Hi everyone!!! Many congrats of the day for BEKS and BELLA!!!
Have been ploughing through the exam papers, getting slower rather than speeding up I think!!! Already just past a deadline, so will have to 'ban' myself from here for a day or two I fear!!
Quick catch up; yes, we're the same with food and the heat, just cold yogs, fruit and cereal really, and lots of night wakings too. Not feeling 100% with some v'late nights and v. early mornings, but it will be over soon when the papers are marked
Party sounded fab RODEO (oh and some lovely chunky beads from accessorize and (surprisingly) dotty p's . Don't get me started on FC sale too, mmmmm (no wonder I need the marking money!!).
Right, back to it

ChaCha · 05/07/2006 14:28

Hi girls,

Londoner, Tesco delivery is great, especially so when LO was tiny. I sometimes enjoy doing the shopping in the supermarket though as I enjoy going out, sounds a bit sad really but I often enjoy it. Guess we'll be back to deliveries soon though.

Rodeo - Sounds like Bella had a lovely day. Wonder how Beks is doing? Hope T hasn't come down with the CP!! Tea on linen trousers....eeeeek!!!

Was also wondering where Nova is, very unlike her not to post especially as she can log on from laptop which i thought she would do if in bed. If we don't hear from her by end of week perhaps we could get in touch? Might give her a text. Hope everything is okay!

Diege, GG and Brown owl, wanted to post to you but LO is grumping...

GarfieldsGirl · 05/07/2006 17:54

Hello How has everyones days been?

Nova - I hope you are all OK. Give us a quick wave if you're lurking.

Rodeo - Sounds like Bella had a fab party yesterday, must be great fun to have an outdoor party.

Londoner - yes I am bf. Have realised today that Sean moves his top arm to pinch my arm, also does 'pinch and tug'. I did order my shopping online in the end last night. I'm very picky (some may (rightly) say anal) about some things so online shopping is good for when I can't be bothered (or occasions like yesterday). Also, I used to work at the Tesco that I shop at so I tend to hunt people down for chats .

Diege - did you have to mention fc sale? The credit card may get a hammering. I think once the markings over you need to take a nice big rest, and a shopping spree does sound well deserved.

Hello ChaCha, Brownie and everybody else!

Oh, and so many great films coming out - Over the Hedge, Cars and Garfield. That'll be expensive when they all come out on dvd.

novadandypowder · 05/07/2006 20:34

hi ladies, we're alive .

I've just been taking a bit of a break from the board while I sort out some personal stuff. Not sure when I'll be back 'full time'

Congratulations to Chacha x

browniechick · 05/07/2006 20:52

Anyway, taking advantage of opportunity to have relax and early night tonight! So am off now - Love to all

Brownie

Rodeo · 05/07/2006 21:35

Evening
Nova, so glad to hear from you Hope things are going ok and really hope to see you back 'full time' soon, we do miss you - loads
Eary night for me too - these early mornings are really doing me in!

BEKsmum · 05/07/2006 23:07

Evening girls

Happy Birthday Bella, glad you had a great party, hope you enjoyed your special day!

Thank you all so much for the B'Day wishes, it really makes a girl feel special. Have been thoroughly spoilt today and have had a great time. Dh took the day off and I had a loads of the girls round with their kids so it ended up a kids tea party really, but with wine thrown in for the adults!

Am really excited about tomorrow now, will bore you all with the details when I get back. Chacha it means I get to deliberately throw a fast moving car into a skid and race around in a police car with the siren going - how big a kid/tomboy am I

Nova good to see you back, hope all is ok with you and that you get the personal things sorted soon, you're missed on here, so hurry back

Poor Thomas fell asleep while eating his dinner today, with so many people in the house he didn't know if he was coming or going, so dh could be in for a fun day with the pair of them tomorrow as they will both be completely overtired. But I reckon that because of the novelty of having daddy to themselves for the day they will be have perfectly and make me look a liar when i say it's hard work

Thomas has finally got the two sharp points of his front teeth through and boy does it hurt when he bites you now He too does the pulling and twisiting, but he finds it hilarious to pull on dh's chest and tummy hair - needless to say I think it's funny too

Oh by the way can you lot with the thunder storms send them this way please, we had a little storm yesterday and about 15 minutes of rain today, just enough to make me clean the house as I thought everyone was going to have to stay inside, then the sun came out - grrr, still at least the house was tidy for two minutes.

