Well done rolling R and good luck for tonight cookie.

Apparently I refused to go on a walk...I wasn't asked and he spent all day outside. Meant to be a bloody mindreader now on top of everything else. Angry

Is he grumpy because he's tired Juni? Give him a bottle and send him off for a nap Wink .

Good luck Cookie.

Well done R!

It all goes so fast Juni. It's even worse second time around. Feel like I've blinked and three months has disappeared.

Nessalina · 07/04/2015 04:46

Morning all. Its 4:30 and I think I've had about 2hrs sleep Confused He's teething and I've got a stupid tickly cough! DH goes to the US for 9 days tomorrow - I'm flying solo for the first time! Appreciate that I'm lucky to have him about so much, but slightly bricking it... Just me and J ALL DAY Shock
Juni, I know just what you mean, he's 5 months this week, and it feels like we're on the cusp of New Stuff, weaning, moving into his own room, getting the proper buggy out... It's like he's all grown up already God I need to get a grip too! Grin
Popz - you made me snort with the sharting - puppy pads is a bloody great idea though, don't know why I didn't think of it! I've got some massive incontinance pads from when I had the fear about waters going on my new mattress, so I'll have to fish them out! Smile

willywallace · 07/04/2015 05:20

Fuuuck just accidentally deleted a massive post. Can't type it out again - basically laughing at the sharting children and commiserating with your impending abandonment Ness.

MiniWil isn't well and has woken up babywil. MrWil (aware this sounds ridiculous but I'm a wee bit sick in my mouth every time I type DP or DD) has taken her into the spare bed and given her the ipad to stop her from screaming. He's obviously hoping to go back to sleep but I can here her saying "wook Daddy" Grin . I think for once he'll be getting less sleep than me!

Minion · 07/04/2015 08:18

Oh dear, sharts in the mouth popz! That's one of my fears. Minion don't do scat, accidental or otherwise.
juni, you can do it! You're brave! I did one night, bricked it. Turns out she slept.
wil, ack, I hate all the DP,DD,DH,dd etc etc too. Much prefer MrWil.

Someone did another twelve hours last night with bottle at 12 and 6. Loving this but I know the sleep regression is around the corner, so feel free to smirk next week when I'm zombied out.

ZylaB · 07/04/2015 08:58

There's a kids book called 'scat' it used to make me smirk every time I saw icon the library shelf at work! Grin

WilHarlot · 07/04/2015 09:02

I've never heard that term before.

She won't necessarily go backwards Min and if she does it'll just be for a week or two. Is it a pain in the arse doing bottles in the night?

ZylaB · 07/04/2015 10:15

One of my NCT ladies says she takes her perfect prep machine upstairs at bed time!

I need to ask doc what the weight formula is for ranitidine dosage. H is really gurgly/chokey last night and today. She did sleep in two 3.5hour slots but wouldn't go down again at 5am because she was so gurgly, I think she needs a bit more. Am seeing doc on fri for her 8 week check so will ask!

With regards to that, it's her first vaccination on fri, do I need to do anything for her? Can she have calpol? Will she need it? :)

WilHarlot · 07/04/2015 11:00

I noticed after a few weeks some reflux symptoms seemed to come back a bit but they settled back down. Maybe after I changed my diet though. They have to put on quite a lot of weight for the dosage to go up. The GP told me she needed to put on 0.8kg to go up by 0.1ml so basically we're waiting until she gets to 5 kilos. Getting her weighed today.

You can give her a dose of calpol before if you'd like to. I found she screamed the whole evening after them and threw up the calpol so maybe giving it to her first when she's calm might help. It says the dosage on the bottle.

JuniDD · 07/04/2015 11:25

My dd was fine after all her jabs but good to get it in ready just in case. Smile.

We are going to IKEA to get a cot...wish us luck and sob sob sob times are changing.

FurryScoob · 07/04/2015 11:59

Only the second lot of injections made miniscoob abit grumpy the rest just made her sleep a lot.

Just piled up 0-3 clothes, baby bath & Moses basket to go in the garage, can't believe how much stuff we got given that never got used.

Miniscoob has had a busy 24 hours learning the joys of bath farts & porridge facials, it's all fun when your 4 months old!

ZylaB · 07/04/2015 12:01

Aww good luck juni it'll be fine!

Thanks wil

H had been working on it for a while, but we definately had some yesterday and today - the baby smiles at people and when happy! Grin

JuniDD · 07/04/2015 14:02

Phew, we did it! She has a cot (to go next to my side of the bed. MrJ is going hack it), mattress and we have lots of frames to put on the walls. I guess I need to get some sheets next? A shopportunity sweetens the blow. Wink.

Mmmkay, I'm feeling peer pressured into changing my ways, I'll start calling her BabyJ. She's more of a mini-MrJ than a mini-Juni.

