Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
GarfieldsGirl · 01/06/2006 20:47

OK, Sean is 7mths a week today. He's crawling, and pulling himself to standing. Doesn't like sitting at all, I think he enjoys standing so he's at the same height as his big brother. They adore each other, Seans face lights up when he sees Owen, even has a photo of him in his cot.
He's not liking his cot being at the lower level, and won't settle until he's in bed with mummy and daddy (must get out of this habit).
His favourite food is Harvester chocolate cake (takes after mummy there!), but also loves Rusk.
Mummy - SAHM/skivvy/taxi-driver...don't want to go to work, love being at home too much (most of the time) although want to go back to college at some point, don't know what to do though.
Would love a couple more LOs, but is impossible due to lack of space/money for bigger house Sad

GarfieldsGirl · 01/06/2006 20:49

Oh, and I think AFs back last couple of days, but not really sure. Not happy if it is, that was half the point of getting implant, and wasn't expecting them for another 6mths.

LaylaandSethsmum · 01/06/2006 21:09

Heres my update but fingers are sore after weeding so may be brief!
Seth is now 7 mths. He has a great big beaming smile which lights up his whole face! He sits unaided, rolls onto his sides but has only rolled over fully twice can't really be bothered when big sis will bring everything he yells for!!
He eats 3 meals a day although some days more than others, now on 4 bottles and a morning boob feed!
INcredibly nosey think he would be happier if his head rotated the full 360 degrees!!
Still doesn't sleep through wakes x1 during night but does go down at 7 without a fuss so can't really complain.
No teeth but very dribbly , all in all lovely!!

I'm still on mat leave although unpaid now Sad. Due to go back approx 22 october will have had a full year. Ideally would love to stay at home full time but we need my money as we can't manage just on DH's money long term!! Don't really mind as I enjoy my job and its only 3 days. Seth and Layla will go to my mums and MIL alternate weeks which is what I did before although Layla will be ay school full time from sept! Don't know where the time has gone!!Smile

GarfieldsGirl · 01/06/2006 21:40

ggaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh Now I'm feeling really guilty, and thinking its my fault that Bear doesn't want to post anymoreon here. I know my first few posts the other night were prettymuch swearing every other word, so maybe I should just scarper cos Bears been here a lot longer than I have been and went through the pg with all you guys too...

ChaCha · 01/06/2006 21:41

Hi again,

It's a really nice idea BoB to have everyone posting an update. I am enjoying reading everyone's baby chat :)

Our update: LO will be 6mths old on Saturday :o He is on two small meals a day, just vegetables and fruit and enjoys most of what I prepare for him. I now have him weighed every month so will be going again next week. He loves his bottles and is still drinking as much. He can roll over on both sides, creeping rather than crawling, can sit unaided for a minute or so before toppling over. He still sleeps with us in our bed. I will stop there as like you all could talk about him all night :o

GG - You sound chirpier and more relaxed. Looks like things are on the up :) Keep smiling.

Beks - Can't you just continue to be a SAHM?
That's great, really looking fwd to seeing Londoner too.

Have a lovely weekend everyone x

ChaCha · 01/06/2006 21:45

GG - Don't worry about it. Hopfully Bear will understand and don't think of going anywhere. Maybe Bear misses us all and will be back :)

ChaCha · 01/06/2006 21:47

That sounds naff. I am pants at this stuff.

Londoner and GO were always the great word'ers'

Diege · 01/06/2006 22:38

Evening!! Just a quickie as way behind with things tonight!! BOB: love the stuff, you are so talented. Will def. place order for those little boots come autumn!!
GG: don't you dare go anywhere girl!! I think it's a bit sad that people get caught up in language use when the real issues are actually to do with what's going on in people's live. Swearing fades into insignificance in comparison to the stuff you've been going through!!!
Going to have a read through updates now Smile.
Night all!
Diege Sad

Diege · 01/06/2006 22:51

Don't know why I put a Sad there!! Meant Smile of course!!

