Well i think i was the frist to 'pop' from the due in june thread so i thought it was about time we started the post-natal thread.

DS2 is 2 weeks on monday I had him 4 weeks early due to induction for OC. Everything is going really well and i think things are finally starting to settle down (i hope i haven't just spoken too soon!!)

He is really suffering with colic though and were getting about 4 hours sleep a night on average and with a 2.5 year old there is no chance of catching up in the day, but i shouldn't complain as i'm lucky to have got two wonderful boys. Thats it now NO MORE!!!!!9smile0

I know a few other june mums have had their babies so it would be lovely to hear from you to see how you are all getting on (when you get the chance )

i'm pretty sure sit-ups ok after VB....I've been doing some core stability exercises only as I had a section. I'm sure someone posted a link about exercises the other day..I'll see if I can find it!

claire74 · 02/07/2007 22:02

Thanks D - tried to chat to tb but seems to have gone now, I will just post some advice on the an thread for her, incase she comes back later, as i'm off in a mo to feed lo.

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/07/2007 22:04

ta Claire, I'm sure she'll pick it up later

riabutterflew · 02/07/2007 23:03

Just dropping in quickly. Had a really crap day feeding-wise (took an hour to get pootle latched on this morning and then he only fed for 5 minutes, we have reapeated this pattern a couple of times throughout the day, but he seems ok tonight). Visit from MW I don't like to check I didn't have uterine infection, she said with the number of kids I have there's no wonder it wasn't back where it should be, but then she was under the impression I had 6! (My mum was very offended on my behalf ).

DS1 is being truly hateful to DS2 which is difficult, and will not do ANYTHING he is asked to do (unfortunately for him though he had Granny in his room tonight and I think he got a talking to!) DS2 is ot getting enough sleep because he is waking up when LO wakes. It is also too chuffing hot (I know I should be grateful we aren't up to our armpits in flood water, and I am, but am having trouble with the thundery humidity, especially combined with night sweats AND day sweats).

DH back to work officially tomorrow, but as he has been there unofficially for half of the time he has been "off" I might not notice too much (but will probably cry and not cope very well). He is having his shoulder joint replaced in August (2 days before his birthday - it dislocates on a recurring basis due to a judo injury, this will be his 4th operation). We will be able to go to Tropical World when he goes back for post-op appointments!

Love your new name daisy. Good luck with the trousers. My sister gave me two pairs she bought at the weekend that were too small for her, and I got to give her back three pairs out of my wardrobe that she gave to me when they were too big for her. (I know I should not be pleased about it, but the number of times she has rung me and said "you're a bit fatter than me aren't you, would you like...as it's FAR too big for me".) I am still FAT BTW, (just not quite as fat as I have been!)

Have a nice day tomorrow all... Good luck to everyone managing without DPs!

Sorry for the long post.

riabutterflew · 02/07/2007 23:08

We are talking approx 4 stone excess, Slimming World is calling but I'm not listening (yet, but DH wants to lose weight for his op, so I suppose I can "support" him a bit by eating more healthily. Spent a fortune at Morrisons on fruit and veg today, and it all needs preparing for fruit salad etc. Suppose I can't BURN fruit salad!

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/07/2007 23:11

Ria...sorry to hear its not been a grat day for you...you need a break from all of this! Pooey about DHs op, but hopefully this will get it sorted for once and for all. I'm sure the boys are just reacting to the changes and will settle down soon. My DS has been soo much better over the last few days.

We could come and meet you at tropical world if you fancy a meet-up? DS and I were there today...it's great (although not the ideal place for hormonal, sweaty, post-partum women...I was wet through by the time we'd been all the way around)

We'll be over your way in a few weeks for a weeks holiday in Staithes (28 July till 4 Aug). If this blardy weather improves, do you fancy joining us for a mad few hours running around on the beach or looking for fossils or fishing for crabs?

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/07/2007 23:13

We should start an on-line slimming support group...I've got about 2.5 stone I'd like to lose

TALLULAHBELLE · 02/07/2007 23:14

Thanks Daisy for alerting Claire to my post. She left some good advice but is gone now. Hopefully will catch her tomorow.

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/07/2007 23:27

Have a good night Tallulah.....

babyboo stirring again....feed then bed for me.

g'night xx

trendaverter · 03/07/2007 09:06

I will join your slimming group!! I am a size 18, want to get to a 14!

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 09:37

Yawn.....babyboo didn't settle until nearly 2 this morning then was up again at 3:30 and 5:00. slept in till 8, but somehow managed to get all of us out of the door for 8:35 including a bit of a feed for babyboo....it can be done . I haven't washed my face or combed my hair, but hey ho....

...i'm off back to bed whilst bub is sleeping!

BadZelda · 03/07/2007 09:38

Morning all - how are you all doing today? I'm feeling much less cranky this morning than yesterday. Have been lurking but didn't feel much like posting. I threw a plate out of the kitchen door and did WAY too much swearing. I blame the weather! Would it be wrong to spend an hour chilling now, and let DD watch telly instead of taking her to the playgroup?

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 09:40

Not wrong at all, BZ....a chilled happy mummy is much better than a stressed grumpy mummy, IMO

Know waht you mean about grumpiness....I was starting to lose the plot at 2:00am when Bub wouldn't settle!

BadZelda · 03/07/2007 09:45

Wow daisy I'm impressed! DH has left instructions for dinner on the blackboard, so maybe I won't lose the plot as much today. Love spending time with the children - it's the cleaning and cooking that gets me down ;(

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 09:46

Lol i know exactly what you mean!

BadZelda · 03/07/2007 09:50

Also I'm itching to get on with my book!

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 09:54

go for the book option.....after all it's going to make you rich and famous!!

foxybrown · 03/07/2007 10:25

Morning all. Just skimmed through and spotted Claire's post about the lump in lo's throat.

FWIW, my DS2 had one just at the base of the front of his throat. It moved and didn't appear to be attached. It was monitored every 6-12 months and disappeared when I took him last time (he was 4). They did try to scan it by ultrasound, but it didn't really work (he was 2 at the time). They didn't work out what it was, but it was nothing to worry about. Hope that gives you some help x

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 10:28

hey foxy.....how are you?

hollyandalice · 03/07/2007 11:20

Am I alone ?

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 11:23

No, I'm here......as usual!!

Had great plans for getting out and about today and doing stuff but its pissing down again. Am halfheartedly doing some housework while LO sleeps, and trying to stay awake myself...got a mammoth 4 hours sleep last night....and not all in one stretch....yaaaaaaaawn.

I think Foxy is ignoring everyone....she's posting but not replying!

hollyandalice · 03/07/2007 11:25

It was nice earlier, was gonna go out, but have to wait in for mw. I bet it is rubbish this afternoon and we will end up sitting indoors all day again.

Doesn't foxy like us anymore? Are we bad people?

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 11:31

Maybe we're a bit one-sided in our conversations these days......its all baby baby baby.

We need to start talking about rampant rabbits and ice cream and slebs we fancy again

Apologies in advance Foxy......but my inflatable BF cushion has got a puncture.... it only lasted four weeks, bloody shocking!

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 11:33

Are you going to change your name then?

I thought about changing mine away from Daisywhatever, but I like being Daisy....she's kind of my alter-ego!

Holly, I didn't get your e-mail yesterday......it's still daisybump@......

hollyandalice · 03/07/2007 11:37

SEX TOYS, CHOCOLATE, THAT BLOKE OFF PRISON BREAK, TALL SKINNY MEN, YOU TOUCHA MY BUMP I SMASHA YOUR FACE, ORAL PROSTAGLANDINS, TWUNTY DPS etc...
