Hi again!

Just realised I haven't mentioned my friend jas (with pre eclampsia)for a while... things seem to be under conrol, and she has to stay in hospital until the birth, but may be moved soon to a birthing unit for the meantime (much more comfortable!)
Her dp (in fact scrap the darling..her 'p') is still being a real jerk..thank god she has a huge support network of riends and family.

Big news from us..
and I've been desperately trying to not tell you all for ages ..

Another baby is on the way!!!!
we are just over 10 weeks..
and I am getting a very definite bump already! (as you may see in one of the new pics on yahoo.lol)

So so glad to have chacha in the same boat as it is very scary! but so exciting!

Busyalexsmummy · 06/07/2006 19:17

Blimey! your all at it!! well done and big CONGRATULATIONS!!

Diege · 06/07/2006 19:37

OMG BOB!!!!!Many congratulations!!! You know I suspected something when your mentioned your scan a few weeks ago - thought I was well off the mark though !!
HI CADS, and BAM too!!! Great to hear from you
Will try and catch up properly later
Feeling really broody now!!

babyonboard · 06/07/2006 19:52

Lol ..and thanks!

BAM- 'at it' is more than an understatement! we are amazed as it has been very 'dry' in that respect since the birth...(just like chacha says!)

Diege - lol at you suspecting, yes, I didn't mean to mention that scan, then got worried as some of you seemed to know..
I even tried to backtrack by mentioning going out drinking etc..
If only..a nice cold lager hits the spot in this heat, I am missing that!
and off coke too..don't want a repeat of my addiction to it last time round..lol

I had some scary bleeding early on, so we still haven't told family yet (can't face calling them with bad news when they are so far away) but have had a scan which was very positive!
All round I feel great! just nervous..lol

Busyalexsmummy · 06/07/2006 19:57

LOL BoB, same in this direction too, we had a scare and had to take the MAP a few weeks ago, so now back off down the drs on tuesday to have the implant fitted!lol
figured it lasts 3 yrs so that gets me through my access course and 2 yrs of uni(if i get a place!) then Ill have anougher which will get me through 1 yr of uni and 2 yrs working newly qualified, then maybe when that one runs out I'll see how I feel about having any more!lol

So....anyone else got anything they want to get off their chest...? lol

Busy busy day on here! Typing as I read!

Brownie - congrats on getting 'that top'. Excellent sounding shopping spree!

BEKs - I'm sure you have had a fab day today. Can't wait to see vids on Yahoo. I'm sure that will make me even more . T falling asleep eating dinner - O used to do that lots!

TM - glad you had a good time, sounds like the LOs did too.

Londoner - yes I did bf Owen. He 'self weaned' at about 12mths, then at 15mths went to ILs for Christmas, the upheaval meant he just wanted to bf all the time, so he self weaned again about a fortnight after we got home. I'm hoping that Sean will be quite similar, not sure if I'm strong enough to say 'NO'
lol at Elizabeths sticker chart - get those arms and legs going girl

ChaCha - rant away!

Diege - lol at you guiltily hiding pc screen!

Bob - lol at naughty step! Definite, definite bump in that piccy, there?s no hiding that one away!!! Congratulations lol at you trying to throw everyone off tyrack with lager.

All those new photos are just gogeous, they're all growing up so quick. Will add some new ones later, once I've hunted for bluetooth thingy.

BAM ? hello! Good to see you, sounds like you?ve certainly been busy lately, hands full with the boys. Congrats on passing theory and sorting access course.

Not a lot happening here I don't think, just a bit of shopping and thats it, I can't actually remember!

Right gonna go find bluetooth thing adn do those pics.

BEKsmum · 06/07/2006 21:09

Evening girls

Bob Wow Congratulations, so we were right about the scan then, thought you tried to swerve that discussion . You must be thrilled, I'm really pleased for you.

Have had the most excellent day tody, it was all I imagined and more although I must admit to being a complete tart on the skid pan but being a passenger while the experts drove was just amazing I haven't stopped saying how phenomenal it has been all day.

