Apologies for the rubbish thread title - thought I'd cobble something together though!

Hi snowy your baby was born on ds2 due date (he decided he wasn't going to arrive until 30th).

hayley how's it been going today? Hope n feeds from both sides for you soon.

A had his first jabs yesterday and is still sleepy and grizzly today. The weather here is crap too so the boys are still in pjs as not going anywhere.

I'm going to legs bums and tums tonight. First exercise since having a, think its going to kill me off.

It's my wedding anniversary on Saturday don't know what to do for it. We have to stay in so prob just cook something nice and watch a film but any ideas to make it more "anniversary"?

laughingGnomette · 12/07/2012 21:04

bear - hugs, I hope the week gets better for you.

snowy - yes! Had it a few times here and ouch! I was nervous of feeding him again after the first one. They haven't been as painful since thankfully.

hugandroll · 13/07/2012 08:04

A got me up in the night for a bottle which is now an unusual thing. Ds1 then woke at 5.30 and came into our room to jump into bed with us and didn't stay quiet or still. The result of this was he woke up a early, ds1 is already whining and stroppy as he's tired and I'm shatterred. Today is going to be a long day.

HollyPockett · 13/07/2012 08:34

Ladies, can I ask your advice?

DD nappies have taken on a new level of grossness! She's now on three bottles of formula a day (introduced gradually over the last three weeks) and three breast feeds a day. Her pooey nappies were always quite fluid like (pretty normal for bf babies) but the last two days they've been really we She's happy in herself, no crying, sleeping and eating well. She has constantly got her hands or something in her mouth and she's rubbing her ears and dribbling, so could she be teething?

Should I take her to the dr's just in case it's something I've missed?

hugandroll · 13/07/2012 10:03

holly it could be the combination feeding, sometimes it doesn't agree with babies (it made my niece sick). Or it could be a new normal for your dd but maybe speak to your hv about it. She will tell you to see the gp if she is concerned.

FWIW Aaron has really weird poos, start off green and paste like getting runnier and yellow grainy in the same poo. This is normal for him and my hv isn't concerned.

digitalgirl · 13/07/2012 19:39

hug Anniversary at home ideas: M&S special so you're not doing too much food prep. Dress up. Bottle of bubbly. Eat at the table. Candles. Music. The Artist is a beautiful film you could watch (and not too long if you're knackered and want to go to bed early).

hugandroll · 13/07/2012 20:22

Think I will do the marksy thing good idea. And candles. Dh is in the doghouse atm though as I said he can't work from home tomorrow night and he asked why. He had forgotten.....it soon dawned on him with a resounding "oh shit".

newmummyvicky · 13/07/2012 21:50

Happy aniversary hugs lets hope your hubby makes it up to U tomorrow!

Hollypocket we have lots of fluid like poo's but I only bf. Also lots of hand sucking, dribble and eye/ear rubbing. I've brought some baby Bonjela for her and I rub on her gums if I think there hurting. She seems to calm down!

Had second lot of jabs today, one grizzy/upset baby. I gave her an expressed bottle only 2.5oz at 5pm, a bf at 7pm only 5mins and no fed at 830. She normally has the last bf at that time! So gonna try a dream fed at 10pm, cos i don't think she has had enough milk to last her through the nite. Don't want to be up every 3hrs like last nite.....

On the plus side she is 13.5-lbs at 15wks, perfect on the growth line. :)

HollyPockett · 14/07/2012 21:12

Thanks all for advice. She's back to normal now, still runny but normal for her!

hugandroll · 14/07/2012 23:04

Hey ladies, I'm prob the last of us who has done this but what with trying to get my pnd under control and my tear I wasn't ready until now..... We just dtd! Dh has been so patient and is now a happy bunny.

Sorry if tmi.

JambalayaCodfishPie · 15/07/2012 08:10

Not at all Hug !! Well done you! Grin

laughingGnomette · 15/07/2012 21:24

Yay hugandroll!! Not tmi at all. :)

laughingGnomette · 15/07/2012 21:36

P.s - hugandroll, it sounds like the wedding anniversary celebrations went well then? Wink

I've been away from DP for a week with DS visiting family. He's never been apart from him for more than a day and DS has grown and changed so much this week I feel bad for him missing out. Going back in the morning though so they'll be able to have lots of cuddles and father/son catch up time together. :)

hugandroll · 15/07/2012 22:27

laughing they did indeed :)

Had my first gym session tonight and I impressed myself with my cardio. Other than my legs bums and tums session on Thursday I've done no exercise for well over a year and I ran 3k. That will be 5 then 10 in no time when I get my speed up!

digitalgirl · 16/07/2012 19:48

Slap on the back for hug getting an anniversary shag and also getting back on the treadmill!

I seem to have got my first post-partum period which is unexpected seeing as I didn't get it last time till ds1 was 6 months. Funny how it made me really question whether F will be my last or not. Of course still haven't actually had sex yet...