Right off to get some beauty sleep, hope you are all well, catch up with you tomorrow Beks

Diege · 05/07/2006 23:28

Hi all Just a quickie as my bed is calling...Great to see you back NOVA . Have a great day tommorrow BEKS!! Wow, you are brave, but I can see the attraction .
Have just heard L's wail, so best investigate ...
Speak tommorrow

tessasmum · 06/07/2006 11:13

Wow, I go away for a week and miss the biggest news in ages!

CONGRATULATIONS CHACHA

Belated Happy Birthday to BEKS and Bella.

Londoner/GG - glad we are not the only night-wakers on here. Is it only the bf babies? Tessa slept through from 13 weeks and she was bf too, keep telling Ash that but he's not listening! Agree about 4am wakening too, he goes back down no problem but I have to try and deal with birdies singing their hearts out

Flights were fine with both of them tho poor Ash was very confused on the way over. It was all too interesting so he missed his nap (which is usually 2 hours) and then on the really interesting plane thingie I kept shoving a boob in his mouth to make him drink so his ears would be OK. He doesn't usually 'snack' so really didn't know what I was up to!
It was good to spend some time with my parents, Tessa had a fantastic time with Grandpa going for long walks and learning to fly a kite and Ash thought the wooden floors were just made for him
Nice to be away but nice to be back too.

Need to go and book summer holiday now - hurrah for ukcampsite.co.uk Rodeo!

Londoner · 06/07/2006 11:26

Hello all,

GG, lol at you going to Tesco for a chat, know what you and ChaCha mean about needing to get out to shop... it's so easy to get 'stuck' at home these days..... Oh, it's so good to hear you're bf too, did you bf Owen? I bf the others to 10/11 months but advice was v. different then, am considering going to 12 months this time, how about you? Lol at Sean's 'pinch and tug' technique.
Rodeo, so lovely to hear about Bella's party, sounds like you really pulled it off well, phew eh! You must be relieved now, did you collapse in a heap afterwards? What's a Leapster?
Thanks for beads idea, excellent stuff, will have to get most enormous outrageous set possible as have good excuse. Me a pushy mum? Lol, absolutely! Elizabeth has her own sticker chart and is looking forward to her first biscuit just as soon as she crawls to the five metre marker. Hope your trousers are okay!
ChaCha, how are you? When is your scan, can't believe you might be 7/8 weeks already!
Diege, missing your posts! Haven't you finished that marking yet?
Hi Nova, glad you're okay. Is not the same without all your news, tips and advice. Hope you come back soon.
BoB, missing all your news, sounds like you have your hands full, have picture of you with pinny and feather duster patiently chastising/removing baby O from up the curtains etc.
Brownie, glad you got what you wanted at Deb sale, noone was going to get to that top before you eh.... easy work to locate with Brownie orienteering skills in place "... coming through, that one's mine girls!"
BEKs, glad you had a great B.Day, and hope you have a fantastic time driving today! Can't wait to see the footage. Lol at Thomas pulling your dh chest hairs, so funny! Elizabeth does the same and then 'posts' them into dh mouth!
Hi Golden JenJam, LilJ, Twinkle, Enthusia and anyone else I've missed......

Londoner · 06/07/2006 11:33

Hi Tessa! Cross posted there, good to have you back....
Holiday sounds great! Lol at you trying to bf unwilling baby on plane, you are v.funny. Interesting about the bf babies wanting the night feeds...... ".... aaaah, think I might just fit a little bit more in mum..."

ChaCha · 06/07/2006 15:23

Welcome back Tessasmum and thank you. Break sounds good, bet Tessa loved it and grandparents must have been thrilled. LO loves our wooden floors and even though i've tried to cover what I can with rugs and large cushions he still manages to find a surface and loves the noise his hands or feet make banging on it.

Today is one of those days - My PC crashed!! This is a major tragedy. Can only use it now in safe mode which is no good as I can't email work to client. I had back up in a shared file that I can access from laptop but had saved the documents in the actual shared folder on PC rather than the folder in location itself (complicated) and now I'm stuffed. Hope client sympathises. Have given a few other options instead until someone can fix the blasted thing

House is a bombsite, DH is stressed with running around from job to job not returning home until after 9pm, am lucky if i can get one meal on the table these days...and oh boy, DS has just sicked him milk onto the highchair tray!! Lovely...brb!

