Well i think i was the frist to 'pop' from the due in june thread so i thought it was about time we started the post-natal thread.

DS2 is 2 weeks on monday I had him 4 weeks early due to induction for OC. Everything is going really well and i think things are finally starting to settle down (i hope i haven't just spoken too soon!!)

He is really suffering with colic though and were getting about 4 hours sleep a night on average and with a 2.5 year old there is no chance of catching up in the day, but i shouldn't complain as i'm lucky to have got two wonderful boys. Thats it now NO MORE!!!!!9smile0

I know a few other june mums have had their babies so it would be lovely to hear from you to see how you are all getting on (when you get the chance )

Oh ffs, have I missed a birth? Arse!

hollyandalice · 02/07/2007 09:28

anyone here? I'm feeling lonely!

daisyboo · 02/07/2007 09:29

Morning Holly...you still there?

Sounds like you had a fun weekend TA....all credit to you for being so organised so quickly...I've only just started making it over the threshold.

DH goes back to Lincolnshire today but will be back Thursday evening, so only three nights to get through alone.

hope they're not like last night.....DD was up at 1:00, 3:00 and 5:00. She was only feeding for about 15 mins and I don't thinks she was getting much hindmilk which is why she kept waking up. My let down has gone crazy and I'm choking the wee thing, so she gulps what she can then goes back to sleep.

She's going to sleep all day now, I bet you! At least I'll get some housework done.

daisyboo · 02/07/2007 09:30

hello....how are things?

hollyandalice · 02/07/2007 09:32

YAY A FRIEND!!

How are you daisy? We are fine, still having bfing woe, but we are getting there!

daisyboo · 02/07/2007 09:36

TA that's a lovely photo.....he looks really alert.
I need to get some more of DD; we're doing that typical 2nd child thing...we have more photos of DS as a newborn than we can shake a stick at, but have hardly taken any of DD!!

Holly, I mentioned some boys summer clothes I've got age 3-6 months. Your DS will probably get the use of them this summer if you want them? Shorts and t-shirt (baby roo on the front) and some socks and trainers

daisyboo · 02/07/2007 09:37

we're allright, tired but happy. got a slurpy baby on the boob and she doesn't seem to be latching too well, but I'm not sore and have plenty milk, so am not too worried about it.

What's up with the BF?

hollyandalice · 02/07/2007 09:42

Oooo, I missed that post daisy! I've been a bit slack lately! The clothes would be great, I don't have very much 3-6 months. The newborn stuff is getting a bit tight already! How much did you want for them?

IKWYM about photos! I've not taken many at all of ds, but he is looking much smoother and less spotty now, so I might get the camera out! He is still very yellow, it looks like a bad fake tan! Bless the poor little man!

daisyboo · 02/07/2007 09:45

Don't want anything for them.....they were bought as a present for someone last year but the child had grown out of them before I got around to sending them I kept them incase I had a boy, but no.......

e-mail me your address and I'll get them posted.

Glad will is getting better.

hollyandalice · 02/07/2007 09:46

He is killing me when he latches on, I am using shields atm to toughen myself up a bit! I'm feeling very engorged as well. What we go through to bf!

hollyandalice · 02/07/2007 09:47

I'll email you now! Thanks v much, you are lovely !!

daisyboo · 02/07/2007 09:48

when will he get less yellow? DD had a bit of jaundice but it only lasted three or four days. MIL kept bleating on about what a lovely colour she was and wouldn't believe me when I said it was jaundice. She's a bit mad though.

We were out for lunch yesterday and DD slept through the whole thing, but had started to stir as we were getting ready to leave. She took her out of the car seat when I was in the loo and of course she woke up and wanted feeding, so we had a screaming DD for 20 mins on the drive back to the ILs.... Grrrr

hollyandalice · 02/07/2007 09:53

I don't really know when it'll go, the mws don't seem too bothered by it though. They come round to check him every couple of days, which is good as it puts my mind at rest.

I had to bf william in sainsburys cafe yesterday! That was fun! Dp asked me if I ever thought I'd be sat in sainsburys with my norks out? I have to say I never thought that day would come!

trendaverter · 02/07/2007 10:06

Hello I'm back
Daisy I'm not that organised trust me, but DH is, he's a control freak but I love it, means all the little jobs get done.

The only real problem we have had with our little man is he gets AWFUL colic and wind, it's so sad, inconsolable tears and pain and it keeps us up all night. We put him on the infacol though which has worked really well, he now farts and belches like a hairy trucker and voms a bit more than he used to, but we are all a bit more rested!

daisyboo · 02/07/2007 10:06

Good for you...so far I've avoided public, although we did have a 10 min stint in the car park of M&S the other day!

Twice I've BF at someone elses house and we just cant get comfy.....and DD gets really distracted by what's going on around her and looking at other peoples pictures etc. She's an inquisitive one that's for sure!!

daisyboo · 02/07/2007 10:08

LOL TA....my DD can fart like a trooper. she purses her lips, sticks her lags stright out and lets rip! So ladylike

We're off to a wedding this coming weekend....should be interesting. I need to manage my stress levels or it wil be a miserable experience!

trendaverter · 02/07/2007 10:15

LOL Daisy, yes they are so delicate when they need to 'go' aren't they

Credit to you ladies for BFing in public - tbh it's one of the reasons behind my decision not to BF, I am too shy to get my boobs out in front of my Mum let alone Sainsburys.

Going to Costco soon to see if I can buy some SMA in bulk, gotta be cheaper than the supermarkets and he is chowing it down like it's going out of fashion.

hollyandalice · 02/07/2007 10:23

Bloody hell, I go for a wee and I come back and william is covered in disney princess stickers!

daisyboo · 02/07/2007 10:25

LOL Holly.......I just told DS what I was laughing about and his beady eyes lit up....

hollyandalice · 02/07/2007 10:25

I was too shy to bf in public for about 6months with my dd. Now I just get them out anywhere!

hollyandalice · 02/07/2007 10:29

It's really hard to know what to do about leaving them alone in a room together. I know dd wouldn't hurt him on purpose, but she can be a bit rough.

hollyandalice · 02/07/2007 10:33

AAARRGGGHHH!!! Why is that slag eamonn holmes wife woman on this morning? I farking hate her!

daisyboo · 02/07/2007 10:40

Holly, IKWYM about leaving the DCs together...DS wants to pick Em up and cuddle her all the time and he's always poking and prodding at her. Yesterday he woke her up then came to tell me he'd woken her up as she needed feeding.....aaaarghgh.

caught him sucking on her dummy earlier too!!

Don't think I need to worry about sterilising anything either....he's always sticking his grubby fingers in her mouth, so no point really!

daisyboo · 02/07/2007 10:41

Right I'm off for a shower and then sorting out all of my last summer's wardrobe to see if anything actually fits me yet!

I may be back soon in a deeply depressed state!

hollyandalice · 02/07/2007 10:45

I did that yesterday daisy! I had a massive tantrum and threw all my clothes on the floor!
