Juni see if they have a Tula and if so tell me what it's like?! Grin

Min newborns are surely meant to spend their entire existence in sleepsuits? I don't plan on ever changing the baby out of one.

Minion · 07/01/2015 13:07

Yes I thought so too wil, but the bloke has other ideas! He's bought all manner of different tiny outfits which ride up on her. He didn't dare argue with me this morning though, I was up all night with this munchkin so am seriously sleep deprived.
She's kipping now though, which is so cute, does anyone else just sit there and stare at them and think 'ahh fuck it, everything else can wait'?

RPopz · 07/01/2015 13:27

Yes Min Smile "I can just sit here and kiss your head all day..." I actually want to cry at how cute he is. That's normal right Grin

Bloody water birth woman has actually put a pic on her profile now... think I need to let it go...

JuniDD · 07/01/2015 14:12

popz I feel you, girl. After the section, which I was feeling crap about, there was a woman on the ward wanging in and on and on abt how proud she was to push the baby out etc. It made me feel shit. But now I don't care less. It gets better, keep talking. You're doing great.

wil I don't like carriers that don't cross at the back. Got a connecta now but had an action baby carrier which I think I'll go for.

Nessalina · 07/01/2015 15:03

J is 8 weeks old and has worn nothing but sleepsuits, and the odd long sleeved vest & trousers combo!
He's got some v.cute outfits in 3-6 months, so I think when we start a proper evening routine we'll make a thing out of changing him out of 'day' clothes into sleepsuits at night. But for now he's in a sleepsuit until it gets an overload of spit/vom/wee/poo on it, then he gets changed into another sleepsuit! Grin

My friend lent me a Moby and I've watched a video on how to use it, but I just can't seem to get it right Confused Once I've put it on there doesn't seem to be any room in it for J!!

FurryScoob · 07/01/2015 15:49

Eewwww water birth pics are not needed on FB, popz she sounds bonkers!
Skyla's worn proper clothes once in 7 weeks, I can't get the hang of fighting her to get leggings/trousers on & socks come off within seconds!
Is there a growth spurt around 7ish weeks? She's like a bottomless pit today I can't fill her up.

cookielove · 07/01/2015 16:03

Awww Elijah has been in outfits fromantic about 4 weeks, he wears baby grows for bed though. I love love him in little outfits. You can't really tell but in the picture he is wearing the cutest moose pj's.

scoob yes, the hv told me yesterday to expect another one at 7-8 weeks! joy!
Think R is still in the midst of hers. She's a right greedy chops.
I can't wait until we start to get some sort of expression back, eg smiles etc.
It's quite distressing when you don't get anything back except a screaming red faced little tyke pushing you away with her hands cause you dated approach without a bottle.
Didn't get to the post office.
My week is not as productive as I'd hoped!

There's always tomorrow... The mantra of many a new mother I'm sure.

willywallace · 07/01/2015 17:04

Why is that Juni? Do you feel they're more supportive? Does a connecta cross at the back? I haven't heard of the active one before.

JuniDD · 07/01/2015 17:46

I struggle to fit the clip at my neck cos my shoulders are so tight. Gonna wear her in the Moby tomo, keep going ness

What does my baby want? Not milk, not winding, maybe bored...then she'll be overstimulated. Everything on the flowchart points to pacing and patting eventually....too tired and MrJ is going to the gym Sad Sad

JuniDD · 07/01/2015 18:31

Spooky. Just put her in the Moby and she's asleep! Winning (for about 30 mins. And I want a cup of tea. Boo).

JuniDD · 07/01/2015 18:35

I hadn't heard of active baby carriers either but I think it's ace. Not a million miles from a Tula, really. You can wear them and Connectas like a Tula or cross at the back.

willywallace · 07/01/2015 18:39

Thank you for info. Must see if we have a local library. We didn't last time but one might have sprung up since.

JuniDD · 07/01/2015 19:00

no probs. you had an ok day?

FurryScoob · 07/01/2015 19:44

Thanks minion good job your HV tells you things, mine forgot to mention growth spurts.
All this sling talk is like another language, they sound good tho so I may have to google later.

cookielove · 07/01/2015 20:11

min I posted some pictures on fb for you :)

I shall have a squiz cookie, just seeing if R likes her new tommee tippee bottles.. Seems to.
She's got hang of her dummy now too.and that seems to calm her tits when she's kipping too. Hopefully were in for a better night.
scoob, only cause I asked whether the past few days were cause of it, she told me. Ive got 6 weeks before the next meltdown.
My hv is lovely, very supportive and interested in me as well as R. I was nervous about meeting her tbh, don't know why, now. Lthey probably see some right things.

willywallace · 07/01/2015 20:40

They really do Min.

Had a crappy day Juni, think I must have a tummy bug - perfect timing Hmm .

Nessalina · 08/01/2015 11:23

Morning all, how did everybody sleep? Smile
Just been for a blood test and ECG, been having palpitations since J was born Confused I think it's stress - it usually happens when I'm running about like a chicken with it's head cut off, or when he's upset. Hope it's nothing to worry about...

Minion · 08/01/2015 14:04

Oh Cripes ness, hopefully it's just a blip. Don't suppose you get acid reflux a bit either (when not pg) as palpitations can be a symptom of h.pylori, a harmless bacteria which lives in half the worlds guts. Just need some omeprazol and acid stuff.

We slept ok, she's back to her regular sleeps now, so hopefully that's this growth spurt done and dusted. However, after I'd managed bum change, feed, burp and sleep in 30 mins early this morning, the husband did his shift, took him an age, couldn't get her back off to sleep, so I took over, and she finally passed out at 7am.,
Little monkey. Were off to my in laws for the weekend shortly so there'll be plenty of people to do this whilst we relax..
Happy days!

cookielove · 08/01/2015 15:01

Elijah is a pain in the bum! I thought he had gone back into his great routine buy nope he had other plans. Went down at 7.30 slept till 8.40 had a bottle and back to sleep woke at 1.00 had 5 oz. Woke at 3.30 had a cuddle woke at 5 for a bottle and then at 7.15 and was all giggly and cute. Grrrrr. He has had a 40 min nap this am and went back off at 12.10 and is still asleep now!

JuniDD · 08/01/2015 15:28

Hope you're ok ness and hope today has been better wil.

Well I had a "funny" experience today. Put DD in the sling I've rented, a connecta, and walked to the park. She hated it and wailed when we got there so I took her out and fed her briefly in a bench. Then carried her out in my arms trailing straps and buckles as the bugaboo brigade marched by. Confused Had to put her back in as we live up a huge hill but way to show me up kid!

She did a good sleep and lots of short naps today which is nice ad she's not so grumbly.

FurryScoob · 08/01/2015 17:59

Hope your ok ness

You must live somewhere posh juni to have a bugaboo brigade, only the odd one around here.

Skyla's still on a feeding/pooing marathon, currently crashed out on me farting & smiling in her sleep!

Went out clothes shopping this afternoon, didn't realise how bad my stretch marks were until I saw my belly in the lovely 3 sided mirror, they show up really well in the changing room lights! Sad

JuniDD · 08/01/2015 18:16

He he, I live in a super deprived area but down the road is being gentrified so it's all bugaboos. I do wonder if they all had to have a meeting to decide who was getting which colour. Wink

cookielove · 08/01/2015 19:03

And he's down for the night fx!

Dh is working late, :( so just me and my baby tonight.
