So here is thread 2 which I accidentally filled up whoops!

Goes to show how much time we mums have on our hands!

Ok quick roll call too!

juni nope not rolling yet, I was desperate for him to when he first started to sleep on his front but he has been on his tummy for so long now that i'm not worried. He can lift his head and shoulders clear off the floor/bed and turn it side to side.

I think he is choosing not to roll cause he knows I want him to Grin

Mws here don't advocate it due to hip dysplasia apparently.
They can do one, they bloody swaddled til the cows came home, in the ward!
I'm gonna try the bednest soon too

JuniDD · 09/01/2015 19:45

Ah well, whatever it takes to get through the night, innit.

I love our Bednest so much, I'll be sad to send it back (have rented it for six months). That said, she's getting so long she'll be out of it soon enough. Where is the time going?!

So, DD's now been asleep for about three hours. I wish she could've told me how long she was going to go, I could've done with a bit of a nap myself. Envy

willywallace · 09/01/2015 20:59

I think you just have to make sure the legs are in the right position and the environment isn't too hot and then there's no problem with swaddling. Everyone sounds quite happy this evening Smile .

Minion · 09/01/2015 21:04

Happy! R certainly is, just done a mega dump in my arms. She must think we literally shit money, good job nappies are cheap at aldi!
Just typical she did it as we are trying to get her asleep.

Nessalina · 10/01/2015 00:57

Oh I hate that, J did it yesterday - he'd failed to sleep after boob 1 so gave boob 2 then he did a massive poo and woke himself up! Confused
I love our Bednest too Smile It's just so convenient in the middle of the night for BFing, and it's good for more hands-on settling him (I literally have to hold his hands sometimes to avoid the sleep-twitch waking!). I wish he liked being swaddled because his hands are a sleep-liability, but he hates it!
Right, I think he's down now, so I'm off to sleep! Night all Smilex

FurryScoob · 10/01/2015 02:16

Are aldi nappies good? I think we've tried every make but aldi so far, tesco seem to be coping with the epic poo explosions at the moment.

Grin 2 hour block of sleep & she's fed & nodded off again. I'm off back to duvet land for some speed sleeping!

Minion · 10/01/2015 04:30

So far so good on the aldi front scoob! And their nappy sacks smell nice!
We have our sleeping angel back. The husband sent me upstairs for sleep last night whilst he slept downstairs with her, I've just come down to check all ok, she's gone textbook good girl again.
Phew.
I was so worried she was poorly.
What a relief

Nessalina · 10/01/2015 07:21

Hurrah! Good stuff all round Smile J did his 6hrs again, thank goodness! I think I'm getting a cold so I need all the help I can get.
It sounds really wild and scary outside Shock Glad I don't have to be anywhere today!

FurryScoob · 10/01/2015 08:31

Envy I want my good sleeping baby back! 2 hour block was just a 1 off the rest were nearly all hourly feeds but on the good side this must be getting my milk supply up to where it should be so I can give the pump back. I've had no chance to express for 2 days, there's always a baby stuck to a boob.

How are you doing wil any rumblings in the womble?

willywallace · 10/01/2015 09:29

Only rumblings are due to massive bloat! Did anyone else get that at the end? Need to avoid food today where possible I think.

Sorry you're not getting much sleep, every hour doesn't sound fun!

JuniDD · 10/01/2015 10:56

Don't avoid food.! keep your energy up!

RPopz · 10/01/2015 12:51

Still feeling crappy Wil? I didn't get the dodgy belly til I was actually in labour... Shock

Good news on the sleeping Min Smile DS slept from 4 til almost 9 this morningafter a 5 hour boobathon last night Shock I actually feel a bit bad for not waking him up!! Hmm In our bed though... Bednest wasn't happening after I spilt 40ml of expressed milk on the mattress last night Angry Angry Angry Angry

In other news, I can see my crotch again!! Shock Not that it's something I necessarily want to see right now....

RPopz · 10/01/2015 12:53

We're using Aldi nappies, and they seem fine Smile Epic price too.

willywallace · 10/01/2015 13:08

Haha hurrah for crotch spotting! No, feel fine except for bloaty pains. Can't quite get motivated today though.

Minion · 10/01/2015 19:12

The downside to seeing crotch after so long is crotch botch.
Ie, seeing the gigantic hack I made of my lady garden in preparation for an audience.
Let's say symmetry went out the window.

Bargain alert ladies.. Found a gorgeous camel coloured duffel cape coat with hood, down from £300 to £78! It was my 'push' let's ignore the fact she was evacuated by the sunroof present!
It's so beautiful. It's all swishy and the like!

What's everyone up to this Weekend!?

We've taken R round the rellies, kids got more money than us now! She keeps getting money shoved in our hands!
It's well good being a kid!

JuniDD · 10/01/2015 22:12

Yay for new coat and well-off babies!

We had a nice day. Went to the aquarium then out for lunch. DD was brilliant but wouldn't sleep. When we for home DP said he was off for a nap and that was that! I was stuck with a non-sleeping baby alone all afternoon. Well, I can do that in the week and have the comfort of my own bed! (stayed downstairs to avoid him.moaning). Went to bed myself at half 7 but now awake and hungry!

willywallace · 10/01/2015 22:16

MrWil would do that too Juni. I try to get in first these days.

Great news on the coat Min, sounds lovely.

I'm booked in for a bikini wax so hopefully I don't have to suffer the crotch botch fate Grin .

RPopz · 11/01/2015 01:06

Crotch botch... lol. I vaguely remember having a hack away down there after having my show... Doesn't seem to have achieved much haha!!

Push presents?? Is this a thing?? Shock Envy

DS also currently has more cash than we do hah. Need to name the poor child so can hurry up and get him a bank account.

FurryScoob · 11/01/2015 09:47

Push presents have been around for hundreds of years but viroids your getting it all wrong. I've just googled it, traditionally an eternity ring is given by the husband after the birth of the first child. It should be a metal band covered in a single line of precious stones (usually diamonds).
minion your coat sounds lovely but ur DH's getting off lightly especially if you got it in a sale!
We're not married DP hasn't bought me any type of diamond, after all the pushing & sleepless nights I think he owes me some! not of the haribo variety

willywallace · 11/01/2015 10:48

I'd settle for a coat. Got nothing last time and I'm sure this time will be much the same. Although we can't really afford babies and diamonds!

RPopz · 11/01/2015 11:00

Haha as if that is a real thing!! I told DH years ago he had to buy me an eternity ring after we had a baby Wink Can't see it happening though... its my birthday soon though....

JuniDD · 11/01/2015 11:40

Ah you guys. I'm getting a non-push present (31 hours of labour counts though) of the traditional variety. Waiting to see if my fat fingers go down though. Wink

Minion · 11/01/2015 15:20

I did have an eternity ring in mind to be truthful but the dope we bought the house off decided to get his kitchen redone with heating. It's farking freezing, so out goes the diamonds and in comes one plumber and his radiator.
Brrrr.
Seriously, how baltic is it!

RPopz · 11/01/2015 19:21

Cold... I remember that! I've got the epic sweats Hmm This pregnancy glamour just never ends...
