I can't believe the May thread is so excited that their babies are arriving. That time in our lives seems like soooooo long ago .

Gorgeous pics kitty!

muppethasakitten · 14/06/2007 18:19

Kitty - lovely pics... ronnie looks a bit like your older son doesn't he? was it you on tv today... was oit at midday.... will try to catch the 8pm repeat...

piff - very impressed at your riding prowess and at your riding accident! Am I being nosy asking what on earth happened? I'd like to think I'm too much of a novice for something seriously bad to go wrong.... for starters I don't go fast enough - also mostly in a school at the mo...

mossy - welcome back with the name you were destined to have!!! How did you get on with the HV? or was it the la leche person? Sure you said you were seeing someone today!!

Diva - i bet all the kids were cooing over Elsie! Hope you've had your kiss and hug by now.

Callie - I used to love shopping in Kookai when i was single and working!!! Don't think i could fit my bum into any of their clothes now

Hope Jay is okay. Is she on any other threads?

foxcub · 14/06/2007 18:22

Kitty - Ronnie has a really grown up face!!

BTW does he still do smelly farts all the time?

Monti has stopped pooing (we get a poo every 10 days atm) but, my ghod, he is farting for England.

They are very smelly

Is that what you meant by "that new born smell" ?

Diva glad your trip went well and Elsie enjoyed the day out on the coach

Piffle at your riding accidents!

foxcub · 14/06/2007 18:23

Callie/Muppet - Kokai reminds me of when I was young and thin!

foxcub · 14/06/2007 18:24

Kookai I mean

Piffle · 14/06/2007 19:14

Fab pics Kitty he looks such a cheky little fellow!
Muppet my pony reared up and went right over and landed on me - but I have also been shot into a thick steel wall after same pony bolted on me - barebakc while neck reining in a halter to put her back in her field thankfully I always wore a helmet on that fruitcake of a pony.
My bones are creaking now - that wrist I've been moaning about = horse related injury too...

Glad the Mossy is back
hope the non posters of late pop up soon I hope Jays is alright she was having some rotten problems with Jensen wasn't she?

divastrop · 14/06/2007 20:49

kitty-ronnie looks like your ds2,doesnt he?he has great hair!it reminds me of dd1's hair when she was a baby.

dd1 got sent home from school today as she is ill(i did tell her to stay off but she insisted).before she went to bed i said 'youre staying off tomorrow' and she said 'NO!im ok!i want to go to school!' so i tried to explain she should have a rest and get properly better etc and she started crying so i said 'ok,ok,see how you are in the morning' and she said 'im going to pretend to be well so i can go to school'.is it me or is that conversation usually the other way round?

muppet-no,still havent got my kiss+hugdp asked what was wrong so i told him and he said i was being silly,we were only apart for a few hours blah blah.its not the point.

does leo post on the multiples threads i wonder?and wasnt jay on another post natal thread from when she had her dd?i wonder if she still posts on there.i sound like a stalker.i just wonder about people when they disappear.

Buona sera

Finally got round to posting - we are off to italy first thing sat morning so havebeeen running around like a maniac trying to sort things out. Got a list of 100000 jobs for tomorrow but DD1 is at nursery, DD2 is a little peach and I am up for it. Woolworths in brixton will not defeat me.

Kitty - lovely pics. Mossy - lovely dress. Would carry on riding ladies if you wear protective stuff. A friend of mine wears a chest thing as she cracked a rib once in a fall.

I'll be on again tomorrow and hope to be able to reply properly. Gone are the days when I had the notebook out to jot things down to reply to. More likely now I have th eboob out as I write.

