Oh no Pis! That is so something I would do.

My hayfever is pretty bad Cym so am mostly taking contraband which still isn't really cutting it. My eyes are fine though thankfully.

I tried some solids today but she wasn't interested. Wants to bf constantly though Hmm .

teejayem · 03/07/2015 07:58

Just hosed myself, TT, and the bed in milk. Looks like yesterday's feeding marathon has over egged the supply a bit. Poor little guy got it right in the face. :(

JuniDD · 03/07/2015 09:36

Ha wil on a losing streak with solids here. How old is micro now?

tee the arm of the sofa is stained from frequent hosing in the early days. The little punk has started pulling off at letdown again lately too. Angry Angry

pixie I need some of what you've got. Nine years here and could gladly never have sex again!! Wink Wink

She's only 5 1/2 months Juni so I just did it to see what would happen and because she still wants to feed half the night.

They love a milk squirt in the face Tee, it's like extreme breastfeeding Wink

ZylaB · 03/07/2015 09:55

Extreme breastfeeding hehe Grin

I know H is 4 weeks behind developmentally from being early, bu I'm going to try her with some finger foods from 6 months, she's started watching me eat now and I want her to be able to try stuff when we go away!

Minion · 03/07/2015 10:08

Weaning is a massive hit here! She can't get enough of it, poor kid went off milk, don't blame her it smells rank, but get her within a mile of a yogurt and watch her go nuts !
We've also made massive progress in self settling ¡ I can now put her in her cot and listen to get drift off on her own!
Bliss

WilHarlot · 03/07/2015 10:24

God Min, I can only dream of that!

Definitely start at 6m zyla, they need the calories.

WilHarlot · 03/07/2015 10:29

Sorry, baby hit 'send'. Meant to say they need the calories for moving etc according to our bf HV who is generally very knowledgeable. Although not sure how many calories this one will actually get going by yesterday's effort. My friend's baby won't eat solids though and she's 7m and fine.

KatoPotato · 03/07/2015 10:41

I'm here sorry!

I lost the last Fred but looks like O might be asleep now (on me obvs!)

Ok so.

Name: Kato
Children: DS1 - 5yo and DS2 8 weeks today!

KatoPotato · 03/07/2015 10:42

Jet of milk straight up the nostril for DS2 this morning

ZylaB · 03/07/2015 12:08

I can't imagine H will get many calories to start off with, suspect she'll just smear it everywhere..can't wait! Grin

Put her on the playmat and went in the kitchen, came back and she's still on her back, but facing the other way, so head where her toes were..looking pleased with herself lol.

JuniDD · 03/07/2015 12:14

Conversely, I've read "food is fun before they're one and they get all their calories from milk". As babyj is a food refused, more or less this is now my mantra! I lovingly hand expressed milk to make porridge fingers this morning...straight on the floor. Also refuses a spoon...gonna be skinny like her daddy.

Just had to get that off my chest as it stressing me out!!!!!

teejayem · 03/07/2015 12:51

Extreme breastfeeding and milk jets are the order of the day! I didn't realise how sticky boob milk is!!

I am feeding and pumping, the girls are filling up faster than TT can eat, and I need to restock the fridge supply so Mr tee can take him off me a bit this weekend, just realised I've not actually left the house since Monday as have been trapped under feeding infant....

Pisghetti · 03/07/2015 13:14

Haa the tit jets... I dribbled milk all over BabyPis this morning from my spare boob. It had made its way out of my bra to try and get in on the action (I was lying down - I don't have a boob with opposable thumbs).

Finally made it to a Buggyfit class this morning. I was the only one there (it's quite new and the instructor is still trying to spread the word!). My god I can hardly walk now Confused regretting doing sweet FA throughout pregnancy now although in fairness there's only so much SPD will let you do.

House still reeks of burnt plastic

PixieChops · 03/07/2015 16:00

Lol Pis about burnt dummies! I have burnt everything else apart from those.