Working from home is hard, will have to arrange proper childcare if anymore work comes in. Thanks for listening, needed to rant big time!!!!! On a happier note, I feel good, not at all like last pregnancy (touch wood) and just the odd bouts of nausea here and there

Beks - What did Ben say when you told him what you were doing? Is he going to watch, or just the video? I bet he's well impressed with his mummy...what about DH..is he into that too? I'm intrigued!

Off to look for a clean cup ... Heeeelp!

Diege · 06/07/2006 15:30

Just sneaked on for a min, boss lurking . Hi everyone [whispers]...just letting you know I'm still alive, marking reaching crisis point (still got 300 scripts to go...deadline 14th July).
Loving all the news about the babaies; E sounds like she's got a proper little personality LONDONER, lol at chest hair gane
Hi TESSA! Good to have you back, and very pleased by postive flight experinece. Have dreaded (non)hols looming (well, end of Aug') with me and friend (Imogen look-a-like) and our 6 kids, no Dhs to help!!!
Ha!! Boss just came in and of course I guiltily stood up, back to the screen with hands on hips, like how OBVIOUS was that!! Don't think he suspeced anything!

Diege · 06/07/2006 15:33

Hi CHACHA! Know what you mean about working from home; agree, while you have the odd day when you can actually do stuff, hardest part is the stopping and starting looking after a baby involves ! Still do it in work now (outside home) though, so maybe just me

babyonboard · 06/07/2006 15:42

Hi all!

Happy belated birthday Beks..wow that sounds like great fun! Bet it's good stress relief..lol

Chacha glad to hear you're feeling okay..I can imagine it's hard trying to work with the lo around, and adding p.c troubles to that too..argh!

Londoner, lol at 'sticker chart', has she started her piano and ballet lessons yet? heheee
yesterday dp suggested we establish a naughty step..hope he was joking

Diege, hope you're keeping on top of work and gtting enough sleep! Yoy must be busy to be withholding from musnet..lol

Rodeo, happy belated bday to bella too! the party sounds lovely, glad you got good weather for itas i'm sure it would hav been a more fraught affair if all the tots were cooped up inside!

Nova glad to hear all is well! don't be a stranger!

Tessasmum - the holiday sounds great, and how impressive that you had an easy flight! I bet it was lovely to spend time with your family

hope I haven't missed anyone..theres a lot to cth up on!

I can understand the going out to the supermaket thing..i hate it when dp goes without telling me , lol. Often I will walk to sainsburys just for some milk/fruit and spend ages wandering around..O loves the trolley seats but he grips onto he sides as if it's a scary ride..teehee

I have posted some pics on yahoo..noticed there aren't many that have been newly posted..i'd love to see some new ones from you all! (londoner..E just gets prettier and prettier! )

Hi BAM..glad all is well with you!

OP posts:
ChaCha · 06/07/2006 16:15

Honestly Busy I was just thinking of you the other day and was wondering how college placement etc were going? Life appears to be looking up for you and you sound happy, I am glad to hear this. You have been missed on here, keep in touch especially with broadband up and running soon. I feel a bit guilty about being PG so soon because I know DS will not get the same attention, but in all honesty his dad is fantastic spends all his time with him even sleeping with him at night so I'm not too worried and also having had an illness for a few years followed by two sets of key hole surgery I can only be grateful for having another chance at motherhood! I am thankful and will take it as it comes, in for a penny in for a pound? He hee!

CADS - Where are you? It's been so long, I really hope you see this. Haven't seen you or Alfiesmum in a long, long time. Pls update on how you all are. Have you been over to S.Africa recently and how are the family? Missed your posts.

BoB - LOL

babyonboard · 06/07/2006 16:16

I've added a video file too..but can't see if it's working!?

OP posts:
ChaCha · 06/07/2006 16:28

will check for you now

ChaCha · 06/07/2006 16:36

Oh It's working BoB!!!! And isn't he just great...I can't believe he's crawling like that, that's fantastic. Oh he is so yummy, well I better stop there because another little man might get a bit jealous..he hee! DS in not crawling yet, just creeping and rolling everywhere. He has also found that by pulling cover he can get quick access to remote controls..hmm! He is quite devious, he thinks I can't see him...

Wonderful video, great idea. Is Oz Oz the first of our Nov crawlers then?

babyonboard · 06/07/2006 16:46

Hooray! I'm amazed it worked..I had to compress it first and everything..lol..

Love the new photos chacha..what gorgeous bright blue eyes! I hadn't seen some of those paddling pool ones too..looks like he loves it!
That rugby top is great too..i've been hunting for one for O (hint..hint..wheres it from!?)