Love to all XXXX

okay who else has a cot traveller?
No matter how low I put Finn in the cot, no matter that I place a barrier under his sheet he still gets to the top and tonight got sideways and stuck
No to grobags as he did it wearing one

My mum has been here last 3 days and has been a great help most of the time and a pain in the arse the rest

Says Finn is spoilt as I cannot put him down on his own... I am happy to infact he will cry sometimes I just let him go for a few mins, after all a gal has to poo in peace or put the rubbish/washing out right.
She thinks cos he cries that he is spoilt

and even worse last nioght I had one can of lager ONE WHOLE CAN to myself.
I have a really bad sore throat/cold and last night at 1am threw up - just retching from coughing due to sore/dry throat.
this morning mum says " I heard you being sick, I didn't realise you had that much to drink"
I nearly lamped her

Then even far far far mroe muchest worser
Dp and I are considering buying another house, an older style in the village sth of here where dd will be at school. Mentioed it to mum and she said
"oooh it's rural there, get one with enough space for a granny flat or static home"

I nearly died I swear....
So tonight I am chilling..................... as she ahs gone

Piffle · 14/06/2007 22:23

dolly have a gorgeous holiday lucky you we've not had one in 5 years as dd does not cope with change that well - we are hoping this year we can do some weekends so am v v v

spongecake · 14/06/2007 22:48

hope you have lovely hols Dolly lucky thing.
piffle lol at your mums suggestion at a granny flat. i am staying with mil for 2 weeks in august and am already having conversations with myself where i practice being assertive i have a long way to go
piffle , if am not being too nosy was it eventing, showjumping?? that you did?

am so tired, no energy left after trailing round looking for a wedding dress, trying on dress with bf bra on-big mistake- shop assistant said "surely if you bf they get smaller, as the milk runs out" er, no!

kiwibella · 15/06/2007 07:20

Hi everyone... we arrived home yesterday and it's brill to be back - if only to be with my hubs again . Kate managed much better this trip which made it so much easier. People complimented her travelling as we got off the plane but there had to be one git who pointed out that she cried for a bit as we left Melbourne.

I have buggered up her bottle feeding!! She won't take one and screams the place down if I try to put a bottle in her mouth. I can only think that this is to do with introducing a pacifier - which I was doing last week hoping it would help with the flight. She chewed it a little and forced it out with her tongue and wasn't interested at all.

Piffle, you boozy bird!! Aren't parents the greatest with their comments .

Bless your dd Diva - if only all kids looked forward to school so much. I hope that she is well enough to go in today.

Congrats on the modelling job for Monti, Fox. Wonder where we will see him next?

Mossy - great to see you back and sounding so much more positive.

Have a brill holiday Dolly.

Very envious of the horse-riders. It sounds like such a relaxing thing to do (in an on your own, wind blowing through your hair kinda way!!)

OP posts:
foxcub · 15/06/2007 09:18

Hi everyone

Kiwi - glad you had a good time and nice to have you back

Dolly - have a fabuloso holiday in Italy

Piffle - you Mum sounds a card!!! I'm sure she means well. Reminds me of why I live 2.5 hours drive from mine LOL

DS1 came home from school yesterday with his first pets - five hairy bright green caterpillars in a jar. On of his friends bought the jar in for him, another supplied the stopper for the top, another got some leaves and another collected the mini beasts and put them in.

he's completely besotted with them and sits with the crawling all over him!

muppethasakitten · 15/06/2007 09:53

piff - I think I'm going to get myself a body protector. Always insist dd wears hers so don't know why I never put one on myself. Your pony sounds like it was a handful!! I like complete numpty horses who are too lazy to do anything energetic - don't know why i got talked into riding this spooky mare the other day... won't do it again until i'm much more confident and capable. Yes, I'm nosy like sponge! what did you do when you were top riding celeb type person???

Foxy - what sort of caterpillars are they? My dd and ds1 are obsessed with the critters and are forever hatching out minibeasts. dd has a moth box she puts out at night - we have caught the most beautiful huge hawk moths in it! Last year for her b'day she hatched some Atlas Hawk moths... they were huge!!

Kitty - it had better bloody be you today!!!

Diva - can't you just grab dp yourself and force him to hug you! That's the sort of thing I've been known to resort to!

Kiwi - glad you're back safe and sound. Well done on coping with the flights.

Dolly - we're going to Italy in september. Which bit are you off to?

Booboobedoo · 15/06/2007 10:04

Pet caterpillars: bless his cotton socks foxy.

Piffle: well done for not lamping your Mum. It sounds as though you were sorely tested. DS is a cot-traveller to. In fact, he never stops moving. i put him down on his tummy to show relatves the other day, and he crawled forward two inches. Bugger.

Dolly: I said this on the lardy thread too, but have a fantastic time! You and yor family really deserve a proper break!

