Yes Rrra you do. And here's some biscuits, cream cakes and a sticky bun to keep you going. Hope he is doing ok and gets better soon. It's crap being in hospital but he's in the best place just now. I'll be thinking of you tonight FlowersCakeBrewWine

rrra · 12/11/2015 19:05

This is totally shit. They have just taken him away from me for a precautionary lumbar puncture. He must be so scared without me.

Give all of your babies a cuddle for me. They are precious, even if they don't always sleep.

FattyNinjaOwl · 12/11/2015 19:40

rrra its just precautionary, try not to worry. Flowers easier said than done obviously.

everythingispeachy · 12/11/2015 19:53

Oh that is shit. I hope he is back already and after a cuddle from mummy he won't remember a thing about it. Hard for you though. Flowers

mzzzf · 12/11/2015 20:21

Oh rrra bless him and you!!! Rather they try and solve the issues than not, crappola for you though. Do you understand everything that's happening? Need any explanations? I hope he's back with you now though and you're being looked after too!

Lilydreams · 12/11/2015 20:36

Oh Rra sending you all the goodies in lidl and waitrose put together. I know it's awful they've took him off you but my friends son had one done when he was born and they told them to get some lunch whilst it was done as its not nice to watch- they timed it wrong and my friend walked back in as they did it and was absolutely mortified- it's much worse for parents to see than for the little ones to have it. I know that probably won't make you feel better but just wanted to say it looks worse than it is which is why they will have taken him.

Giraffescandance1 · 12/11/2015 21:49

Oh rraaa you poor thing, I hope he's back with you and feeling better now. I'll add lots of m&s goodies and Percy Pigs for you Flowers

Joskar · 12/11/2015 21:59

Oh no! Fingers crossed for you, rrra. Thinking on you. You're in the best place for getting help. Xxx

sianihedgehog · 12/11/2015 22:07

Omg, rra, you poor thing. I hope your little one is better soon.

rrra · 12/11/2015 22:20

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately he had a funny turn and went a bit purple after the LP. So he is now in a HDU bed, on high flow air, drip and feeding tube. They just wanted to take all pressure off of his little body. But initial tests have all come back ok, and he has improved so fingers crossed. They'll review him again tomorrow and decide whether we can go home and come back for last dose of anti b or whether he needs to stay in for another 24 hours.

Frolicacid · 12/11/2015 22:48

Oh god rrra, that sounds so horrible for you both. Console yourself that he won't remind any of this in no time. Good news that all the tests are clear.
Thinking of you Flowers

I hope everyone else is ok and that the bar isn't too busy tonight.

Frolicacid · 12/11/2015 22:49

*remind = remember

kbro79 · 12/11/2015 22:51

Oh rrra sending you lots of love. How horribly stressful but pleased tests come back ok. Will be thinking of you both Flowers

Lilydreams · 12/11/2015 22:52

Oh Rra I'm so sorry. Just remember he's in the best place and good that the tests are clear. Keeping my fingers crossed that you are both home and snugged up this time tommorrow. CakeFlowersBrew

FattyNinjaOwl · 12/11/2015 22:55

Flowers rrra I hope everything is OK. Glad tests are all clear. He's in the best place, and he's got his mummy, what more could he want? And he definitely won't remember.

Slowifeandthegrumpydwarfs · 12/11/2015 22:58

Right, just sped read the last page. You've all been chatty today.

Bloody hell rrra what a day. I hope you are both okay now, how frightening. Sending you lots of good thoughts and best wishes xx

Scots: hope you are not getting too blown away. May the sleep be with you all.

mzzzf our star snug arrived today as well, and yes, medium is huge! Am considering returning it for the small but then she is growing so quickly i might regret that too.

Well done to all the runners, crunchers and general exercisers. You have my awe and respect. Today's exercise at the dwarf house has constituted a walk into town for coffee and cake with the nct. Ooops.

Night, night all x

Grok · 12/11/2015 23:36

rra, hope you and the little one are doing ok. What a scary thing to go through. My fingers are crossed for you.

I've been keeping up to date but not coming into Mugabe Nights... Been sick and am dealing with a clingy baby who's not sleeping too well. DH had to work from home today because I physically didn't have the energy to look after the baby.