I can't join in with the milk jet fun as I'm FF however OH was playing with my boobs last night and I was worried he'd start producing milk. That would've been romantic Confused

Being dragged to some cricket match thing tonight and taking the kids but I don't care because 1. I get to have a drink and 2. I am free of the night shift! Huzzah!
In repayment for dragging me to something I have no interest in I'm returning the favour by dragging OH to a classical music concert at Tatton Park.. Mwahahaha!!!

ZylaB · 03/07/2015 16:18

juni I've heard and read about food being fun until one and am going to continue with boobage, but am looking forward to her playing with food!

Minion · 03/07/2015 19:11

pixie, you going to the war of the Roses cricket match perchance? Husband has just realised it was tonight and is gutted.

Frig it's hot again.

RPopz · 03/07/2015 20:57

Eeek Pis! Shock

I heard food before 1 is just for fun too. I think their iron supplies start to deplete after 6 months which is why you're supposed to try and start weaning. But they can still get everything they need from milk. We've done our first full day of BLW today. The dog's eaten like a king, not so sure about miniPopz! Grin

Extreme breastfeeding lolz. I'm really rubbish at keeping track of which side I'm on nowadays so usually end up with one gigantaboob and squirting everywhere. The glamour.

WilHarlot · 03/07/2015 21:06

Sorry Juni, that wasn't meant to stress you out. BabyJ will eat when she's ready, they're all different. I didn't even bother trying to offer anything today.

ZylaB · 03/07/2015 21:20

Right, I've got 6 bottles worth of milk in the freezer, H is asleep, I'm getting completely pissed because I haven't for sooooo long! MrZ is on baby duty until I'm fit in the morning, and kellymom website reassures me I don't need to pump and dump, when my blood alcohol levels reduce so do my milk alcohol levels though I may not feed her in the morning if I feel like shit!

JuniDD · 03/07/2015 21:27

ah wil you didn't stress me, its an ongoing thing! Feeding her is so emotional for me and trying to get it "right" all wrapped up in hoping she is less fussy than me. The responsibility for someone's healthy relationship with food weighs heavy some days...mine could be better. Thanks Thanks

cookielove · 03/07/2015 21:27

Tis true food is fun till there 1, but I like that E has a good routine now, he has three bottles and three meals a day. And two naps slotted in and it works really well. Of course it's now gonna go tits up cause he is starting nursery soon.

zyla I thought your lo was almost 6 months which is why I suggested the water, apology's if I offended you.

Fwi, are neonatel Dr suggested weaning/feeding E early due to his prematurity, I weaned/gave food at 5 1/2 months although hardly anything and very slowly!

PixieChops · 03/07/2015 22:15

Don't know what the match was but it was ex England players versus a local 1st team, it was quite good actually, a few of OHs friends were there who I get on with and they all made a fuss of pest 1 & 2.
I did have some cider but only had half s bottle and started feeling tipsy! I don't think my alcohol tolerance is anywhere near what it used to be! I used to struggle to get drunk off 6 or 7 double rum and cokes- reckon I'll be able to drink 2 now and I'll be on my arse. Not good but at least I'll be a cheap night out haha.
OH is playing cricket all day tomorrow but he's been kind and is sleeping on the sofa with DS (he'll be in his carrycot) so I can have a full nights sleep, my first once in over 2 weeks. I'm really excited and I'll be full of beans tomorrow Smile

WilHarlot · 03/07/2015 22:21

Cookie you have such a good routine. We still don't have one. I'm clinging onto the idea we can get into one after the summer once nursery starts...

Ah Juni, you can't shoulder the responsibility for her eating preferences by yourself. MrWil and I are the two least fussy people on the planet and we have somehow reared the fussiest toddler who pretty much won't eat a single healthy thing. She weaned like a dream too, loved the vegetables. But is now a nightmare to feed. They are who they are and the best thing you can do is to stay relaxed about it.

WilHarlot · 03/07/2015 22:23

Pixie I am so jealous of your impending night's sleep. Been at least five and a half months since I've had one (everyone get your violins out).