BEKsmum · 02/06/2006 03:08

Arrrrrghhhhhhh having a seriously bad night here, Thomas will not stop screaming and it's doing my blinking head in. He has only slept for an hour or so all night and has just dropped off again, leaving the rest of the household wide awake hence the post.

Loving the updates, our lo's are really doing well.

GG stick around, you needed to get what you said off your chest, we don't normally rant on here and that was exceptional circumstances, I'm sure when Bear sees it go back to normal she'll come back.

Chacha I can and have stayed at home since Ben was born but the little bit I can earn in the evening pays for the luxuries in life and I think dh wants me to go back for the peace and quiet Grin

Right the ratbag appears to have finally worn himself out so no need to remove him to the shed, leaving the pc on as background noise for him, see you all tomorrow. Beks

beartime · 02/06/2006 07:50

ChaCha - I am not trying to condemn anyone, and yes it was GG's post that finally got to me, tho' it had been mounting up for a while on other threads of MN actually more than this one. But GG it's not just you, and besides you have a right to do that - its not in the rules not to swear or anything. And i know you were having a hard time. And I haven't got anything against anyone for it either. You're all free to do whatever you want and that's fine - it's just that it's not good for me to be around it so much. But as I said I'm not trying to get anyone to change or to feel bad - it's just a personal decision I've made for my own good.

GG don't go anywhere pleeeeeeese though - cos I've already decided to go. And its not just you - its on other posts and threads etc. And besides there aren't any rules against it, so if I feel like this I need to go somewhere where there is a rule don't I! Sorry I'm fumbling around here - that's the trouble with being honest! AAAAAArgh I should have just left and not said anything!! It's just I always like people to say why they leave. Anyway I'll be back from time to time cos I want to hear about all the babies.

Here now I'll have a rant - I spent four hours making soup today for Caleb with home-made veg stock, then the soup, then I forgot to take the bayleaves out and blended them in, and on googling found that they damage the inside of the stomach if left in so I had to chuck it all down the sink

BEKsmum · 02/06/2006 10:29

Morning one very guilt ridden but also very cross mummy here.

I took Thomas to the drs yesterday as he appeared to be in some form of pain but I couldn't work out what so thought I'd ask the experts. Needless to say Tom was all smiles and happy while there and after checking him over the dr said his chest & ears were clear except one had a bit of wax in it so it must just be constipation.

As you can see from my 3am post we had another rough night last night & Thomas didn't get much sympathy as I thought he was just playing up. He woke agian at 4:30am and finally got him off to sleep again at 7am with me and have woken up to find his ear full of a yellow pus Sad Going back to the drs at midday to find out if it's just an infection or whether he has perforated his ear drum. Flaming drs drive me nuts Angry

Sorry for the rant had to get it off my chest Smile

Beartime why don't you just take a break from us for a while rather than leaving completely, we'll grant you a leave of absence as we are officially the nicest thread on MN Smile
Gutted about the soup, how infuriating, look after yourself & caleb and let us know how you are getting on & keep in touch via the yahoo site then you won't miss any meet ups.

Beks

ChaCha · 02/06/2006 12:16

Beks - AngryTypical! I hope that they are able to diagnose him this time, pls let us know what they say. Hopefully nothing too serious and T can be prescribed something to take the pain away. I also hope that once you know what's wrong you can relax a little and get some kip. Thinking of you.

Bear - :) Was nice to see your name pop up again. You addressed your situation well today and I admire your honesty. I do hope that you'll still post from time to time, at least if only on this thread. Sorry about the stock Shock that's the kind of stuff that happens to me. Try again, it will be worth it. Take care.

DH brough breakfast upstairs this morning minus LO's! I cannot put into words his face when watching us eat, I had to run downstairs and mash him a banana Blush Wide eyes, drooling at mouth, chewy face, kicking legs, sticking tongue out...LOL :o

Inlaws on way and house like bombsite. LO doesn't want to sleep, has gotten to heavy for bouncy chair (want to stand in it!!) and thinks its great fun to throw toys out of his seat swing rather than play nicely. Must incorporate new strategy when cleaning.

