Good title 2happy (do hope Jodies kids have lots of bread for the f/ducks)

Really well thanks they all 'won' and got a certificate for taking part and a medal each. She joined in some of the races but got a bit bored, she decided pushchair race was a bit hard so dumped her pushchair and legged it for the finish line

Wilkie - you wait till he is in a bed and can et up and walk into your room sort of kills the moment or as my nephew (aged around 5 at the time) announced at sunday dinner in front od entire family (great grandparents etc etc) daddy has got a sticky tummy cause I went in for a cuddle and Daddys tummy was sticking to mummys tummy and I could see his bottom lots of for sil and her dh!

eandh · 06/07/2007 20:29

dont worry jacob no naked mummy and daddy muttering to you to be quiet tonight

JodieG1 · 07/07/2007 08:28

Lmao, I'm never going going to live that down am I. You know as soon as I saw you say how could you not call it that I just knew it was something along these lines lol. Can't believe I said that still!

We went to the fair at school last night, was great, Morgan had his face painted like a pirate and Caitlin had 2 tattoos (the transer type), bouncy castle/slide thing, painted a wooden flower and Caitlin saw a friend there. Her and her friend wanted their faces painted so me and her friend's mum waited for about 20 mins and then they looked up and said they didn't want it done after all lol.

Hope you're all well, off to make a cuppa.

laughalot · 07/07/2007 08:52

LaL - sounds like you had a great night out, i really fancy going out now!

we've been at a bbq almost all day - Zac is being a right PIA to put down to bed though. and dh is useless.

eandh · 07/07/2007 20:13

I've joined facebook right think I have requested soem of you as friends but not really sure what I am doing

2Happy · 07/07/2007 23:45

Evening all. Hope you're all having good weekends. Been out to dh's ex-boss's leaving do, which was just a (partially) cleared out barn with hog roast, band, and lots and lots of farmers and vets (yawn, I mean, great conversations...). Still we got to strip the willow, so not an entirely wasted evening! Spent the day on the beach, despite the frequent heavy rain ds1 loved it. I cowered in the "sun" tent with ds2! Pretty knackered now, way past my bedtime. UD hope Z went down eventually, glad the sports day/school fairs have gone well.

I have been up since 5.15 when Hattie decided there was noway she was going back to sleep then Ellie woke at 5.30 by 7 they were both back in our bed fast asleep with DH and I was wide awake as have got earache.

Srtipped their beds done 2 loads of washing and hung on the line and now DH taken them out as hes worked the last 6 days and I am truly fed up of them am going to have a lay down on sofa and catch 40winks in a mo.

We are off to pil for bbq this afternoon but I'll have to cook for Hattie and Ellie before we go as Ellie wont eat anything properly at a BBQ just pick at bits and then she'll be awake tonight because shes hungry.

Tour de france is coming literally past our house (well over the bridge but we can see it from our house) so we'll be out there around 11.30-12ish to have a nose (dh is a bike fanatic)

MrsCarrot · 08/07/2007 09:22

Ooo, I wish we could watch that EAH, what part of the country are you in again? I am tired too, Lo woke up lots between five and seven and I gave up in the end. Didn't go to bed till midnight so I'm knackered.

We went to the beach yesterday too. Bought a picnic while dd was at drama and then whizzed off to Walberswick and it didn't rain! People were just paddling though, you would think it would be full of swimmers on a hot Saturday in July? Mind you, Sizewell B looms on the horizon.

eandh · 08/07/2007 09:30

I'm in Maidstone (county town of Kent)

MrsCarrot · 08/07/2007 09:32

Ok, Kent is lovely isn't it, dh is from Canturbury. Hope you get some rest.

MrsCarrot · 08/07/2007 09:33

Canterbury even

eandh · 08/07/2007 09:36

My Mum and I often pop to Canterbury for
shopping (and my nan is in Broadstairs so we stop on route to her) given up on the sleep idea seems when I have the chance to sleep I cant

MrsCarrot · 08/07/2007 09:44

I know that feeling, you get past being able to drop off.

Shimmer · 08/07/2007 10:35

Morning all. Looks like another sunny day! Horray! At last Had a lovely day yesterday - long boozy lunch out with my brother and his gf, then we went up to Hyde Park to watch the Tour de France time trials. I've never been really into cycling or the Tour de France or anything, but the atmosphere was really good and being there and actually seeing the cyclists was brilliant!

Mrs Carrot the beach sounds lovely. We'll have to make an effort to get to one soon if this weather holds. Had a text from my parents this morning who had just arrived in Thailand and were off to have lunch at the beach and get a massage. So !!!

Shimmer · 08/07/2007 10:38

EAH. I used to live near Maidstone when i was little. A village called Yalding. Only for a couple of years but i remember it well.

vinorouge · 08/07/2007 16:17

Liking the new title 2happy!

Back home after a lovely hen weekend in the peak district. I got drunk for first time since lo born which was great fun on fri night but not so much fun on sat morning. Organised a walk for us all yesterday then went for a yummy and very civilised meal last night. Been to Debenhams sale to buy myself an outfit ready for the wedding itself. LO and Dh have had fun at home together too.

Wilkie - hope you are a bit happier today

EAH - enjoy the bbq??

UD - at the parking ticket

Shimmer - providing we all like each other in real life when we meet in August we could do York next time. Its somewhere I never go!

Off to sort out cooking roast beef now. DH bless him did the food shopping while I wedding outfit shopped.

loopyjules · 08/07/2007 16:49

well i see there is a shiny new thread, hello all just wanted to let you know that i haven't done a runner just all been a bit hectic at this end and haven't even been near mn for nearly a week now, i am going to have a lot to catch up on by the looks of things...!

mum and dad have gone back today so it's just me and the little dude again till thursday, then dh is back and i'm off on my mates hen night, it will be the first time i have left brandon for any length of time and the first time dh has had him on his own and i think his next teeth are coming soon so maybe he's saving them for his daddy

anyway i just wanted to say hi, hope you are well and i'll try and catch up and jump back in again soon

theUrbanDryad · 08/07/2007 17:29

hi everyone - well another thrilling day in the Urban household...got up and went for monster breakfast in the cafe down the road from us, then went for a walk in the park. took Zac swimming for the first time in ages this afternoon, he was ok for a little while but got really grumpy after about 10 mins dh and i managed to get a couple of lengths in too though, so it wasn't a totally wasted trip! Zac usually goes straight to sleep after swimming, but he's just grump and tired so dh took him out to the park again and then they're going to call in at my mum's to pick up a yorkshire pudding tin!

i'm cooking roast beef too for us and a friend. will be Zac's first time sitting up to the table with us, usually i just have lunch with him, we'll see how it goes!!

hope you all enjoyed the sunshine - we did, although it's been so long we had any sunshine i've lost Zac's sunhat!!

IsItPimmsOClock · 08/07/2007 22:08

Hello all - have been lurking, just no time to post. So apologies for no personals, but a question ....

Tried to start ds on solids over the last few days but he's really not interested! Have tried finger stuff and puree. Don't remember this problem with dd, she just are whatever was going (but is a fussy madam now though ). Do I persevere or give up and wait a week or so (he's 26 weeks now I think) ???