JuniDD · 07/04/2015 14:04

Also, I need a whole summer wardrobe as it's scorchio down here today and I doubt I'll get any of my old summer clothes over my shoulders. I think my maternity stuff will be knackered...finding the time to sort it all out...not easy!

She is currently teasing me by almost rolling over...then not.

OP posts:
WilHarlot · 07/04/2015 15:00

I think she's quite like you Juni. Ikea cots are a different size to normal ones I think, so not sure if you need to get bedding from there? I've just realised we have an IKEA cot too so let me know if that's the case!

Furry how old is DD now? They're all getting so big.

TheBooMonster · 07/04/2015 15:33

MicroBoo slept in her cot last night. I think. There is a small possibility I'm so sleep deprived I dreamt it... she went down from 00:30 to 2:30 then from about 4:00 till about 7:30! and the night before she managed a similar feat, think the solution is to do a 'lay down on our sides' feed till she falls asleep and then move her across. Though it makes a bit of a mess as the top boob sort of free flows even with a bra on Shock Just wait, she won't sleep for the next week now Hmm

Had all manner of good intentions about going to a slimming world group this morning but accidentally slept through till after it had started as micro and I spent the morning in bed we didn't tell DH that we actually got some sleep last night so he left us in bed ah well there's always next week!

Viroids I have a sling problem... first I had the moby and then I bought the papoozle... then I bought a ring sling... then I won a toddler Mai Tei that I fully intend on swapping for a woven wrap once it comes through as there's no way I want to carry 12kg to 30kg worth of toddler on my back but it was in a mega dip and I'd been hoping to win one of the woven wraps and then I found a Lenny Lamb Lace ring sling that wasn't much more than I estimated original retail price to be so I bought that, and a friend is lending me a woven wrap so I can see what size I need, and I'm waiting on result from 3 more dips (raffles)... DH is going to do his nut when the ones that aren't already here come through the mail... it's just as well he goes back to work tomorrow...

WilHarlot · 07/04/2015 16:08

OMG Boo. What the hell are you going to do with all those slings?

TheBooMonster · 07/04/2015 17:11

I don't know wil Blush I think I'll sell the moby and eventually the papoozle, and if I sell the mai tai and the first ring sling that might give me a pot of £100- £150 in total to spend on my own woven and then I'd just have 2... but DH will do his nut when he sees them all together Hmm

ZylaB · 07/04/2015 17:38

boo I think you need to go to slingaholics anonymous!! Grin

Went to a nice baby group today, was a 15/20min wander away so could go with the pram which was ace too! We've also just sorted out some wedding pictures and lots of baby pics to put up on the wall, I'm doing a selection of mismatched white frames of different sizes so we can add to it without it looking weird, I'm feeling proud of myself!

RPopz · 07/04/2015 19:34

Oooh I love a good gallery wall Zyla ... I'm working on ours in the living room Smile

I'm debating whether to get a cheapy Ikea cot to make a DIY bedside cot as he's rapidly growing out of the bednest. I don't know if by the time I've bought a mattress and sheets it'll be too expensive to be worth it... He's already got a full size cot in his own room but I don't want him in there for a while.... hmmm.

Hooray for baby milestones Smile Minipopz has discovered chatting and cooing this week Grin

I survived my poo shot Wink

RPopz · 07/04/2015 19:35

Haha Boo - I've got a caboo and an ergo... I'm currently eyeing up a connecta and maybe a ring sling... Shock

FurryScoob · 07/04/2015 19:44

Miniscoobs 1 week away from being 5 months wil she's growing up so fast!

That's an impressive sling collection boo Shock

Ladies how long after you stop breastfeeding do the boobs start shrinking? Or do they never deflate? It's 6 weeks since I totally stopped & their not showing any signs of getting any smaller, still a small amount of milk in them if I squeeze them Confused

Minion · 07/04/2015 20:04

Mine took 8 weeks or so to stop giving milk. Thankfully, as that was the time I stopped getting the spots which have plagued me since getting upduffed.
Must have been the drop in hormones.

That is an impressive collection Boo!

My downstairs loo has mismatched frames with pics of us throughout the years, on the wall.

Well, this is it ladies. MINIon is in her cot, unswaddled, god knows how long she'll last but she's done 40 mins do far.
I'm on the edge every time the monitor goes...

WilHarlot · 07/04/2015 20:10

Did you stop gradually Furry? Some people produce milk for a long time afterwards. My friend said she did a year later. Are you eating anything which could be boosting your supply such as oats?

Popz you're going to get a habit too!

WilHarlot · 07/04/2015 20:12

Oh I misread, the problem is the size, not the milk. Think mine just got smaller gradually last time, didn't really notice. I have quite big boobs anyway.
