in advantage card points yippeee!!

WilkiesWizardWheezes · 22/07/2007 16:57

Bonjour - have only just skim read messages. Little man is not a happy bunny today - think it is the teeth again! No signs of them comign through yet but his gums are white and hard at the front (two lumps at the bottom).

Wedding was beautiful. My BF looked stunning and I cried and cried. Such an emotional wreck. Got a bit pissed , told my BF's dad I wanted to marry his accent (he's scottish), asked another man in a kilt if he was wearing any pants and then announced to the table that I couldn't feel my nose (it went numb from the anmount of booze consumed). FIL picked us up at 12.30am and I was nearly sick in his car. Such a classy bird am I

Went to NEXT sale yesterday and spent £130 - there was SOOOOOOOO much!!

Second stage car-seat - I have bought one from my sister's friend for £40. It is a Britax Renaissance in immaculate condition and was £160 new! Bargainous.

Shimer - glad you are feeling better mate.

MotherBeaker - I don't remember you but welcome. I onl joined the group in November.

Erm, urm, can't remember anything else. Weather has been shite here, absolutely siling it down. Vino - hope your cellar hasn't flooded again.

Right, DH is watching the gold (quelle surprise) so must dash as LO is whinging.

laughalot · 22/07/2007 18:42
