Too late for qustion marks.???????????

Diege · 10/07/2006 22:41

Evening!! Just a quickie before bed (gosh that sounds a bit rude )RODEO, yes, Whitby might be a better idea! That hill in RHB is a slog, and not much there when you get to the top!! I know the perfect spot too in Whitby, by the harbour/pier, by the little rides?? We have time yet to plan, as you say . BTW, you don't look as if you have an extra ounce of weight to lose at all, so get rid of all thoughts of 'semi-diets'!!!! You look great!!!
Re: LIbby's dimple, that bottom-hole (snigger)idea is intriging!! Wow, wonder how the body knows where the 'right' place is??? Don;t know if this is what happended to Libby, but her 'dimple' is only noticable to the touch, and was picked up on when they feel down the spine at birth/subsequent check-ups. It was noted, but has not even been written in her records, so assume it's of no conseqence . Know a few other people who also have this (adults and children) so presume it must be pretty common!!
BROWNIE: Your outfit sounds lovely, just right anbd WHY havn't you bought the beaded bag yet??? It has your name on it!!!
Bye for now,
Diege

Londoner · 11/07/2006 09:41

Hi ,

GG, lol a lot at "put a bowl on her head", so funny! Went okay in the end but was v. scary...... she looks like cleopatra now as her hair is so thick! But v. gorgeous. She's home from school today as she slipped in the bath last night and came down hard on the back of her head and still has a headache. Was looking on google for symptoms of concussion and it seems I should just keep an eye on her.... she seems normal....
Oh, my computer isn't 'good' enough for Google Earth, ah well, have heard it's amazing!
Diege, really interesting about Libby's dimple.
Brownie, well done on the outfit, now you can really look forward to the wedding!
BoB - looked on web at Big Green Gathering, wow, solar powered festival! Looks great! "..ditch your mobile phones and run to the hills!"
Right, Kitty is walking round in circles repeating "i'm hungry, I'm hungry"... best go then.

Londoner · 11/07/2006 09:45

Oh, ChaCha, what's on the breakfast menu today then....... Pizza... marshmallow... coca-cola.... or perhaps something a little unusual?

LaylaandSethsmum · 11/07/2006 09:50

Diege I think the dimple thing is quite common my friends little girl has one and the drs called it a sacral dimple. Hers is quite deep and she had to have an ultrasound as a newborn to check it had actually closed and not extended down to her spine. After this her mum realised that she had one too but never knew!

Rodeo · 11/07/2006 10:26

Morning,
Lovely and sunny here after last night's torrential downpour, dp took childre to school this morning so still in my baggy bummed pyjamas - rather embarrassing this morning as I tidied the children's room in them the window cleaner popped up at the window
Londoner - ouch, poor Kitty! Glad her fringe looks lovely - any pics yet?! Give her a hug from us, hope she starts feeling better soon. Is she moving up to Juniors this year or is she at a Primary? We had B's Juniors meeting a few days ago and it seems really big! Thanks for the hugs too, I think with both children leaving playgroup/Infants and starting new schools I'm feeling a bit anxious. Esp with Joe, just the usual 'will he make friends, will his teacher like him' He can come over a bit stand offish but he's just shy, and can also be a bit silly as a way to compensate IYKWIM but he is only 4 and my logical side knows the teacher knows this too......also coming to terms with last baby thing is difficult too, but got loads to look forward too so should concentrate on that.....sorry gone on a bit! Best to let it out eh?! Thanks
Well done nurse L&S! Knew you'd know! Are you able to do town one morning? I can't do next Tues, Weds or Fri (leaving assemblies etc) but could do this week? Give us a text
Diege - I know the place! Good spot! Where are you staying? Are you self-catering?
Brownie, Are you sorted for the wedding then now? When is it BTW? Is it a family member - sorry I can't remember. You'll look lovely The big question is has T got his outfit sorted?!
GG I would LOVE to look on that Google Earth thing but my computer is too crap too Will try to remember to look next time I go to my Dad's!
Speak later x x x

ChaCha · 11/07/2006 12:06

Hi girls,

Hope everyone is well. Sunny warm day here too, we're just back from a nice walk, DS is asleep so have my mag and 'treats' lined up for next half hour, yipee! [ahhhh the small things in life]

