thanks for the new thread and title Katz Smile
I'm walking around with my sulky face on at the mere mention of "1st birthday" It's going too quickly and I like her just as she is Blush

katzg · 11/05/2006 15:41

my neighbour has an 18 month old who is just starting to talk properly and i can't wait for that stage.

i think i like toddlers more than babies if i'm honest.

my dd just called the gardener dada!Blushoh dear!

great tittle katz had to be done.
apparently i will be back to work on the 29thSad
have i said how much i completly hate the stupid *** that is my manager? well i hate her

i will never again feel loyal to a company, after over 10yrs bending over backwards, doing lots of hrs never paid for, leave not taken, stupid stupid meAngry

sorry i am doing lots of these
hope you all ok OMG my daughter is a toddler, little baby tantrums and all so cute

tribpot · 11/05/2006 18:02

I definitely like toddlers more than babies, not that I don't love ds, but it's much more fun now he can interact, even if some of that interaction is "NO YOU SHALL NOT REMOVE THAT TOY FROM ME, MOTHER" (toy being mobile phone, electrical cable, sharp knife, etc.)

My oldest SIL always says "if only your babies could be delivered to you aged 1" - I don't exactly know why yet but no doubt you mums of 2 or more can advise!

sfx, sympathies. I take a very dim view of company loyalty, to be quite honest. My experiences, like yours, have all been of the "you have to 'take one for the team' whenever we ask, we give you jack all in return" variety. Until my current role - this is part of the reason why I moved into the public sector before ds was born. It's a cultural thing, there is no reason for it. Companies in the UK need to be a lot more enlightened, in my view.

Just had another look at the lovely Junies. I have added a pic of my gorgeous girl. looks much better when enlarged.
I think we should see all of the little rascals.

morning all DD2 has turned into a velosaur rapter! ie she now makes the most awful screach if you remove anything from her! like trib her choice of 'toy' not always ideal!

hi all , still online for now. got keys yay.
house is in need of lots of repairs and I'm so tired of it all now. got to be in by Monday 22nd. dreading sleeping there feels weird but sure i will get used to it . put some more photos in album and i still reckon we will win less weight put on in year. still only 18lb something . hope all are well and i hope weather nicer where you all are.

love me xx

Uki · 15/05/2006 13:56

Hi all
I guess i'm popping in for my tri monthly chat. Yes the year sure has flown and DS is unbelivably active now. He doesn't look like a baby anymore he just looks like a little boy, probably because he has no baby fat to speak of. The little boy is way too interested in 'stuff' to eat so i spend the day chasing after him trying to feed him.
The london zoo sounds fun. i took DS to Sydney aquirium and he just loved it.
Love to all the mums and bubas

tribpot · 17/05/2006 16:48

Katz - no, current plan is we'll be driving down to somewhere near-ish Luton, cos a friend who lives in Oman is back during that period and staying somewhere near there, so we'll try and catch up with her and little ones either on the Friday or the Sunday.

lua · 19/05/2006 12:43

Hi All! Nice to "see" you all!

I am still planning to make it to the london meeting! I'm wondering though, if any actual southerner is going besides sfx?!?! or whther all northeners should get together and pay a first class ticket to sfx to come see the beautiful north...

Indeed the big one is arriving fast! I have two weeks to decide what to do! I feel bed for the poor mite! When DD was turning one, having a blast of cannons didn't seem quite enough... for DS I keep thinking... humm... would he even notice if we don't do anything?? Blush

I'm the second child myself, should know it better!

tribpot · 19/05/2006 15:33

I think tea and Uwila are planning to come too, any other southern softies joining the ladies of the north?

Lua - hope you're doing okay! We are having a party for ds but I expect him to take absolutely no notice of the proceedings, I'm actually doing it as a chance for me to catch up with friends and family!

giddy1 · 19/05/2006 15:41

Hhmmmmmmm ....shall I come?
does anyone want to meet me?
hmmmmmm,

decisions decisions Wink

sfxmum · 19/05/2006 17:18

i thought it all falls into the darkness past milton keynes! is it not some kind mist covered wilderness?