Right got to go as my folks have just turned up will catch up with you all later

Welcome back Tessasmum, CADS & BAM!

GarfieldsGirl · 06/07/2006 21:49

Right have added some pics on Yahoo. Have also put a vid on there, but very tiny, you have to warch it sideways, annd only 1/2 of its on there! But hey, I tried!

browniechick · 06/07/2006 22:07

Congratulations BoB !!!!!!
Can't believe it!! BFPs everywhere (NOT HERE I HASTEN TO ADD!!)
Am in again!
Londoner pmsl at your description of me clammering for that top!!! Not far off the mark I'd say!!!
Am peeved tho, as have had email from M&S to say the dress I ordered is out of stock, so they have removed from my order - buger, buger, bugger - thought I'd got that all sorted, did I say bugger??!! Back to the drawing board there then!
Diege - get back to that marking girl! just take it easy, don't want to burn yourself out....
Beks - glad you had a fab time!

Off to look at yahoo pics - am stil in about BoB - although I think most of us had guessed! You can't get anything past your friends can you!!??

Night
Brownie

Diege · 06/07/2006 22:19

Just having a teeny break...had to say the piccies on yahoo are lovely!!!, as are video clips.... LONDONER: had a good chuckle at baby bjorn piccy ; she has great taste in socks . We really do have mini-toddlers now!!
Had to chuckle at dh tonight. Libby was trashing her aquarium bouncer - so onviosly too big for it, but I like to settle her in a semi-reclining state before bed so that her supper can settle. Said (testing the waters I suppose) 'well, that was a waste of money then, and we've got the other bouncer too that's too small, may as well get rid of them.'. DH: what d'you mean??? me: well, we're not going to be needing them anymore ...Well, his face crumpled and he looked really sad, then almost pleaded for me to reconsider in a few years time...hmmm. He's been super-helpful around the house toight too, though the poor love has had to go out for a 'pint' as it's all been too much Think I may get a lot of leverage out of this one girls!!
Right, off to destroy a few more six former's summer hols/lives

babyonboard · 07/07/2006 01:00

hi!
Insomnia here..dp and boy have been soundly crashed out for hours but it's too hot for me!..plus i just watched a documentary about the london bombings which brought back memories and made me cry..

really nice to see the new photos...londoner...what's the recipe for such gorgeous kids!?lol, garfields girl..sean is so sweet..and looks so 'grown up!'

must say..Tex knew my news a while ago..and more recently so did Chacha and G.G.lol..! It was soooo hard not to tell you all..i think I did quite well! teehee... i was aiming to wait til 12 weeks but ah well!

Beks, it sounds like you had a lovely time! (i'd be scared, but i'm a bit of a wuss..lol)
My dp would love that..can you let me know where you did it?

best go back to bed I guess..I might read dp's FHM..always good

Mornign all!

Just wanted to quickly say, please ignoe Owen eating his dinner on the settee! This is not normal, I just can't be arsed to tidy back room and make a path to table! Don't know why I'm justifying myself to you all, I'm sure none of you actually care where my LOs eat there dinner, but hey-ho!

Tex - that is a great article, you look fab, must very proud.

All the babies are looking ery grown up now, not quite babies anymore. And alll those teeth!

bob - love FHM too!

Diege - think I may have ahd a bit of a result on the baby front too. We were talking about the fact that maternity's moving, so instead of being 5mins from us, it'll be 25mins. DP said 'you may as well have any more at home then'. No prompting from me. Yay! Now we just need to get on with rebuilding this house!

GarfieldsGirl · 07/07/2006 08:20

Oh and bob - love the 'dp and boy'. Very funny, hehe!

