Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
BigHotMama · 01/04/2007 20:35

Ohmygod NBG! You were the last person I was expecting to hear that from...but I was only wondering who would be the first on here to announce this. Congratulations! Feel free to let it all out we're all here for you hun, how has your dh taken the news? And how many weeks are you? I cant believe it!

Burstin, nice to see ya back! Jackson is doing same as Joe with the shuffling backwards and rolling to get where he wants. Hoping he might go forwards soon lol

Nbg · 01/04/2007 20:36

lol at your shock BHM.

I think I'm 11 weeks as I had a really light period last month and the result came up on the test stright away so it makes me think if I'm further on, the HCG levels will be high.

nikki81 · 01/04/2007 20:44

Hi Everyone. Georgina is my second, I also have a 4 year old. It's going well although Georgina is into everything and doesn't stop. Just wondering what you all have for your LO's to play with. I have a stationary play gym that they stand in, just put the bouncer away, she wont sit in the bumbo (she got out of it the other day!) she rolls everywhere and is near to sitting up. Im debating getting a walker. I need something to keep her entertained!! Any ideas?

BigHotMama · 01/04/2007 20:47

Are you having any morning sickness yet? And that nasty taste in your mouth?
I'm sure in time you'll feel better about it as your probably still in shock yourself, I cant imagine how your feeling though. Scared, excited and worried all at the same time I guess?

BigHotMama · 01/04/2007 20:49

Hiya Nikki, my ds loves his walker he can now do a 3-point turn and go backwards in it lol, also has a door bouncer, but generally loves to just roll about and pick toys up I scatter all over the room.

evening all

forgot to ask nbg , I know todays been heavy going , but I havent asked about your dad???

heya snow , sounds like u all having a rough time of it , poor youuu xxx

nikki81 , not sure I said hellooo yet, dd2 enjoys things that arent toys at the mo. I had a student nanny here and I set her a treasure basket project and she used stuff from my house. Dd2's fave is my wooden ramen spoon , small fabric ribbon peices (big enough to hold and knaw , but not too long for strangling), shiny plasticy wrapping paper that cant be torn and a wooden lemon squeezer thingy.

other than that she just shimmys around the flooor in the kitchen and gets hersel up a small step (about 2")and slides back down it.

Snowboo · 01/04/2007 21:23

Welcome Nikki

NBG!!!! OMG!!!! I didn't have you down as the 1st..... (I really thought Pinky might have an announcement LOL, sorry PT!! )
If its any help my friend had her two boys very close. There is one year and two weeks between them. It was a bit tough to start but now they are a bit older she is so glad. Congrats to you, once you get over the shock it'll be fine hun x

Hi Mels, haven't seen you about for ages!
And Pinky, hello!!!!!

Well we have another tooth. Explains his cold etc. And he is bottom shuffling now as the crawling must've got boring. And walking from one piece of furniture to another. Oh how life changes when you have a mover lol.

Not much else to report really.

Has the meet up been decided yet?

Nbg · 01/04/2007 21:24

Tell you what, all come to my place next week while dh is in Austria

eenybeeny · 02/04/2007 11:52

NBG!!!!!!!!

OH MY GOD!!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!

I am so but so so so happy for you!

olivo · 02/04/2007 12:21

nbg, how are you feeling today? a bit calmer i hope.
i am far from calm as dd starts nursery today and i have to try and explain BLW - i really hope they back me up on it!

nikki - my dd also loves anything except toys! wooden spoon, watches, remote controls, mobiles and....'her' cardboard box!! we have a toddler slide in the back garden which she loves. dont have baby walker (BHM, is yours on wheels?) but she still loves her door bouncer, although she goes wild in it. and she loves shuffling under the coffee table

PinkTulips · 02/04/2007 13:41

ahem.... if anyone feels like scrolling down you'll see i had my money on melsy or nbg so i think i win the bet

congratulations nbg.... i know it seems like a lot to deal with now but these things work out in the end. you're stronger than you give yourself credit for. {{{{hugs}}}}

Nbg · 02/04/2007 14:07

Afternoon all.

I am a bit calmer today although still really shocked.
I've been in touch with the midwife but she was very busy so I havent made an appt with her yet.

eenybeeny · 02/04/2007 16:10

BigHotMama · 02/04/2007 16:53

NBG hope your ok chick, bet it will take a while for it to sink in and am sure you'll be fine as your a great mom from what i know of you.

Olivo, ds' walker is a chicco UFO on wheels, he loves it..he keeps bashing my feet now and we have to run as soon as we put him i it as he runs you over

Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Well my MW called and I have my booking in appt on Thursday and shes coming to me and I will have my scan next week when dh is away but my mum will be here so its not that bad.
MW thinks I'm 11 weeks.

eenybeeny · 03/04/2007 12:41

NBG I had a dream about you last night! I had a dream you made a rap CD and my boss at work bought it.

Anyway... weird huh? You are so lucky to not find out you are pregnant til you are further along, it makes it so you dont have to wait through the horrible first trimester!

BHM your weekend sounds great have a lovely time!

PinkTulips · 03/04/2007 14:10

why did everyone think it would be me?! i'm bloomin infertile til caleb stops feeding every hour day and night!

am though.... would love to get all the baby stuff over and done with sooner rather than later

olivo · 03/04/2007 16:25

lol pink!

just left dd at nursery for a whole hour and she loved it!! she just played with the toys and watched the other babies - they said it was the best visit they'd had (i'm sure they say that to all the parents ). i'm so relieved - she's going to try two hours tomorrow morning. and i've just found out they are open bank holidays [ grin] result!! three baby free days for us in the next two months! sounds mean, dont get me wrong, i love her to bits but will be great to spend some time out with dh!

sorry i'm wittering! i'm in a good mood!

nbg, how are you today?

grannycrackers - when is ds's operation? can we meet up when things are a bit calmer?

Snowboo · 03/04/2007 18:11

I can't believe the sudden rush of messages! Am i the only one who has absolutely no time???? LOL

I'm sitting here for 5 mins while ds1 keeps Aust amused by hiding in our tiny little plate cupboard. Anyone wanna see the pic? Baby is in fits over it. Wonder how i can make it a regular afternoon game?

nbg hope you are ok today love. Would say i'm jealous but still nowhere near broody! You really are going to be fine. One day you'll look back and laugh.

grannyquackersleetlefuffychick · 03/04/2007 22:43

snowboo, i end up doing mumsnet when i'm working on my computer doing letters for my business or checking emails. i am such a skiver
nbg - congratulations. will that be an october baby?
olivo - we go to london on the 18th of april, the op is on the 19th and if it all goes well we return on the 22nd. there will be some minor stuff to finish off in jersey, but yes, that would be nice to meet perhaps around mid may?

Nbg · 04/04/2007 07:45

Yep Granny, EDD so far is 23/10. We'll see next week.

Lol at your dream Eeny
Maybe it was a vision, pmsl!

olivo · 04/04/2007 09:29