I'm sure I'll be seeing some of you in Mugabe later! I'll be at the bar drinking tea!

FattyNinjaOwl · 12/11/2015 23:38

slow that badge Shock my eyes hurt! Grin

Dozygirl · 12/11/2015 23:43

Rrrr u poor thing. How scary for u. As a nurse I know it easier for parents not to see an LP being performed but as a mum now I can completely understand why u would want to be with him. Hopefully with a little help now he'll be on the road to recovery. Bronchiolitis is a horrible disease for these little ones. It can make them so poorly.

Well my once easy to put down to bed at night baby as turned into a little terror. She is now asleep in her cot but because I stroked her to sleep. Something i do not want to get into a habit of doing but had no choice tonight. She cried a little bit then settled with a dummy but then out of the blue screamed blue murder like something had terrified her. It broke my heart and I've no idea where it came from. Dp said he'd coughed so perhaps as she was just drifting off the sudden noise scared her, I'm not sure. But it was a hideous noise coming from her, poor little frightened baby :( at least she is asleep though unlike last night where she slept with me all night. Hopefully she'll sleep through. Isn't it funny how for weeks now she's been happy to be put down in her crib after her bottle and will drift off to sleep but all of a sudden she decides she won't do that now.

It's very windy here too. I am a north westerner too.

Lily I love skiing in Scotland and the snow has been pretty good in recent years. The main problem is the wind which means the mountain can be shut so u have to time it well which obv isn't it.

I didn't even bother going to weigh in today at weightwtcher. Stayed the same for 2 weeks now. So depressing. I suck at diets. I'm not even filling in the app points anymore. I get bored so easily. Anyway I've stuck to it today more or less so hopefully another week will see a loss instead of yoyoing over the weekend.

Anyone else joining me in Mugabe Nights? DD hasn't even let me go to bed yet...

Slowifeandthegrumpydwarfs · 13/11/2015 03:20

Ha ha fatty! Thought you'd appreciate that Grin. The woman at the club thought she must be their youngest season ticket holder.

I'm here grok, sorry to hear you've been ill. Good news that your DP was able to wfh to support you both. Hope you feel better soon.

rrra how's it going at the hospital?

Good night here, this is our first wake up / feed since grumpy 2 went down at 7:45pm. Hopefully we are over our temporary sleeping hump. I feel for you dozy it's so hard when they regress after you've got used to the sleep!!

All done here. Catch you all later Smile

Giraffescandance1 · 13/11/2015 05:48

Slow congratulations, after 3am is a great achievement for sleep! What is a star snug?

Grok poor you, hope you're sleeping now, crazy babies!

rraaa I'm so glad that hopefully baby is on the mend. take care of yourself and ask your dp for lots of help as this must've been a frightening experience Flowers

I'm having the usual at Mugabe Nights. Had a cocktail at 2.15, which wasn't a bad time for the first feed and another at 5.30. The tricky thing about post 5am feeds is that I tend to find I don't sleep again afterwards, as dd1 is up anytime from 6.

See you all in the Mugabe cafe for breakfast.

Dozygirl · 13/11/2015 06:52

This is dd in her star snug. It's way too big. Trying to win a small on ebay but they keep going for too much.

Things are in perspective of me having a 'shitty' night in comparison to rrra's.
Mini mzzzf screamed for 90mins then went down at around 9.15pm. Cue me legging it round doing jobs I couldn't do in the day and sorting the dogs. I was in bed before 10pm though and slept as she did until she woke at 1pm. A little face stroking and she was off again until 4am, tried shushing again but then realised I was a bad mum and she needed feeding!! Balls!! She then dropped off again at 5.15 and woke for the day at 6.30. I've had an extra 1.5hrs sleep on last night so feel much better but I can't wait for a proper overnight stretch!!

Trees are down in the garden but nothing catastrophic as yet, although more weathery weather is expected today. I may well get into the giant star snug myself!!!!

BUT ladies it is FRIIIIIIIDAY! Grin Even though I'm not at work I still love Fridays!!

Have a grand day all Grin
