I'm feeling fine except for the odd funny turn, very strange... ECG was fine and I wasn't too much of a wimp for the blood test! Grin Wait and see now.
I've just been out for a lovely boozy evening with a pal - I had three cocktails!! Shock Om nom. Walked past Mamas & Papas on the way out of the shopping centre and succumbed to their 50% off sale Grin Spent £37 Blush Got the most adorable linen trousers, shirt & cashmere tank top combo - £95 reduced to £12.50!! Those of you with girls - £150 christening dresses reduced to £10!!

Nessalina · 08/01/2015 21:44

Lol, typical Juni, they never play ball do they??

Minion · 09/01/2015 01:34

2 and a half fucking hours and she's still pissing about. This is what happens when we are with guests. It's too loud and she gets all arsey.
I've been up nearly 24 hrs because I'm the only one who can calm her. Which is lovely and all, but Ffs!

cookielove · 09/01/2015 01:45

Oh how frustrating min Elijah has added an extra feed in during the night.not best pleased I have to say, one more day and then I get a lie in whoop whoop!

OP posts:
Nessalina · 09/01/2015 04:55

Hurrah for lie ins! Smile
Hope you're asleep now Min!! Confused

I'm a bad mum. J woke up at 4 when he usually goes til 6, just realised it's because he's in short sleeves! His little arms were freezing! Shock

cookielove · 09/01/2015 05:14

Uh ness he usually goes to 6! Not fair! From what time? I must have the only baby who won't sleep through! He is now decided not to go back to sleep at 5.16 am :(

OP posts:
Nessalina · 09/01/2015 05:25

Um he's been doing 12-6 fairly regularly Blush I know - we're so lucky!!
He hardly naps at all during the day though, so it's swings and roundabouts - I get nothing done when he's awake all the time! I need to get to the sling library and find one that he likes so I can carry him about with me instead of being chained to the living room!
He just did feed, change, feed, poo, feed - phew! Back asleep now, hoping we get a decent run...

Minion · 09/01/2015 06:35

Nope, not asleep. Still awake. 1 hr kip.
Think she may have a tummy ache
Poor bairn

FurryScoob · 09/01/2015 11:50

Please tell me the longer sleeps happen after this growth spurt, I've been up every hour for the last 2 nights feeding Skyla & she shows no sign of slowing down! I've resorted to watching Big Brother to stay awake. Sad

Minion · 09/01/2015 12:06

Who knows man!
I'm clueless..
All I know is after this one, her cute polka dot all in ones are more snug!

Nessalina · 09/01/2015 12:38

Ooh it's satisfying when they start outgrowing stuff! I've got a load of 0-3 stuff that he hasn't even worn yet that I must sort out!!
At 4 weeks J was still waking every 2-3 hours, I think the sleeping through started after his 6 week growth spurt?
Postman just knocked on the door whilst I was BFing - turns out he'd got the wrong house!!! Confused

FurryScoob · 09/01/2015 13:01

Did you remember to put your boobs away before answering the door ness? I've come close a couple of times to flashing the poor postman!

NCT group all have babies that sleep better after this growth spurt too so I'm hopeing Skyla gets the hang of it. I've set up camp on the sofa with my boobs out for the day, DP's just left for work & won't be back to 5ish tomorrow morning so it's a day of crap tv for us Smile

willywallace · 09/01/2015 13:13

Yeah i think it is after about 6 weeks as well from what i remember. Think we had a week or two of torture again around the four month mark maybe and then it settled down again.

RPopz · 09/01/2015 13:55

Afternoon viroids... I'll join the no sleepies club!

Bednesters - how long did it take to get your wee ones to sleep in it? Ours is currently being used as an expensive and bulky bedside table! He will not be put down on a night... he either cries or just lays there snuffling and fussing... He sleeps fine in our bed though... Blush Hmm Confused

RPopz · 09/01/2015 13:57

I'm happy to cosleep but DH is a bit shifty about it (understandably since they ram it down your throat not to do it at every opportunity...). But life's too short... Confused

JuniDD · 09/01/2015 14:06

DD always slept in hers but she's always been fine in her own bed so no help here!

At six weeks it was like a switch flicked and it all got loads easier. She also started smiling.

She us finally asleep after no naps from half eight. Sat with her asleep on my lap, both boobs out not daring to move. But my parents are coming and they have a key... Shock Shock

RPopz · 09/01/2015 14:17

Its weird cos he sleeps fine in the Moses basket downstairs in the day...

willywallace · 09/01/2015 14:24

Would he sleep in Moses basket at night Popz? Maybe just use that for now.

cookielove · 09/01/2015 14:58

I am not too jealous of the sleeping through Elijah can actually do it. Just doesn't want to at the moment Hmm

I use to settle Elijah on his moses basket matteress when he was asleep I would transfer him into the basket it use to work well. Then he went into a sleepyhead and now he sleeps on his tummy.

OP posts:
JuniDD · 09/01/2015 15:19

Ah. When I say always I mean at night. Daytime is for sleeping on mummy. Or not at all, like today. She's had no longer than half an hour. Grr.

Minion · 09/01/2015 15:29

R sleeps in her Moses basket for naps and bedtime, she's too small for the co sleeper and rolls around something chronic.
We also swaddle her at bedtime.. Bad parents but hey, it works. She thrashes around too much and is very veeerrryyy handsy, so swaddling is our godsend.
Well, the little madam is out with grandma, then her aunty is going for a long walk so hopefully that will knock her out a bit...
Famous last words.

RPopz · 09/01/2015 15:29

We did the first couple of nights in the Moses basket before we built the bednest. Can't remember if that was any better...

Jeez does this crying ever end? Crying cos he's a week old. A week ago at this time I was being mangled... :-/ Crying cos his cord's dropped off! And I gave him formula last night and this morning and he's only been on the boob 20 mins at a time today so I've prob fucked up my milk supply. ARGH.

Nessalina · 09/01/2015 15:45

Yep, made myself decent first! Grin

Popz - You can't fuck up your milk supply this early on! Don't wirry, just keep feeding. Little and often will still boost prolactin and give your boobs the order to get the milk in Grin
I think it took about a week before he slept in the Bednest. Up til then he was nocturnal, so I slept 10-12 and DH was downstairs with him, then 12-6 I was downstairs with him, mostly feeding with the odd snooze in the Moses basket, then id hand back over 6-9 ish. He's been happy in it ever since, but I almost always feed to sleep and put him in it snoozing.
I couldn't get on with co-sleeping, it made me too nervous Blush

Ha!! I'm doing similar Juni, but my boobs are away and I'm not expecting visitors... I do however really need a wee!!

cookielove · 09/01/2015 19:04

Er swaddling doesn't make you a bad mum?!? Where did you hear that? We were actively encouraged to swaddle but Elijah use to tantrum being all tucked in.

Elijah on his tummy = bad mummy

OP posts:
JuniDD · 09/01/2015 19:11

Is Elijah rolling? We were all put down on our fronts, it's ok!
I never heard that swaddling was bad. Just do what works!

So...DD been asleep for about two hours now and I'm not sure what to do...haha! Bit tired to bother with tidying. Oh well, I'll just watch the One Show.
