Well i think i was the frist to 'pop' from the due in june thread so i thought it was about time we started the post-natal thread.

DS2 is 2 weeks on monday I had him 4 weeks early due to induction for OC. Everything is going really well and i think things are finally starting to settle down (i hope i haven't just spoken too soon!!)

He is really suffering with colic though and were getting about 4 hours sleep a night on average and with a 2.5 year old there is no chance of catching up in the day, but i shouldn't complain as i'm lucky to have got two wonderful boys. Thats it now NO MORE!!!!!9smile0

I know a few other june mums have had their babies so it would be lovely to hear from you to see how you are all getting on (when you get the chance )

I just checked my emails and it says that the email I sent you yesterday has been delayed ! I don't know why, it doesn't say, all it says is that I don't need to resend it, so you should get it soon.

I want to change my name to dogtanian, but people won't know who I am!

hollyandalice · 03/07/2007 11:40

AAARRRGGGHHH!!! Just gave alice a chocolate finger and she has just wiped her face all over william's clean sleepsuit! More washing..oh joy!

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 11:44

you could do hollyAKAdogtanian or HollyCHANGINGTOdogtanian for a while until people get used to it, then drop the holly etc?

sshhhh no baby talk

hollyandalice · 03/07/2007 11:46

Sorry!

trendaverter · 03/07/2007 11:46

What baby?

I have been on a diet for 10 days now. It's working I think.

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 11:48

Lucky you...what's your secret?

or was that irony and I just missed it completely ?

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 11:49

....oooopps there goes the nork nibbler...gotta go!

trendaverter · 03/07/2007 11:52

No irony, just steering the subject away from babies!!

No secret, I just lost all my appetite totally following birth and have gone right off food in general, brilliant!

hollyandalice · 03/07/2007 11:55

I keep forgetting to snack TA! It's great! I've also lost all desire to cook, which is not so good. My poor dp keeps getting pasta for dinner!

hollyandalice · 03/07/2007 12:00

When is my farking mw going to get here? I'm getting a bit sick and tired of waiting around all day for them to turn up! If they would just say morning or afternoon that might be a bit more helpful!

sputnik · 03/07/2007 12:27

Be blardy thankful you live in a country where they send MWs and HVs to your house, I'd say

foxybrown · 03/07/2007 12:48

I'M NOT IGNORING YOU!!

Been having a lie down thats all.

I don't know what's happening- been waiting to see all morning but now I've picked up the 2 youngest it's probably all going to stop now.

TBH I did get very uptight about my EDD coming and going so decided to go and do something else. Spent Sunday with RL friends, and needed to get my head away from it, if that makes sense.

Am fine now, but very cautious of posting anything which might mean me saying it outloud.

I want DP to come home now.

But that's probably because I can't be arsed to look after the children, rather than needing him to because I'm in labour.

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 13:02

I went out in the car yesterday....it felt great to be mobile again

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 13:07

yaaay, foxy.

don't be too much in denial though sweetheart.....or the babies head will be crowning before you've called the midwife!!

hollyandalice · 03/07/2007 13:13

Hello!! Are you just feeling odd foxy, or is something happening? Hope you are ok.

foxybrown · 03/07/2007 13:35

MW on her way to assess me. Should know in an hour or so if this is it. Am not counting my chickens given the false alarms last week.

Will wait until then until I start a birth thread!

Keep everything crossed for me. xxx

bumperlicious · 03/07/2007 13:41

Hi all, just a quick message as my mum is here and making me some lunch!

Been to breastfeeding group again today, was fab just to meet other mothers, and get a bit of ressurance, and managed to not crash the car again!

Had a crappy night last night, as I am so tired and frustrated when she wakes up early in the morning, then cries and cries, then I cry and DH is so good at settling her and taking her into the living room so I can sleep even though he had to be up for work at 6. I feel like an awful mother when I'm like that, I just am so tired and that i don't want to hold her Thank god for DH.

Ria, sorry you are having a tough time too. I'm also sick of the sweating!

Foxy, good luck if this is it for you.

Hi to everyone else. Will be more sociable again soon. Btw, I may have recruited a new due in Juner from my breast feeding group! Keep an eye out for her.

trendaverter · 03/07/2007 14:05

Good luck Foxy!

Bumper I know how you feel, DS has been yelling his heart out ALL DAY for no apparent reason, he is fed, changed, entertained, burped, but still he cries and cries and I am so tired

trendaverter · 03/07/2007 14:19

Still yelling his lungs out...I am about the end of my tether

I think he is just overtired....so am I!

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 14:22

TA try some skin to skin contact with him and hold him tight...he sounds over-tired and just needs to chill a bit!

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 14:24

bumper...you should try that too. DD gets really frustrated with me as well, I think cos she can smell milk...its like DH is for cuddles, whereas I'm just a meal ticket. Skin to skin contact has helped me settle her dowen on several occasions though so its worth a go!

bumperlicious · 03/07/2007 14:27

It's soul destroying isn't it TA. Can you take him outside? We have really bad pavements where we are but DD loves the bumpiness! Just wish the weather would sort itself out.

My mum is being great. She has made me sit down and is tidying my house after bringing me lunch from Waitrose! Bless her!

Right, I should really wake this LO up for a nappy change and a feed - though I hate to wake her! Who knows when she will sleep again?!

How are you doing Foxy?

bumperlicious · 03/07/2007 14:29

That's a good idea daisy, it's just in the middle of the night I feel so frustrated by her, it sounds awful doesn't it? Will have to try and be more patient.

Ok, she is awake no, no need for me to wake her!

sputnik · 03/07/2007 14:35

Don't do it Bumper!
My MIL says there's a saying where she comes from, that you should only wake a sleeping baby if there's a war

sputnik · 03/07/2007 14:36

There you go, she got there on her own.