Rodeo - It's only natural to feel that way about the little ones isn't it? I have a friend who is just them same; she doesn't say much but I can tell. All mothers must be the same. Although this is your last baby I can't tell you how lucky you are to have the beautiful kids that you do, and I mean that. I have a wonderful friend who has been TTC now for 8 years and she's really given up hope - I can't tell you what she'd do for the chance of just one little baby. My heart goes out to her.
As for me, did not think that i would have kids, my obstetrician told me after he performed the last keyhole surgery that I was in a mess and on hearing the news of my PG would not even allow me to get excited until we'd had an 8 week scan - he could not believe it and said it was a miracle after the state I was in - so can you imagine how i feel with this unexpected miracle?! Kid are a blessing, one, two, three, ten! We are so very lucky to be part of this group so here's to having healthy babies and good health [raises can of lychee rubicon] he hee!

Now that i've babbled on and gotten side tracked (sorry this subject was very much on my mind this morning) I've forgotten the replies!

Brownie - Wedding outfit sounds lush. You will be the belle of the ball! What's T wearing?

ChaCha · 11/07/2006 12:36

Yes, have just remembered:

Londoner, sorry to have made an arrangement that I now can't keep. DH has told me now where he's working and it's nowhere near Had a look at underground map, can't remember what it was called South Woodford? something like that, It's on the North Eastern line I think, miles away. Shame!

browniechick · 11/07/2006 12:57

Hey All, just a quick post, whilst at work! (shush!!)
Diege - yes I asked myself the same Question re handbag - will have to go and purchase very soon!
Rodeo - it is one of DHs best friends, so not a family member, but close to.
T doesn't have an outfit - he is not coming. It is an evening /afternoon wedding anyway (service at 5pm) so wouldn't fit in with his routine anyway.

Hope all others are having a good day! Last night of Brownies tonight, for Summer anyway! Hoorah - 2 months off!!!! (I love it really!!)

Speak more later

Brownie

novadandypowder · 11/07/2006 13:28

Chacha - Thank you, you really are a lovely person and we're lucky to have you around

Well, hello everyone, updates...

Noo's first tooth broke through the skin this morning

She can now do proper clapping with flat hands and does this at every opportunity

The cats have punctured the paddling pool

We're about to move on to the next chapter of the AK book - yummy

Rodeo, I'm sure you'll be the same when J starts his first job - lol! We parents can never stop worrying...

Hi everyone else [waves]

ChaCha · 11/07/2006 13:54

Hey Nova and Nat Tis good to have you back!!
I had to LOL at cats puncturing paddling pool!!! Must be the image in my head of what was going through their minds as they were doing this...three guesses what's on this weekends shopping list?

DS's two little teeth have also just broke through in the last couple of days, they are very sharp, he keeps trying to guide my hand into his mouth to bite my hand and it's painful..imagine how they must feel...eeeek! Are you still giving NooNoo the powders? I find that they are coming in more useful now.

Is it the second stage weaning you're on or the 9-12 bit? I'm a bit fed up now that we've come to second stage as recipes are not so easy and involve stock and the like. I was actually going to ask everyone what i can do with chicken and fish other than those few recipes. Any ideas? let me know how you're getting along with it, I could do with some help

Welcome back Nova

GarfieldsGirl · 11/07/2006 18:17

ChaCha - here here (hear hear?) to that. You must be so looking forward to seeing that little heart beating away tomorrow. Will you have a 4d scan this time? What about you bob? I think they're a lot cheaper than they were a year ago, and many more places do them.

Hi nova [waving], good to hear from you, I did lol at the cats puncturing teh paddling pool. Well done to Noo for clapping.

Hello to the rest of you!!!!!

tessasmum · 11/07/2006 19:15

Hello all, especially Nova, are things sorted? Hope so as you are missed.
Bicycle repair kit might sort out paddling pool if its worth it.

Wise, wise words ChaCha.

Well we have the first grass stains on little trousers this evening, crawling round garden after Tessa and football though not catching either. Still not getting tummy off the ground but has become very quick over the past few days, now eyeing up stairs

Can keep up with reading but very hard to post ATM as Ash still in 'office' and now needs to be here for naps too as too adventurous to sleep on our bed anymore! Think its time for another strop to try and get things moving on the Ash and Tessa sharing front

tessasmum · 11/07/2006 19:16

Sorry, have said this in my head but realised I haven't said it on here

CONGRATULATIONS BoB

tessasmum · 11/07/2006 19:18

Try that again

Congratulations BoB

tessasmum · 11/07/2006 19:19

Rats!!! You know what I mean though