Diege · 02/06/2006 13:17

Afternoon!! A quickie from work as we go away tommorrow for a week and I need to finish off bits and pieces. Had our exam board today, but of course most of us are taking asos (action short of a strike) so didn't attend. We find out today how much of a deduction we are facing from our pay Sad.
BEKS: I've heard the same thing so many times after dr's visits!!! You must be so mad Angry. Fingers crossed for this afternoon; at least you can get it sorted b4 weekend Smile
CHACHA:lol at breakfast scenario Grin Have inspired me to try mashed banana for L next week when on hols (nowhere exotic, just Wales with friends/family). Usually work from home on a Fri, but had to be in today, so consequently will have to start packing later!! Will get a list done. I think that's half the battle! (hope so!!)
Speak later!
Diege x

BEKsmum · 02/06/2006 14:28

Hi ya just a quickie from me to say yes Thomas has a perforated eardrum Sad, got some antibiotics for him and all the dr could say was oh well at least he'll feel better now - grrrrr Angry

He reckons it should heal in about 3 weeks - great!

Diege have a great week away, pop in & see my mil while you're there will you to save me doing it Smile

Chacha have you got a door bouncer, I bet Zayn would love it and it keeps Thomas amused for ages, he feels really independent in it - I would highly recommend one Smile

Hope everyone is having a good afternoon, speak soon Beks

twinkle1 · 02/06/2006 20:06

Diege,
Have a good time chuck:)
twinkle

GarfieldsGirl · 02/06/2006 21:04

Hello [sheepish emoticon]

Bear - I truly am so sorry for offending you, and making you feel this way, please accept my sincere apologies (and anyone else that I've managed to offend). I knowif I was t look back at my posts last Friday I would be shocke myself, and nobody should have to be subjected to things like that, I don't like it RL, so there's no excuse for it on here. Unfortunately my emotions took over. Very Sorry Smile

BEKs - Angry at dr. You must be so mad, Sad for Thomas, hope he's in less pain very very soon.

Diege - have a good week, you can pop into my ILs too whle you're seeing BEKs MIL!

ChaCha - lol at you having to run downstairs for Zayns breakfast!

Sean was a very good boy today at Legoland, slept all the way there and back, so nice relaxing drives.

Smile xx

browniechick · 02/06/2006 21:51

Hi All! GG - wouldn't sweat it if I was you, you didn't offend anyone. Bear must do what she feels is right for her. Am sure she will still pop in from time to time - I mean, who could resist us!!! (hypocritical emoticon, as I was worried it was me!!Blush) Anywho - what's done is done - lets all take a deep breath and move on! Smile

Well, not sure what was wrong with little T today - he didn't want any of his tea Sad but he drank his milk and went to bed fine at 6:15. He has had quite a few "loose" nappies at nursery (well 3!) and he had a really sore bum (really red - bless him!). He ate a good brekkie, and lunch - so am sure if he was hungry, he'd have eaten it - so am not overly worried. Will see how he fairs tomorrow.

Diege - have a good holiday - hope the weather is good for you.Smile

Beks - I am 32 (33 this year). So guess we could be around the same age?!

Nothing much else to report really.

Brownie & Thomas

browniechick · 02/06/2006 21:53

Oohh and Beks - very Angry at Dr - poor little T - hope he gets better soon. Lots of hugs.
x

Rodeo · 02/06/2006 21:54

Evening :)