Londoner · 07/07/2006 09:48

Good morning,

???????????????????????
CONGRATULATIONS BOB & MR.BOB!
And Oskar will be a big brother too! Oh, this is so exciting, wow!
So lovely to hear your news BoB, saw the Athena piccie first and thought , "I don't remember BoB having a post natal tummy, hmmmm, wonder if she's pg....", and then logged on here, great stuff. When are you due? Is baby to be a January babe? Lol at 'naughty step', hmmmm, ballet and piano lessons, now where's my phonebook.....
Loving all the new pics and the two movies are fantastic, really fun to watch, can't believe how mobile Oskar and Sean are!
ChaCha, love the new pics from you, esp the 'Rugby' one, so gorgeous.
Thanks so much for lovely comments on my photos.
Diege, lol alot at you trying to hide MN addiction from boss, you are v.good at writing, lol!
Loving 'campaign for more babies' stories from you both Diege and GG, excellent, bring em on!
Of course girls, you do realise that on the November 2005 thread here we are going to be very much the jealous elder sibling..... competing madly for your attention with any 'other' threads..... never mind having to juggle 2 babies and all........
BEKs, your day sounds fab, we are all really proud of you and your dare-devil antics!
Hi Busy! Great to hear all your news!
ChaCha, sorry to read about your pants day yesterday, hope everythings sorts itself out...... (((hugs))))... bloomin' computer, frashern brashern[Mutley]...
Hi Cads, I remember you..
Off to Cornbury festival for the weekend, wish me luck camping, gulp...... can just see it now, mine the only tent with light on all night feeding baby while others sitting round bonfires feeling 'refreshed'...lol. Actually, it looks like a 'room' has been reserved for me and Elizabeth on an onsite bus... will let you know. Am looking forward to seeing old favourites, The Pretenders and The Waterboys(old rockeralert)....Have great weekends all.......................

Londoner · 07/07/2006 10:07

Oh, this is so funny, look.... if you click on the photo...
mother of quads .. how amazing is that!

Rodeo · 07/07/2006 11:05

Morning!

Wow - so much to catch up on, I've read all your posts but am bound to forget someone.....
OMG BOB!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! WOW! Love you new pics - what a cute bump! And such a good crawler, no wonder you're busy!
GG - What a lovely family, video's great too - all these mobile baby boys!
Londoner, love you new pics too, the ones of K & E are great, quick question - do you let Kitty carry her around? Bella loves doing it but is met by sharp intakes of breath by various members of family (ie. the MIL!), she is v. careful though and only does on carpetted areas! And is probably less likely to drop her than me.....
Chacha - what big blue eyes! Are you pleased to have a pg buddy! O & Z, big brothers hey? Glad your not feeling too sicky - I wonder if it's psychological? Diege?!
Diege, LOL at sad dh! Ahhhhh! Think 3 is def. our limit though I'm sure I'll get broody in a few years - will live it all through you lot! How many teenage lives are you ruining this summer? Have you got a tally?!
Beks, haven't read your post but sure you had a great time will catch up later! Looking forward to vid!
Hello to BAM & CAD! [waving]
Catch up more later, off to mothercare to try out some next stage carseats Bye!
Me & dp loved laughing babies video Londoner!

ChaCha · 07/07/2006 11:23

Morning girls,

BoB - Congratulations to you and your partner!! How are you feeling this PG? Any different? I was doing okay but some severe sickness and headaches kicked in yesterday afternoon which made me think 'oh it's a boy again!' Conception is probably around the same time as it was last year, i.e. beginning of cycle, wonder if there's any myth about early conception being a boy? Will be nice to have two boys similar ages to keep each other entertained (of course after the mad first few years are over) but those socks and little girl dresses are to die for...hmmm!

Beks - Glad your day was as you'd hoped. Did you get a video done? You didn't tell me Ben's reaction? How is he btw?

Will have a look at all new pics this afternoon.

Diege - Your DH sounds like a very good man around the house. My DH is okay in that area but generally prefers to look after DS while I get on with it all. He did have a bit of a rant about state of the house yesterday which i took no notice of and found dishwasher loaded and toys away this morning! He hee!

Right, hello to all, hope everyone is well. Working weekend here so lots of housework today.

