Well i think i was the frist to 'pop' from the due in june thread so i thought it was about time we started the post-natal thread.

DS2 is 2 weeks on monday I had him 4 weeks early due to induction for OC. Everything is going really well and i think things are finally starting to settle down (i hope i haven't just spoken too soon!!)

He is really suffering with colic though and were getting about 4 hours sleep a night on average and with a 2.5 year old there is no chance of catching up in the day, but i shouldn't complain as i'm lucky to have got two wonderful boys. Thats it now NO MORE!!!!!9smile0

I know a few other june mums have had their babies so it would be lovely to hear from you to see how you are all getting on (when you get the chance )

Precious first born! There have been lots of threads on MN about PFB syndrome! Like all the things that you did with PFB but couldn't be bothered with subsequent children (i.e. baby books) or just realised how pointless it is worrying about certain things (i.e. dummies!)

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 20:53

precious first born......there are many funny threads on here about how precious you were about your first born.

One woman posted that she spent her evenings adding and subtracting sheets and blankets according to variations in the room temperature as per the chart on the back of sheet packaging! You get the idea.

derlor · 01/07/2007 20:54

oh i see, well i'm a CCLTB then!!!!!!

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 20:55

my PFB used to be whipped out of his clothes at the first sign of minute dribble...until three weeks old and the projectile vomiting started...I soon tired of that game I can tell you!

But he did have about 15 pairs of wee soft shoes that colour co-ordinated with all his outfits!

derlor · 01/07/2007 20:55

there is a prize for whoever works it out 1st

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 20:55

CCLTB?????

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 20:56

can't care less third born???

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 20:56

or baby?

bumperlicious · 01/07/2007 20:57

Couldn't Care Less Talking Bollocks?

bumperlicious · 01/07/2007 20:58

Not that I think you are talking bollocks actually I think daisy got it right!

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 20:58

another pfb moment...I bought a baby monitor and set it up the first night we were home......I lived in a one bedroom flat and the bedroom was right next door to the living room. I could hear him breathing form the living room FFS!!

bumperlicious · 01/07/2007 20:59

Gotta go, crying baby...

derlor · 01/07/2007 21:00

well done Daisy, Derlor passes Daisy a piece of apple pie

derlor · 01/07/2007 21:01

Hello boys, Take That are here!

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 21:04

mmmmppppppffmmhmmmffmppphh Thank You

I barely even flinch when DD cries, but used to sprint to DS.....i like to think it as being more relaxed rather than not caring!

Foxy will be preactically horizontal.

Have I missed catsuitgirl....there hasn't been any word from her since the 12th as far I can see and I think she was going in to be induced on her due date if she hadn't had it by then. Starting to get a bit worried about her

derlor · 01/07/2007 21:12

yeah i noticed that recently too, don't know where she's got to, hopefully just busy with her LO.
Defo more relaxed this time, consequently DD2 is chilled out too.

derlor · 01/07/2007 21:17

i was a clueless frantic nightmare with DS, i can totally understand and remember how it feels to be in Bumper's and all the other 1st time mum's shoes right now. Wish MN had been around when i had DS, even this time with my 3rd the support on here is invaluable, i shudder when i think back to all the parenting mistakes we made with DS!!

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 21:25

IKWYM, I was waxing lyrical about it a few days ago.

Foxy was on earlier saying she was having a break from MN as she's got herself all stressed about missing her due date.

It must be odd being one of the last few, especially after the big flurry we had the week before last. They'll all be joining us soon though!

The sound on this concert is really shite....the vocals are being drowned out by the music. I can hardly hear wee Mark!

derlor · 01/07/2007 21:26

i actually just texted Foxy to see if she is OK.
no sign of Robbie

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 21:27

LOL DD must have heard me...DH has just gone to fetch me some cheese and crackers, and true to form....she's woken up!

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 21:28

tell her to come and talk to us and we'll promise not to talk about babies all the time!

derlor · 01/07/2007 21:28

typical!

derlor · 01/07/2007 21:29

if she replies i'll invite her to join us, think she's been turning in early though so she's probably in the land of nod already.

derlor · 01/07/2007 21:42

right it's feeding time then bed, have a good sleep x

trendaverter · 02/07/2007 07:27

Morning all, I'm sleepy!
Took DS away for the weekend, what a lerf, 1 week old baby, crazy pooch, me and DH go away for a long weekend. Must be mental.
Apart from DS getting shite wind though it was fun (and yes infacol does work!! Thank god, meant we got some sleep anyway).
Little bugger eats like a horse, he's on 120ml about 7-8 times a day atm.

Last MW visit today though, will be interesting to see how much weight he's gained.

Little angel though, he has a little bit of spotty skin, nappy rash etc a few days ago, but all is great now, just tired Mum and Dad!
