Well i think i was the frist to 'pop' from the due in june thread so i thought it was about time we started the post-natal thread.

DS2 is 2 weeks on monday I had him 4 weeks early due to induction for OC. Everything is going really well and i think things are finally starting to settle down (i hope i haven't just spoken too soon!!)

He is really suffering with colic though and were getting about 4 hours sleep a night on average and with a 2.5 year old there is no chance of catching up in the day, but i shouldn't complain as i'm lucky to have got two wonderful boys. Thats it now NO MORE!!!!!9smile0

I know a few other june mums have had their babies so it would be lovely to hear from you to see how you are all getting on (when you get the chance )

She definitely wants to suck something, but because we have scratch mitts on as she is very scratchy she can't suck her hands. Just don't want her to only be able to get to sleep with a dummy! I need to stop obsessing!

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 19:37

just been singing at dd and she's smiling at me....[gooey gushy emoticon]

derlor · 01/07/2007 19:37

yup, sit down love, have a glass of my lovely wine and a piece of apple pie and Chill with us, i've just sirvived my 1st day alone with 3 LO's (hence the large glass of wine )

derlor · 01/07/2007 19:38

oops survived i meant.

derlor · 01/07/2007 19:41

Actually to blow my own trumpet some more i had 5 kids for most of the day as DS had 2 friends here [smug biatch face}

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 19:44

bumper...chill babes, have a glass of wine and put your feet up. even if it gives you a few hours respite, its not the end of the world and you won't necessarily be wrestling it from her at the school gate!

something weird has happened to my norks. they've now got really engorged and what seemed to be quite a fierce let down has gone ballistic...i squirted dd in the eye earlier and as i was feeding one side it was dripping out of the other????

she's getting such a gobful that she's letting go and slurping.

why is this happening now?

derlor · 01/07/2007 19:48

Daisy, has she had a recent growth spurt where she was feeding all the time and now is feeding normally again? If so your boobs would have filled up to satisfy her at that time and now just take 24 hours or so to get back to normal. Also my redundant boob always leaks when feeding from the other side, and i can squirt quite far too!!!

derlor · 01/07/2007 19:49

if she is choking die to speed of milk coming out then express a small amount off before feeding her and get the initial fast squirting into a bottle instead of her mouth

derlor · 01/07/2007 19:50

due not die!!

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 19:51

she was a bit voracious over the last few days. I actually woke up in pain for the first time this morning...it was not nice
didn't have to feed her in public today as she didn't wake up till we were leaving, but had to hide upstairs at the PILs as she was being too nosey to concentrate on my norks!

derlor · 01/07/2007 19:52

honestly, some people have NO table manners!!!!

derlor · 01/07/2007 19:53

just going to read DD her bedtime story and tuck her in, back in 10 mins (2 down, 1 to go!!)

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 19:54

i'll try that!

wish i could sort out the slurping though. it used to be at the start of a feed now its all the way through!

just found out that the bf cafe up the road from me shuts for the school hols so will only be on for another three weeks
wtf you are supposed to do for six weeks I don't bloody know!

derlor · 01/07/2007 19:55

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 20:03

derlor · 01/07/2007 20:20

derlor · 01/07/2007 20:21

WTF has Joss Stone done to her hair???!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 20:27

I'll keep you posted Derlor on my scottish movements. We could meet off the M74 somewhere....Moffat maybe and I can buy some Moffat Toffee...although that's probably miles and miles from you...my SW geography is appalling!

Rumour has it that Robbie will be joining Take That ....according to a thread I was reading earlier.

Watching Coast.....they're going on about the corrosion in the cables on the Forth Bridge and how they can't stop it and how it may snap at any time . Will definately do m74, then over to Kincardine in future!!

derlor · 01/07/2007 20:41

i'll believe it when i see it re Robbie
Moffat is about an hour from me, i'd be happy to meet you there.
Re road bridge my DH sails ships under it for a living and he has fears of it crashing down on his head one day!!!!

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 20:46

Yay, that would be great
I'll let you know when I'm coming up there!

Coast is around my stomping grounds along the Firth of Forth.....I'm feeling very very homesick

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 20:47

Is you DH navy or does he sail ferries?

bumperlicious · 01/07/2007 20:49

I'm such a PFB mother aren't I? . It's been non-stop feeding and changing today!

We are watching the concert too. All I can't here in the background is taunting me! Well it's better than suck suck suck off my norks!

derlor · 01/07/2007 20:49
