I feel a little bit bad about starting this thread just now as there have been heartbreaking stories on mumsnet over the past couple of days. Ladies our thoughts are with you.

This antenatal club is particularly special, as after a long difficult nine months for all of us we are now the lucky ones who get to hold our beautiful little babies. There are lots of challenges ahead for us, of course. but hopefully we can all continue to offer support , advice and friendship during the more happy times

Hi all,

Sorry, I haven't been on here for ages! Blame it on a very busy summer!

Emily's 2 1/2 now. She's into everything and loves drawing, colouring and painting. We're still not getting a lot of words out of her- kind of worrying when development charts say children her age should be using some sentences by now, but she understands when I ask her to do something. I'm hoping that when she starts playgroup (possibly after Christmas or Easter, we're still waiting for a date for that), her language will come along and then we won't be able to keep her quiet!

Good luck Daisy. Hope you've got your new arrival by now (perhaps we share a birthday- it was mine on Wednesday!)

Hope everyone else is well.

Today I am definitely giving thanks, my lovely DD is now one, she is such a funny little person and fills our lives with sunshine - she makes me so glad I kept trying! Hope everyone else and their little miracles are all okay xxx

Happy Birthday to your DD beckle

DS2 is 14 weeks today; can't believe how quickly time has marched on.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/02/2009 14:16

Now that is weird. I didn't even look at the date of the post, but saw the thread in active convos...but the last post was in January!!

BouncingTurtle · 07/02/2009 19:47

Hello!!! We have just revived this one!

Beckle - that is lovely.. I still too give thanks for my lovely boy

Daisy - wow! 14 weeks!

Hi all,
beckle- A belated happy 1st birthday to your DD.

Daisy- congratulations on the arrival of your DS (didn't realise that was 14 weeks ago!)

Emily started doing Thursday mornings at playgroup at the beginning of January. I wasn't sure she was ready for just 1 session (couldn't afford anymore sessions anyway -free sessions won't start until September) but she's really enjoying it! I also found out at the beginning of the year, that (gulp!) she'll be starting school in September next year! She'll be 3 at the end of April- where have the years gone!

Hope everyone else and their LOs are OK.

Hi all,

Well, Emily's 3 years old today! She's now doing 2 sessions a week at playgroup and really enjoying it. Language is still a bit slow-going and she's on the waiting list for some Speech and Language Therapy, so hopefully that will help. Apart from the language, everything else seems to be normal and she loves her two older sisters to bits!

Hope everyone else is well.