Wanted to say something about July 7th, is really sad watching memorial coverage today. Am pleased to hear Islamic festival of some sort taking place yet to see what it's all about, anyone know? I hear Cat Stevens is part of it all.

BEKsmum · 07/07/2006 11:57

Can't stop just had a quick catch up.

Chacha it was nice Ben missed me and was really pleased to see me when I got in last night which was lovely. He was impressed with the video, lots of tyres squealing and being thrown around - fantastic I haven't felt this alive and motivated for ages!

The Islamic event you were talking about is at Alexandra Palace there is a website telling you all about it www.islamexpo.com or you can go to the Alexadra Palace website and it gives you details there too.

Right got to go Thomas is whinging Beks

LilJ · 07/07/2006 12:02

Hi all! So much has happened on here recently! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! to both ChaCha and BoB - that's wonderful news!

The main news here is Nathaniel is crawling! He's not a speed crawler yet, but he can make it from one end of a room to the other. So now I'm looking around my house and realizing how impossible it is going to be to baby-proof - thank god for playpens (aka Alcatraz)! He's still teething terribly and still no teeth. He was really suffering in the heat and lost his appetite for a few days, so it's much nicer when it's nice and cool like today.

I'm up for two jobs and have second interviews next Friday so it's looking like my days as a full-time Mum are coming to an end. But I'm quite excited about going back to work and I think Nathaniel is going to love going to nursery.

Well got to run as I'm having some Mums round for tea so better clean the house a bit so they don't realize what a slob I am .

J & N xx

Diege · 07/07/2006 12:12

Hello everyonje . 'Working from home' [yeah, right...] today; have so far managed to fit in school sports day, eyebrow shape and tint, shopping (baby bits and a gorgeous pair of jeans), food shopping ; have Jasmine's school fete this afternoon, so fingers crossed for the weather!
RODEO: yes, there will be a few tears on results day this year in the schools/colleges, but then when are't there! Have to say I do give what we call BOD marks ('benefit of doubt'), trying to reward postively, but then sometimes it's impossible. Lookinf forward to a nice big pay cheque for it all to get my credit card back to a respectable level!! Enjoy your mothercare trip RODEO...will you have a nosey at the clothes too?? (baby, not maternity of course! .
LONDONER:OMG the Waterboys!!! That takes me back a few years!! Are you all going to the festival?? Will it be E's first camping expeditiion? Hope the weather holds out for you .
CHACHA: bad luck with the sickness ; hopefully just a fleeting visit! You know the old early conception thing is a bit of a myth so I'm told (by midwife sister), though I know anecdotally lots of people who conceived their 'preferred' sex this way. Sickness is also stronglt linked to girls too, so you never know!! I know there are some theories that it's psychological, but don't think it was with me at all, as it was so all-consuming, and while the drip in hiossie helped, it always came back withon 24 hours . TBH, if I did have another baby, the whole sickness thing wouold def. determine time of concpetion re: work/holidays, not that plans can really be made in this area!!
Hi GG, you go there girl with your baby-planning!! How many does DP have in mind???
BROWNIE: bugger about the dress; I really felt for you there, lol!! have you had a look the FC website?? Soem lovely dresses there to tempt, and in sale too . Got one from River Island, waiting for it to arrive, v. exciting!!!
BOB: hope you get a chance to rest today, and a better night's sleep tonight. Sounds like you deserve to put your feet up and have some pampering!!
Speak later
Diege x

Diege · 07/07/2006 12:14

ChaCha · 07/07/2006 12:52

Hi again,

Thanks Beks - will go and have a look.

Hi LilJ - If you're seeing GO or JJ please pass on hellos.

BoB or any other Londoners - DH has just told me he's in London for a few days next week so was wondering if any of you would like some company? DH will be there from around 9-10 onwards and will want to pick me up around 5ish. I've just booked a private scan for the Thursday so only Tuesday and Wednesday option, Wednesday good for anyone? I can provide muffins

Londoner · 07/07/2006 12:57

You're welcome to come on over to mine ChaCha, BoB and anyone else, if it's not too much of a trek?