Awwwwww, big hugs to little Thomas, poor little thing, hope he gets better really quickly :)
Chacha, heehee - new strategy for cleaning? The sooner you realise it's nigh on impossible the better Grin You may as well give up to the squalor now. Hmmmm, high chair? Door bouncer? Mediced? (no, not really, we don't want any Little Mo type scenario, that would be v.bad)
Diege, have a lovely week! When do you go? When are you back? Come on we need dates times etc, I can't recall we've recieved your holiday slip?! Agree list is half the battle. BTW your sign off last night did make me chuckle (Diege :() But then my sense of humour is a bit strange.....
GG, glad you're sticking around girl, you're one of the gang!! My outbursts are far worse than yours, Have to say I'm rather fond of a good swearing sesh :) Others may not agree but we don't have to agree on everything, some of Bears opinions weren't my cup of tea Wink, but that is life, ah well........Legoland hey? Very nice, was it busy?
We went to Twinlakes today in Melton Mowbray and I'm bloomin' sunburnt!! A weekend in Madrid and now I'm sunburnt!?! Always happens to me, first bit of British sunshine always catches me out. Jess went down a little baby slide and loved it, and she enjoyed looking at all the animals - made a concerted effort to get her out of her pushchair so she could get closer to them :) She's a real animal lover and she's in love with our cat Rose, don't think the feelings reciprocated.........
Right off for a glass of wine, now I've bored you all to tears, speak tomorrow!

Rodeo · 02/06/2006 22:01

Brownie - Aw, hope T's little red bot gets better soon, Jess's gets red and sore for no reason too, sometimes usually after some, to use your word, 'loose' nappies. I think it's just their tummies getting used to different foods and textures? I just make sure she's properly dry and then slap a load of vaseline on hich usually does the job :)

browniechick · 02/06/2006 22:17

Thanks Rodeo - cleaned it with water and cotton wool - then absolutely plastered it with SudoCrem - so hopefully it will be on the mend by tomorrow. Think he may be overdosing on fruit - the nursery give it as a morning snack, then after lunch (for pud) and then again as an afternoon snack! He has two lots of banana and a pear puree today!! Enough to make anyone "loose" I shouldn't wonder!!!! Grin
Nighty Night

Diege · 02/06/2006 22:47

Speak for yourself BROWNIE!! WinkJust puttinng my week's hol in the book, as probably won't get time to post in morning - DH has us on a tight schedule Grin. Hi to all Smile. GG more details about LL please!!! Did it live up to expectations?? RODEO: did you have pork pie??
Will see all your ILs and tell them all the goss' Grin.
Right, soz it's so short. Have just finished the list and need to get to bed before DH comes back with the shopping (ie, to avoid the whole unpacking/putting away slog). !!!
Will be back on the 11th. How many more days hols am I allowed?? Grin
Be good, and look forward to hearing all the news when I get back Smile
Diege Smile, def. not Sad

BEKsmum · 02/06/2006 23:47

Hi all, well thankfully I currently have one zonked out little man, that's Tom not my dh! Thanks for the get well wishes.

Rodeo lol at your post. Most amusing

GG glad you had a good time at LL, I really like it there although it always rains when we go so I'll let you all know when I'm going next so youd on't get wet! Wish it wasn't on a flaming hill too I'm always panting like a walrus by the time I get back to the top Grin

Brownie I'll be 32 in July, so maybe we met at a brownie outing sometime and just never realised it Grin Hope T feels better tomorrow didn't mean to send you our lurgies when I suggested rubbing shoulders Smile

Diege enjoy your hols, the sad emoticon was really 'cos you're gonna miss us all so much, it's a proven fact after all just look at Nova Grin

Right off to bed while it's quiet as dh is out on the lash all day tomorrow - lovely and then we're going to theextreme sports day at the Kent Hop Farm on Sunday, revenge is sweet bring on the roar of the engines for dh's poor head! Have a good weekend all Night Night Beks

ChaCha · 03/06/2006 00:41

Wanted to see how T was Beks - hope you all get some sleep tonight and that the antibiotics start working quickly. Remembered as I was about to flop into bed - was going to text, look at the time!!

Rodeo - I didn't get your post. What did you mean by highchair, bouncer, Little Mo etc.? Enlighten me, what did i miss, duh!!

Night all.