Welcome back Bella! And well done for travelling with your LO. I'm far too scared. Btw, I know quite a few kids who'd never take bottles. I think some children just won't. Have you tried a beaker?

Spongecake: good luck with your dress-hunting.

Diva: I hope DS likes school as much as your DD seems to!

Really went for it at DS' bed-time last night. Put the fleece in his basket, then swaddled his arms. He went from 19:00-10:30 (when I woke him up), 11:00-03:45, then 04:20-07:15. Hooray!

kittywits · 15/06/2007 10:43

Muppet, on the dvd I got given it said '12' on the front, so I don't know whether that means I'm 12th in line. In which case it would be next weds. I think.
Anyways, hello all. Sorry, bleeding manic here, no time. Desperate to do some callanetics in the short time I get when the crazy dd3 is kipping.
Ronnie now only wakes once in the night and goes down at 7.30. Horray. DD2 wakes every night now though .

kittywits · 15/06/2007 10:47

Great to have you back Kiwi, hope you had a good time.

Dolly have a brill holiday and enjoy all that lovely food and wine.

Boo, that's great news, do you feel more rested?

Fox that reminds me of dd2 who the other day was carrying round a 'pet' beetle in a box. I asked her today where the beetle was and she said she'd given . . I asked if it was dead and she said 'yes' that it couldn't swim

kittywits · 15/06/2007 10:48

meant to say 'she'd given it a bath'

Booboobedoo · 15/06/2007 11:08

I do, thanks kitty! Ronnie's sleep sounds fantastic.

Piffle · 15/06/2007 11:31

Ahhh morning all.
Well Finn has abandoned his long 8-9hr night sleeps - I presume as he is such a big lad he needs an extra feed - fair enough he is quick and quiet about it so probs at all.
So he goes down at 7-8pm gets up for another feed and change, then goes from 9-11.30 where I wake him and top him up then 4.30 then to 8.30am
up for one hour and then down again for anythign from 45 mins to 3 hrs
Madness he is quite boring really
He only ever cries if he is tiredHe is getting noisy next to our bed though as he ahs discovered the pleasure of sucking his fist en route to sucking his thumb so slurps away... I recall this is why dd ended up in her own room at 4 mths, but so love feeding from my own bed and am not going to turf him out yet....

Horses I rode from very young, pony club etc then one day eventing eventually preferring dressage (obvious reasons less hazardous when your horse is a fruitloop)
I also left school after exams to work on horse breeding/training farm - got to keep ym ponies there for free and had work with foals and breaking in and riding young horses.
I had last accident in 1989 broke nose collarbone and had my 8th serious concussion in 5 years so was told by doctors NO more competitive riding. So was devastated, had to leave job, sell ponies everything it had been my life.

Jaysecond · 15/06/2007 12:35

BOO

i am back, although for how long i dont know. The boy - Jensen, has finally been diagnosed as having silent reflux and has been given Ranitadine, three times a day... If only they had listened to me at bloody three weeks when i mentioned it to the doctor....
Anyway, he is taking 4oz bottles now - i ended up stopping BF at 10 weeks as i was a wreck and feeding every hour, day and night to try and stop the continious crying, i was gutted about stopping as i had such a good flow and supply and had had no problems with latching etc... anyway, i developed mastitus as a result of engorgement and him never emptying me, and that lasted for ever... blah blah blah all the same old shit...i think i got a bit depressed with everything had major rows over nothing with DH , in fact still am, had a horrendous high score on the questionaire thing the HV does, so i have to have it repeated....so the upshot is, hes taking a bit more milk now, doesnt cry quite so much and i am just waiting for the day when he will sleep longer at night time, because thats the worst thing, no sleep, is a killer!

Hope i havnt rambled on and bored you all, and i hope it all makes sense, hope everyone is ok, will have a read and try and catch up on news.. wasnt there a meet that happened??

HUgs to all

muppethasakitten · 15/06/2007 12:36

blimey piffle

do you ever ride just for a bit of fun now... or is there no joy for you in riding numpty horses like me

Shrinkinglily · 15/06/2007 13:02

Jay -Great to see you back. I'm glad things are slowly starting to slip into place. It has been so hard for you and you are doing great. Making progress in small steps by the sound of it.