In other news F slept over 10 hours straight last night! Don't think ds1 has ever slept that long!

hugandroll · 16/07/2012 20:39

digitalgirl that is a bloody good sleep bet you felt like a new woman!

A is a bit of a sensitive soul at the moment. One minute he is smiling, the next we get his sad face and tears, no reason other than he is sad about "something". He is also a lot more cuddly than ds1 was, he really loves to be held and rocked, especially to sleep. I do enjoy the cuddles but I think ds1 is feeling a bit left out atm. I did painting with him today (he also painted his face and belly after I had cleaned the biro off it) but feel like I'm neglecting him a bit.

newmummyvicky · 16/07/2012 21:21

Well done hugandroll on your exercise and your sexercise lol. I struggle to fit it in no more that once a week now! How your live changes.

I've been getting on better with bf in public, done it on the pier, a children park/farm and the doctors. Been using my large scarf and its working quite well. L's wind is soooo much better, she is growing out of it or getting use to my sqirting milk flow. Bless her

I tried her on formula milk tonight she took only 3oz out of 5oz's. Didn't seem overly keen! Not sure If I will stick to that or carry on doing one expressed bottle a day?

She is still only sleeping around 6hrs at night, very jealous of those babies doing over 8hrs, can't remember what that feels like!

Flisspaps · 16/07/2012 23:02

hug DS has been the same. And I feel DD's been neglected for far too long but hopefully with DS's naps becoming more predictable, I can definitely plan something just for her each day.

vicky Envy at your 6 hours sleep!

VintageNancy · 16/07/2012 23:13

Sleep is a dirty word in our house. Em has gone from sleeping 10-5 to waking every 3 hours. I'm so tired :(. And she seems to only have really short cat naps too. Hope it's just a phase.

However in other news she rolled from her front to back for the first time today in front of our friends at the library. Very proud mummy.

Thaleia · 17/07/2012 16:42

Hi Ladies,

do you remember me - I was/ am the one with the stupid questions ....

Sorry to have dropped off, we had a horrendous time unfortunately but better times are coming! I have PND and Raphael and I were in for quite a ride. Breastfeeding exclusively had to stop as the little one only gained to maintain, he wasn't growing. Apparently this happens when you give in and have too much of everything but sleep: worry, anxiousness, stress. There was a time when I thought nobody loved me and that was though on DH.

But while it's not all singing and dancing just yet, there is now light at the end of the tunnel and it's not an oncoming train anymore :))

Haven't been on the web for some time but now that I'm feeling more myself again, I'm back and I look forward of reading back what you've all been up to.

Raphael is almost 3 months now and we started to leave the house and meet other people. It's a bit scary at times but all in all we're making progress and at least some of the other mums seem to enjoy my company and watching them with there little ones is quite assuring and I don't feel as being such a bad mum.

How is everyone else? And how are the babes? Any teeth? Rolling over? Bashing toys?

Glad to be back.
Thali

HenriettaChicken · 17/07/2012 17:22

Hello, lovely, Thaleia!

So good to have you back...sorry you've had a difficult time of it.

Bill is 3 months today and currently grizzling, so I'd better get off here - but wanted to say 'hello' and 'welcome back'. We missed you :)

Flisspaps · 17/07/2012 17:52

Welcome back Thaleia Grin I'm glad that there's a light at the end of the tunnel Smile

If you want to join then we've got a FB group going so we can see photos etc - MN April 2012. It's closed so only we can see what's posted, if you want to join then search for us, and request to join (let me know your initials so I know you're you IYKWIM!)

DS just cries if I put him on his front. Cries and throws his legs up as if he's doing the Caterpillar Hmm, no rolling!

OP posts:
hugandroll · 17/07/2012 19:09

Hi thaleia welcome back. If you ever need to talk I also have pnd, on 100mg sertraline and the past week or so have felt pretty normal. It is really important to try and get out (although the weather is crap for it) as I find the days I am stuck in all day are worse than when I get out (even if its just a walk around Asda).

No rolling here yet but a is trying. He is a grump at the moment I don't know what's wrong with him. All he does is cry its a bit worrying as its even when he's being held!

Thaleia · 17/07/2012 20:34

Thanks for having me back!

hey hugandroll - I know it's important to go out and you're right, the trips to the supermarket are actually the best because strangers are nice to you and that makes me feel better. Also have been to the 1 o'clock clubs (are they only in London?) and it was good to have a bit of small talk there.

No rolling over here, don't think he's actually trying. He found both his hands and is kind of grasping at the dangling gym things.

I hope the weather stays like this for a while, it lifts the mood and it makes you want to go out - so more more more please!!

LaTristesse · 17/07/2012 20:36

Yay Thaleia, welcome back, we missed you! Glad things are looking up for you...
